00:28Back then I was probably as
00:29size 8 and I couldn't even fit half of the dresses. She was a size 16 so we
00:34actually got laughed out of a bridal boutique and we decided to quit our
00:38careers and open the first designer plus-size bridal boutique in the nation.
00:58Be curvy in your bust area. You could be a smaller girl throughout the waist. You could have, you know,
01:04J-Lo, Beyonce type booty.
01:05So we needed to find designers that had structure that understood that and the
01:10fits would work well and that was a process in itself.
01:22I think what's special about us is we're willing to meet them wherever they are in
01:25that moment and try to keep things calm and offer just a soothing environment
01:29where we are taking care of the dress. They can just relax and show up to the appointments.
01:47I definitely feel like I'm part of the family and I just met everyone so, you know, that feel alone
01:52makes a difference in making, you know, your choice on your big day.
02:02We're family first here. When you walk into our doors, we hug people. You know, we didn't open this business
02:09just because we thought there was an opportunity to make money.
02:12We opened it because I never wanted anyone to feel the way my sister felt the day she got laughed
02:18at.
02:18And so we're just real, we're honest here. You walk through our doors, we just want you to feel good.
02:23So I think that's maybe what makes us different.
