00:02You always seem so confident. Are there days when you don't feel confident and how do you bounce back?
00:08Nope. I always feel confident. And I was confident in saying that I feel confident.
00:11I never allow myself to not feel confident. I try to tell girls to apply that every single day.
00:17To wake up and say, I'm going out there. I'm gonna kill it today. I look fucking amazing.
00:23You know, you talk it into existence.
00:25If there was one thing you could change about the beauty industry,
00:28what would you change? And especially, what would you change for women of color?
00:32I don't think there's enough brown-skinned women that are being represented in the beauty industry at all.
00:39You know, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.
00:41Right.
00:41And I feel like this is why a lot of us have complexes and we try to be super skinny
00:48or stay out in the sun.
00:51We're getting there. We're moving towards that.
00:54And I think it's great that we're moving towards that, but we're not quite there yet.
00:57Yeah.
00:57I can't wait until we get there.
00:59How does it feel to be biracial and to have that identity so often called into question?
01:04It's irritating as fuck. It really is because I feel like being multiracial,
01:12a lot of people expect you to pick and choose a side. And I'm uncomfortable with that.
01:17I did an interview and they were like, so do you consider yourself a black woman?
01:21And I was like, no. And the internet cut it off right at that point. I said, whoa, hold on.
01:27You didn't hear the rest of the interview. I don't consider myself just a white woman either.
01:31I wouldn't say as a white woman, I feel like this. I embrace all of my culture.
01:37You know, I love my mom and my dad equally. So I feel like we don't have to pick and
01:42choose a side.
01:43That's what makes racism actually still alive.
01:47That's all.
