00:00I just want to take a moment right now and thank you all so much for giving me a platform
00:04to talk about something that mainstream media doesn't want to talk about.
00:08Mental health, anxiety, suicide, depression, and so much more that I talk about on this album.
00:13From racism, discrimination, sexism, domestic violence, sexual assault, and so much more.
00:18I don't give a damn if you're black, white, or any color in between.
00:21I don't care if you're Christian, you're Muslim, you're gay, you're straight.
00:24I am here to fight for your equality because I believe that we are all born equal, but we are
00:29not treated equally, and that is why we must fight.
00:31We must fight for the equality of every man, woman, and child, regardless of race, religion, color, creed, and sexual
00:37orientation.
00:38So I say here and now, if you believe in this message and my message of peace, love, and positivity
00:43and equality for all,
00:44then I demand that you rise to your feet and applaud not only for yourselves, but for the foundation we
00:50are laying for our children.
00:54Working on 1-800, which is, you know, 1-800-273-8255, that was a hard song to write, you
01:01know, because I had to take myself and put myself in that mentality of someone who wanted to take their
01:05life.
01:05The thing I think I was most scared about was the subject matter, you know, to discuss a lot of
01:09the things I'm doing.
01:10Because I've never talked about this ever before, I've never talked about it, and I was just scared.
01:13I was scared out of my mind, you know.
01:14But once again, this comes down to the, you know, words that I've heard, like, Logic, you saved my life,
01:20Logic, you were there for me when nobody else was, you know, on previous albums and mixtapes.
01:24And in my mind, once again, I was like, well, I wasn't even trying to do that.
01:28So can you imagine if I actually tried to do it, if I sat there and did it?
01:31Because I don't think that you can sugarcoat these things.
01:33You can't sugarcoat cyberbullying and racism and homophobia and all these.
01:37You have to do it like it is, keep it 100%, and know that the overall message is using the
01:42negativity of the world as an aspect to create a final solution of positivity, which is hopefully going to be
01:49the final outcome when people see the video and continue to hear the song and the music that's hopefully going
01:53to come for quite some time.
01:55What if I silence my own fear and I say, I'm scared to talk about my race.
02:04I'm scared to talk about the state of this country, but I'm going to do it anyway.
02:07I'm going to persevere.
02:09I'm still persecuted every single day for being myself, you know, but I just, I'd rather be hated for who
02:15I am than loved for who I'm not.
