00:00Ultimately, I don't think women make these decisions casually.
00:05I think they wrestle with these things in profound ways,
00:09in consultation with their pastors or their spouses
00:13or their doctors and their family members.
00:17We will not give up our right to state and legal abortions.
00:24I've never had an abortion, and I don't know if I would.
00:29But it doesn't mean that I wouldn't fight to the death
00:34for women to make their own choices for their own human bodies.
00:38I can't stand aside with two beautiful young girls of my own
00:45and accept that we're going to return to those days.
00:50As a man, I see no wisdom in going backwards.
00:56We will not allow our bodies to be owned and controlled by men in government,
01:02or men anywhere for that matter.
01:05We will not allow our compassionate souls to get stepped on.
01:09It's important to voice things that have, you know, your personal stories.
01:13And even if you get flack for it, which I've done in the past,
01:15and I know many people have, but I think it's better to tell the truth
01:18and to share your story because there are so many women out there
01:22that don't necessarily feel confident
01:24or they feel so much shame connected to something they've done
01:27or a decision that they've made, and to demystify that,
01:30to talk about it and be open and honest about your own personal experience.
01:33When you love someone, you want the best for them.
01:36And that means you would do anything to protect them
01:38from being forced to do something against their will.
01:43I think most women feel that way.
01:45But when it comes to abortion, it can be hard to say the words.
01:48So I just really encourage you to not tell women what to do
01:55and not pursue these laws that really are in nobody's best interest.
02:03So...
