00:00The July that Trainwreck came out,
00:02um, two girls named Macy...
00:05Macy Brough and Jillian Johnson were shot and killed
00:07at the movie theater when they went to see my movie.
00:10And, um...
00:12The feeling of, like, putting something out and being excited
00:15and then finding out that these two beautiful, amazing, smart women
00:18who just wanted to have a good time went and got murdered...
00:23was crushing and, um...
00:26Yeah, and I...
00:27I just wanted to do something about it.
00:32I knew nothing about gun violence,
00:35and, uh, I found out that the guy who had shot them
00:38was severely mentally ill and a domestic abuser.
00:43And I was like, oh, well, okay, why could he get a gun?
00:46I didn't... I wasn't educated about it.
00:48I found out that if you are severely mentally ill
00:51or have been convicted of domestic violence,
00:54there are loopholes where it's not that hard to get a firearm.
00:58And, uh, I was like, oh, well, I really wanna help make it more difficult
01:02for people who are severely mentally ill...
01:05or domestic abusers.
01:08Like, I believe in the right to bear arms,
01:10Second Amendment, yes, I'm friends with gun owners.
01:13But what I learned was, no matter what you say,
01:18as soon as you say the word gun, what gun nuts here is just...
01:23Keep watching all our guns!
01:25And then I found out, and you guys probably already know this,
01:29that if you're on the terrorist watch list,
01:31like, not just the no-fly list,
01:34but the straight-up terrorist watch list,
01:36you can easily get a gun.
01:39And, um, so that same guy is like,
01:42get out of our country, foreigner!
01:48But while you're here,
01:51please enjoy our firearms legally.
02:00The time is now for American people to rally for these changes.
02:05These are my first public comments on the issue of gun violence,
02:08but I can promise you they will not be my last.
02:10Because of all companies,
02:10the background media will pass to fight against us.
02:10I'll see you at the same time.
02:11No on the page n
