00:00I'm Lucy Fink, and this week is five days of my fiancé picking out my outfits.
00:05All right, let's do this.
00:07Okay, so last week I was scrolling through YouTube, I was just perusing the comments
00:10section, trying to see what you guys have been wanting to see from me, and I came across
00:14a comment that suggested that I let my fiancé, Michael, pick out my clothes for an entire
00:19week.
00:20I thought it was an amazing suggestion, I actually really liked the idea, and then I
00:23noticed that hundreds of people had given this comment a thumbs up.
00:27And that's when I realized, maybe this type of content is just what the internet is looking
00:32for.
00:33We're rolling.

00:38What kind of video are you trying to make?
00:39Um, hey Michael.

00:42Not too much.
00:43For the past few days, I have sort of sent Michael off on his own, and he's been hunting
00:48and gathering for clothing for me.
00:51Should we take a look?

00:53All right, let's start with Monday.

01:00So I was scrolling through your Instagram for inspiration, and I came across this old
01:06photo.
01:07Very cute.
01:08I used that as inspiration for the first outfit.

01:11So let's take a look what we got.
01:12We have this long sleeve shirt slash sweater.
01:16A nice mustard color.
01:18Then we're going with this little thing over it.
01:21Oh.
01:23What I originally found on Amazon was this long skirt, which reminded me kind of like...

01:34This I think is a little bit more of a feasible option, right?

01:45Very neutral shoes to go with a colorful outfit.
01:49I went through your stuff and got you a couple hair ties.
01:52Oh, so I'm going pigtails.
01:53From the moment I put Monday's outfit on, I felt like I was channeling childhood Lucy.
01:58The outfit itself was actually very cute, and surprisingly, it was pretty in style.
02:03Michael did accidentally buy the wrong size top, so it was a little bit big.
02:06This actually looks a little large.

02:09I think I went with extra small.

02:14I just pinned it to keep it in place.
02:16Honestly, the outfit was very cute, but I have to say, I think it was the hairstyle
02:20that truly just threw that look right over the edge.
02:23I haven't worn my hair like that in years, but there's something about tying your hair
02:26up in pigtails that just makes you act and feel like a kid.
02:30I didn't want to do anything except for bop around all day and play games, and so I was
02:35playing shuffleboard, I was dancing, twirling my gum on my finger, all things I did as
02:40a child.
02:41For the entire day, I felt about 20 years younger, and truthfully, when I look at that
02:45photo of me and then I compare it to the way I actually looked on Monday, I'd say it
02:49was pretty spot on.
02:55Time for Tuesday.
02:56Okay, so before I grab the stuff, I'm pretty big into sports.
03:00Yes.
03:00And one of the big fashion trends in the past few years is athleisure.
03:05So because of that, I went with something that's kind of in that realm.
03:09Cool.
03:10But also on the colorful side.
03:11Okay.
03:12Pink bag.
03:12And it matches the clothing.
03:14A crop top type deal with a hood.
03:16Mm-hmm.
03:17I thought that was pretty cute for you.

03:21I think this is one of my favorite ones.
03:23I loved Tuesday's outfit.
03:26He got this matching set on Amazon, which is honestly not typically where I shop for everyday
03:31clothes.
03:32But now I'm thinking that I gotta peruse the site and shop for some cute stuff.

03:46I don't generally wear one single color from head to toe.

03:52And on Tuesday, I was full pink.

03:56It really was a statement outfit.
03:57Not to mention the cropped sweatshirt with the matching sweatpants.
04:01The whole thing was a very modern day athleisure street style look.
04:05I was pretty impressed with Michael.
04:07I thought the look was very cute.
04:09But of course, he couldn't just stop there.
04:12You know the expression, quit while you're ahead?
04:14He did not appear.
04:16Okay, what is in the blue bag?

04:21For my favorite sport.
04:23This is a statement piece for sure.

04:26The baseball earrings.
04:28They were some of the least functional pieces of jewelry I've ever seen in my whole life.
04:34Wear them for a day and then maybe give them away.
04:37I appreciate that you bought me jewelry.
04:40Truthfully, I think someone would only ever wear these earrings if they were going to a baseball game and they
04:46were an extreme fanatic.
04:47If it was Halloween and they were going to a costume party dressed as a giant baseball.
04:53Or, and the only possible scenario for this or would be if their fiance picked out their outfit and they
05:00had no choice because it was for a YouTube video and the whole world was counting on them.
05:04But regardless of the earrings, this look was actually very cute.

05:12I actually went to a thrift store.
05:15With this, I wanted to test myself a little bit and go into one of these stores and just see
05:20what the most loosey, best thing could be that I could walk away with.
05:24Okay, so you're actually, this is like not a joke.

05:29So like compared to the stuff you already got me.
05:32Why is that other stuff not a joke?
05:34First of all, I was so proud of Michael for the fact that he even thought to shop at a
05:39thrift store for Wednesday's outfit.
05:40He knows that I've donated clothing a ton of times before and I'm pretty sure he knows that almost every
05:45time I go in there and drop something off, I find something else that's cute that I want to swap
05:50it for.
05:50So to start out, you get this little cute top.
05:56This is cute.
05:57Yeah.
05:58Huh.
05:58I'm gonna put this on right now.
06:00It fits me like a glove.
06:02So I thought that could go under this very stylish set of overalls.

06:10I knew that I was gonna like this look from the moment he pulled everything out of the bag.
06:14It was cute, it was casual, it was really something that I would pick out for myself.

06:21It does look a little big though.

06:24But just like Monday's plaid crop top, these lace overalls were a little bit too big on me so I
06:29had to pin them in the back.
06:30However, we will give Michael a pass for this one because he did buy it at a thrift store where
06:35there's generally only one of each item.
06:38And so whatever size is on the rack is the size you gotta take.

07:42I've seen these all over the internet and I was waiting for somebody to purchase one of
07:47these for me.
07:48I personally believe that this outfit was Michael's way of trying to get back at me
07:53for talking about pizza all the time.
07:55But if that is what your intentions were mister, then you did not succeed.
08:01Because I thought this was a very, very cute outfit.

08:26I got myself a slice of pizza to bring down to the office for lunch.

08:38I was a little bit hungry on the walk so I stopped and took one bite.
08:43I even ran into a Try Living with Lucy fan outside of the pizza restaurant.
08:47Luckily, we met a fan on the street while I had my pizza pocket.
08:50And I had to just act normal while I had this pizza pocket slung around my neck.
08:54More than any of the three previous looks, this look definitely drew the most attention
08:58from passersby on the street.

09:12I do feel the need to give my honest review of the pizza pocket.
09:16It's a genius, beyond genius invention, and it fits nice on the neck and it's, you know,
09:20perfect size.
09:21The Ziploc feature keeps the slice nice and warm, which is a great thing, but it also locks
09:26in the moisture, which does make the slice a little bit soggy.
09:30So I just wanted to be honest about that.
09:32But overall, the pizza pocket was a major hit and this whole outfit from head to toe just
09:37had me feeling right in my element.
09:41So, this next one, for your Friday look, I went to a place I know you like to shop at.
09:47Zara.
09:48Nice.
09:49Whoa, a lot of fabric.

09:51It just keeps coming out.

09:54I'm not even sure Michael knew what articles of clothing he picked out for Friday's outfit.
10:00So this is a skirt.

10:14I'm wondering what top you got me with this.

10:23This doesn't look like it will fit me.
10:24This top was a little too big once again.
10:27And the problem was that the only way to really hold it in place properly was by using binder clips.
10:32So it was not that subtle.
10:34To be honest, this is not an outfit that I would typically wear.
10:37I would definitely wear the top with some other bottoms, maybe white jeans.
10:41And I would certainly wear the skirt with another top, maybe a white top.
10:45But once you pair them together, it is just a statement.
10:49I feel like these will fit the disco theme.
10:52Yeah.
10:54But being in such a brightly colored outfit and in such a loud pattern did make me start
10:59to wonder what other fabrics and patterns I could rock.
11:02And I found myself stopping on the streets to look at some interesting fabrics.
11:06Living in New York City, I pass vendors like that on almost every single corner.
11:10And I never feel tempted to stop.
11:12So I'm going to go ahead and blame that on the outfit.
11:15Michael did such a good job at this challenge.
11:18Each outfit he picked for me was incredibly unique.
11:21And it's actually pretty crazy how your personality can start to change just based on the clothes you're wearing.
11:26I felt carefree and youthful in my childhood look.
11:29I felt playful and summery in the thrift store look.
11:32I felt powerful and cool in my athleisure.
11:35Funny and lighthearted in my pizza outfit.
11:37And totally creative and powerful in my matching set.
11:41I'm not sure Michael even knew how impactful each of these outfit choices was going to be.
11:46But when all is said and done, he nailed it.
11:48And who knows, maybe I'll let him do it again sometime soon.
11:51I'm just so grateful every time you come on set with me.
11:54And every time you jump into videos with me.
