00:01I play Spencer Hastings on Pretty Little Liars.
00:04And this year, we have jumped five years
00:07into the future of the girls' lives.
00:09And over those past five years,
00:12she's had to learn a lot.
00:14She's had to learn how to take care of herself.
00:17And I think she's had to learn how to become a normal person
00:19because she was absolutely tortured
00:22for her latter part of her childhood by A,
00:26who is Charlotte.
00:27And I think when she got spat out on the other side,
00:31when Charlotte turned herself in,
00:33suddenly Spencer had to learn how to be a normal girl.
00:35She had to finally go to college.
00:37She had to pick a job that she wanted to go to.
00:40She had to go through a lot of boyfriend drama,
00:43which you'll find out about.
00:45And so I think that she's definitely learned
00:48what it means to have a chance to be normal.
00:52And then what have I learned over these past five years?
00:55Oh, man.
00:57I've learned to be patient.
00:58You know, when I started this show, I was just out of college.
01:01And I thought I was going to move to New York,
01:03like, probably live right out there.
01:05There's the Freedom Tower.
01:06And I was going to, you know, I thought I knew, like,
01:10exactly who I wanted to be in the world and, like,
01:12what kind of things I wanted to act in and where my life was going to be.
01:16And I definitely thought by 30, I was going to be, like,
01:20in a totally different place.
01:22And then I got the show.
01:24And then year after year, I spent nine months of my life playing Spencer.
01:28So my life as Troyan, like, definitely was, like, a lot slower.
01:32You know, and I had, like, three months of the year to, like, be me.
01:35I wish I could go back in time and, like, tell myself, like,
01:40that first year on the show, just be like, look,
01:42this is actually going to be, like, a much crazier, wilder ride than you thought.
01:46So just, like, sit back and enjoy it.
01:48Because I think I was just fretting the whole time.
01:50I was like, okay, so, like, next year should I, like, focus on being unemployed
01:53or, like, be over here or should I do this thing?
01:54So I guess I've learned to be patient.
01:58I've learned that I definitely have no idea where I was going to be at 30.
02:03I certainly probably don't know where I'm going to be at 35.
02:07So I should just, you know, enjoy the ride more.
