comparison read on After the Alpha's Cruel Trials. The two men aren't opposites — they're two answers to one question.
Kaden rules by consensus. His power is borrowed from whoever stands nearest, so he can never afford to be the odd one out. That's why he leads and calls it the pack's decision.
Sebastian rules by refusal. No arguing, no campaigning, no need for agreement. Enough standing that one silent arrival is a statement.
The show doesn't say which is better. It shows which survives contact with someone who has nothing left to lose.
And her wolf doesn't wake for the man who shouted. It wakes for the one who waited.
✨ What worked for me:
- Sebastian never badmouths Kaden. Not one line.
- The strongest scene between them has no dialogue at all.
✨ Bottom line: borrowed power collapses the moment the crowd changes its mind.
Which alpha would you trust with a decision?

00:00:04A bird's nest!
00:00:08Kaden, look. I got another A in close combat this week.
00:00:12Coach says my power beats half the boys.
00:00:15Not bad, Veronica.
00:00:16A body like that is what a pack's Luna needs.
00:00:20Pack tradition is clear.
00:00:21To take the Alpha seat, my fated mate must stand beside me as Luna, but Violet is far too weak.
00:00:26She doesn't even have a wolf. She can't carry Luna's weight.
00:00:28Then force her to break the mate bond, Kaden.
00:00:31Once the mate bond is gone, she can't drag you down.
00:00:33No more guilt trips.
00:00:35Break the mate bond?
00:00:37Exactly. After all those trials, she's totally close to breaking.
00:00:41Violet's a weakling. She'll never wake her wolf.
00:00:43Let her break. She'll give up. Then you're free.
00:00:46So that is the truth behind every trial.
00:00:48Kaden, you weren't hoping for me to wake my wolf.
00:00:50You were waiting for me to break.
00:00:52The perfect setup. An excuse to get rid of me.
00:00:55Your burden.
00:00:56You'll get exactly what you want. Soon.
00:01:01Kaden?
00:01:02Violet's weak. She's a headache, sure.
00:01:04But I will never go against the Moon Goddess plans.
00:01:07The Moon Goddess gave her to me.
00:01:08She's mine.
00:01:10What happens between us is nobody else's business.
00:01:12Don't ever mention breaking the mate bond in front of me again.
00:01:19That bitch, Violet?
00:01:23I'm a wolf.
00:01:24My classmates think that's enough reason to tie me to a tree like a mummy.
00:01:28To say it's for my own good, but it'll unlock my potential.
00:01:32The perfect excuse to bully me.
00:01:34I thought the pain was my limit.
00:01:36The shame of being golfed at like a clown.
00:01:39I was wrong.
00:01:40What broke me was the two people standing dead center in that laughter.
00:01:45My stepsister Veronica, who torments me then plays innocent.
00:01:50And Kaden, my childhood sweetheart of 17 years.
00:01:54No.
00:01:59Violet, quit pouting like you're the victim.
00:02:02Everything we do is for your own good.
00:02:05You're already 17, but there's still no sign of a wolf in you.
00:02:10Stay this week, and you won't survive.
00:02:14Exactly, Violet.
00:02:16Kaden is the future alpha of Crimson Moon Pack.
00:02:19He carries this whole pack he deserves better.
00:02:21We can't have a useless, wolf-less loser as our lunata-be.
00:02:25Is being weak a crime?
00:02:26No wolf, so I'm worth nothing?
00:02:31So you get to bully me?
00:02:34I'm your mate, Kaden.
00:02:36Why are you being so cruel to me?
00:02:38Weak means a burden, Violet.
00:02:41Weak means dead weight.
00:02:42You have to get stronger.
00:02:44We are trying to help you.
00:02:47Stop resenting us.
00:02:49Be grateful.
00:02:52Hey, I got something special for you.
00:02:55Something you're scared of more than anything in the world.
00:02:59You think this will finally bring out your wolf?
00:03:05No.
00:03:06No, please.
00:03:07I'm begging you.
00:03:13Look at her!
00:03:14Not a single bit of wolf fur on her!
00:03:17Spinous.
00:03:18Pathetic.
00:03:19How does trash like that become our Luna?
00:03:27Even this isn't enough?
00:03:28Poor Violet.
00:03:30Maybe we need something a little more dramatic?
00:03:33How about we cut off all that pretty hair?
00:03:37It's the thing you treasure most, isn't it?
00:03:40What a pretty shade of gold.
00:03:43Just like your dead mommy.
00:03:46No!
00:03:46Don't, Kaden!
00:03:48Please, don't let her do this!
00:03:51Kaden, please!
00:03:53You know my hair means everything to me!
00:04:01It's just hair, Violet.
00:04:03It grows back.
00:04:04If the shock wakes your wolf, it'll be worth it.
00:04:09Do it, Veronica.
00:04:27No!
00:04:35No!
00:04:40Well, she's let us all down again.
00:04:43Wolfless as ever.
00:04:44Cut her down.
00:04:57Don't look at me like that, Violet.
00:05:00It's all for your own good.
00:05:01For my own good?
00:05:04Look me in the eye, Caden.
00:05:05Caden, this isn't a trial.
00:05:08This is bullying.
00:05:09This is abuse.
00:05:13Violet, don't be so sensitive.
00:05:15We've got to force you to train or you'd never last.
00:05:18You're too weak to earn a place in this pack.
00:05:21Veronica's right.
00:05:22These trials are training.
00:05:24Every one of them is for your own good.
00:05:25Training?
00:05:26Torturing me is your idea of help?
00:05:30Seventeen years, Caden.
00:05:32Seventeen!
00:05:33We grew up together.
00:05:34You're my fated mate.
00:05:36And now you'd rather be their accomplice?
00:05:40Did I go too far?
00:05:45You're the true alpha-to-be of Crimson Moon, Caden.
00:05:47You can't go soft over a wolfless girl.
00:05:51If word gets out, what will the other packs think of you?
00:05:54Of us?
00:05:57Enough, Violet.
00:05:58You're a weakling without a wolf.
00:06:02Weaklings don't get to make noise.
00:06:04Want dignity?
00:06:05Go win it back.
00:06:07Don't stand here snivering.
00:06:09I've lost count of how many times they've done this.
00:06:12They call it building character.
00:06:14The license giving them full reign to bully me.
00:06:20Too slow, Violet.
00:06:21You can't even dodge that.
00:06:22Your reflexes are pathetic.
00:06:25This is about training your instincts.
00:06:34You can't even push that off?
00:06:36Your strength is a joke.
00:06:39Looks like you need more pressure training.
00:06:45I kept waiting.
00:06:47Waiting for Caden to wake up.
00:06:49Waiting for him to remember our 17 years together.
00:06:53Waiting for one look back.
00:06:56Now I finally get it.
00:06:58He saw my pain.
00:07:00He just didn't care.
00:07:06When someone has nothing left to lose,
00:07:08she's finally been set free.
00:07:12Caden.
00:07:14What now?
00:07:16If having no wolf makes me this disgusting to you,
00:07:20I'll go.
00:07:22You're all bluff.
00:07:23Leave Crimson Moon?
00:07:25Leave me?
00:07:26Where would a wolf-less reject like you go?
00:07:29I used to think Caden was a part of me I could never lose.
00:07:33But when it starts to rot,
00:07:35you have to cut it away.
00:07:38It hurts.
00:07:40But at least this time,
00:07:42I hold the knife.
00:07:43Violet, where are you going?
00:07:45Caden!
00:07:46You're the future Alpha.
00:07:49Stop indulging her tantrums.
00:07:51Let her spend the night in the woods.
00:07:53The freezing cold will teach her to behave by morning.
00:08:16Mrs. Imogen, it's me.
00:08:19Violet, sweetheart, what happened?
00:08:22Your invitation to join Nightshade Pack,
00:08:25is that still good?
00:08:27I've decided.
00:08:29I'm breaking my mate bond with Caden.
00:08:32I'm leaving this pack for good.
00:08:43No pain in my body comes close to this.
00:08:46Every wound scabs over.
00:08:48A cut might never heal.
00:08:49If the one who cut you is the one you let into your heart.
00:08:52Someone you loved with everything you had.
00:08:54Caden and I were born on the same day.
00:08:57We opened our eyes just minutes apart.
00:08:59We were inseparable as kids.
00:09:01Every secret, every laugh, we shared it all.
00:09:04When we were five, he fell from a tall tree.
00:09:07I was the one who broke his fall with my own body.
00:09:10I saved his life, but it made me frail,
00:09:12too weak to get my will.
00:09:13Caden cried and swore an oath.
00:09:15He would be my shadow and my knight for life.
00:09:18After my mother died,
00:09:20Caden promised to always protect me.
00:09:22No one would ever hurt me.
00:09:26Then we felt it.
00:09:28The mate bond, right on schedule.
00:09:29I thought he was the moon godness' finest gift to me.
00:09:32But then a year ago,
00:09:33father brought his illegitimate daughter home.
00:09:35My stepsister, Veronica.
00:09:37Caden was drawn to Veronica's strength.
00:09:39Pure wolf instinct.
00:09:41Ever since, he's looked at me,
00:09:42the wolf-less one, differently.
00:09:44Went from disappointment
00:09:45to pure ice.
00:09:49Violet doesn't even have a wolf, Caden.
00:09:51Keep her close and she becomes your weakness.
00:09:54If you really want to help her,
00:09:55put her through the harshest trials possible.
00:10:00Again and again, Caden listened to her poison.
00:10:02He called it a test.
00:10:04Then he said it'd unlock my potential.
00:10:07Used it to ground my dignity under his heel.
00:10:11That's our future Luna?
00:10:13Violet?
00:10:13She doesn't deserve it.
00:10:16Look at her.
00:10:17She doesn't even have a wolf.
00:10:18What a joke.
00:10:23Isn't this going too far?
00:10:25Violet didn't do anything wrong.
00:10:29Violet was humiliated because she's weak.
00:10:31In Crimson Moonpack,
00:10:32weakness is a disgrace.
00:10:33Weaklings don't get sympathy.
00:10:35I should have seen it sooner.
00:10:36To Caden,
00:10:37I'm nothing.
00:10:37A waste of space.
00:10:39Our seventeen years together
00:10:40got me nothing
00:10:41but public humiliation.
00:10:46Violet, sweetheart.
00:10:47Everything's in order.
00:10:48I swore to your mother
00:10:49I would take care of you
00:10:50before she passed.
00:10:51I filed the formal transfer papers
00:10:52in Nightshade Pack's name.
00:10:53We'll come for you tomorrow.
00:10:55Right on time.
00:10:55You think I'm a weakling,
00:10:56Caden Cross?
00:10:57A disgrace?
00:10:58Fine,
00:10:58I'm walking out of your world for good.
00:11:00Soon,
00:11:01you'll never be embarrassed
00:11:02by my weakness again.
00:11:09Violet,
00:11:09pick up.
00:11:10Stop sulking.
00:11:11Fine,
00:11:11yesterday's trial went a little far.
00:11:13I brought your favorite
00:11:13strawberry cake compensation.
00:11:15I'll be downstairs
00:11:16in ten minutes
00:11:16to take you to school.
00:11:18Be a good girl.
00:11:19No more tantrums.
00:11:20Seventeen years of devotion.
00:11:22My dignity,
00:11:23the hair,
00:11:24my connection to my mother,
00:11:25all of it,
00:11:26destroyed.
00:11:27Even now,
00:11:28he thinks it's just a tantrum.
00:11:32Look at you.
00:11:33Ridiculous.
00:11:34Hideous.
00:11:35What the hell did you do
00:11:36to your hair?
00:11:37You're a disgrace
00:11:38to the black name.
00:11:40I didn't do this to my hair.
00:11:42Veronica hacked it off herself.
00:11:44Caden helped, you know?
00:11:45Held me down while she'd cut.
00:11:46They tied me to a tree
00:11:47like a clown for two hours.
00:11:48They're bullying me.
00:11:49Nonsense.
00:11:50Bullying?
00:11:51Caden told me it was training
00:11:52to unlock your potential.
00:11:53It wouldn't be happening
00:11:54if you had a wolf.
00:11:55Father,
00:11:55I can't take any more
00:11:56of these trials.
00:11:57I want to leave the academy, please.
00:11:59Leave the academy?
00:12:01What nonsense is this, Violet?
00:12:06Veronica, good timing.
00:12:07Were you really bullying
00:12:08Violet last night?
00:12:09Oh, God, Violet.
00:12:11How could you lie about me
00:12:12and Caden like that?
00:12:12And to Dad?
00:12:13Exactly, Logan.
00:12:14Don't listen to a word
00:12:15of Violet's nonsense.
00:12:16Veronica and Caden
00:12:17were only trying to wake her wolf.
00:12:19Now Violet's acting ungrateful
00:12:20and calling it bullying.
00:12:23Are you jealous
00:12:24that Father spoils me sometimes, Violet?
00:12:26Is that why you hurt yourself?
00:12:27You even cut your own hair
00:12:28just for attention.
00:12:30If you can't stand me,
00:12:31just say so.
00:12:31Yell at me if you want.
00:12:32You don't have to do this
00:12:33to yourself.
00:12:33Violet Black,
00:12:34you lying, ungrateful girl.
00:12:36Your stepmother and Veronica
00:12:37care so much about you.
00:12:38You're lying about your own sister?
00:12:40I'm lying about her?
00:12:41Look at me, Father.
00:12:42You'd rather believe
00:12:42a bastard's tears
00:12:43than see your own daughter's scars.
00:12:44Shut up!
00:12:45Veronica is the finest,
00:12:46most obedient daughter
00:12:47in this house.
00:12:48Look at yourself.
00:12:49Seventeen and no wolf.
00:12:50Worse of all,
00:12:50it made you a bitter, lying brat.
00:12:52You're nothing compared to her.
00:12:53Obedient?
00:12:54My mother held your hand
00:12:55on her deathbed, Father.
00:12:56She had you swear
00:12:57you'd take care of me.
00:12:57Did you look her in the eyes
00:12:58when you lied?
00:12:59You think you've kept
00:12:59your word to her?
00:13:01How dare you talk back to me,
00:13:02you ungrateful child?
00:13:05Stop!
00:13:08Beta Logan, don't.
00:13:09Last night was a misunderstanding.
00:13:11Violet was spooked
00:13:12by what happened.
00:13:12I'll take her to school
00:13:13and sort it out today.
00:13:15I'm letting this slide
00:13:16because Caden's speaking up for you.
00:13:17Don't embarrass me again.
00:13:19Come with me, Violet.
00:13:20We need to talk.
00:13:21This is my family.
00:13:22This is my mate.
00:13:24Nobody cares about the truth.
00:13:26Nobody protects me.
00:13:27It doesn't matter.
00:13:28Today, I leave this hell forever.
00:13:36Fine.
00:13:37I admit it, Violet.
00:13:38Last night, things went too far.
00:13:40But it was for your own good.
00:13:41You're my future Luna.
00:13:42If you can't handle a little pressure,
00:13:43how will you rule
00:13:43Crimson Moon Pack with me?
00:13:45And what if it didn't work?
00:13:46If they left me crippled for life?
00:13:47What if I died, Caden?
00:13:49Don't be dramatic.
00:13:50That wouldn't kill anyone.
00:13:50It was training.
00:13:51Veronica and I
00:13:52just want to awaken your wolf.
00:13:53If you had a wolf,
00:13:54you'd never have gotten hurt anyways.
00:13:55That's the real problem here.
00:13:57You're weak.
00:13:57You're not Luna material.
00:13:59Weak.
00:13:59No wolf.
00:14:00Every word out of his mouth
00:14:01is about how I'm not enough.
00:14:02He's forgotten why I've always been frail.
00:14:04Too weak to awaken my wolf.
00:14:06I sacrificed my health to save his life.
00:14:08I know.
00:14:09I know you saved me
00:14:10and it wrecked your health.
00:14:11That's exactly why I'm doing
00:14:11whatever it takes to bring out your wolf.
00:14:13Don't you get it?
00:14:15If you were strong and sensible like Veronica,
00:14:17none of this would have happened.
00:14:19So that's all it is.
00:14:20You think I'm weak?
00:14:21You think I'm not fit to be your Luna?
00:14:23All right then.
00:14:23I, Violet Black,
00:14:25reject you, Caden Cross,
00:14:26as my fated mate.
00:14:28Have you lost your mind?
00:14:29Now you're resorting to a rejection, Violet?
00:14:31Without me, you'd never even survive.
00:14:34Enough.
00:14:35You're upset.
00:14:35You're sulking.
00:14:36I get it.
00:14:36Last night was too rough for you.
00:14:38Can't you just take it as a joke?
00:14:39What's the big deal?
00:14:39A joke?
00:14:41My dignity?
00:14:42My hair?
00:14:43The last connection to my mother?
00:14:45It's all just a joke to you?
00:14:46Stop guilt-tripping me.
00:14:48Get in the car.
00:14:49We're going to school.
00:14:50Whatever this is,
00:14:50we settle it there.
00:14:52Oh, Violet.
00:14:53How can you be so childish?
00:14:55Talking back to the future Alpha like that.
00:14:57So disrespectful.
00:14:59Caden,
00:15:00I don't know what's wrong with me today.
00:15:02I'm so dizzy.
00:15:03I feel awful.
00:15:04Can I ride to school in your car?
00:15:06Of course, Veronica.
00:15:08Take the back seat, Violet.
00:15:15Violet,
00:15:15the passenger seat in my car is your throne.
00:15:18Got it?
00:15:18You're the only one who'll ever ride with me.
00:15:20Nobody else.
00:15:22What's going on?
00:15:23Is Violet throwing a fit over last night?
00:15:25How dare she?
00:15:26Caden spoils her way too much.
00:15:28Where's the future Alpha's dignity?
00:15:31I'm not sitting in the back.
00:15:33I'm not sitting in the back.
00:15:39I'm done with your tantrums.
00:15:41Quit sulking.
00:15:42Violet,
00:15:42I don't have time to pamper you.
00:15:43Fix your attitude.
00:15:44Before then,
00:15:45you're not riding in my car.
00:15:46Veronica,
00:15:47get in.
00:15:49There is no more time left for us.
00:15:51Caden.
00:15:54We'll never ride to school together again.
00:15:56Never again.
00:16:01Violet,
00:16:02sweetie,
00:16:02everything's set.
00:16:03The nightshade pack car is already on its way to you.
00:16:05Someone will handle the transfer paperwork with your school directly.
00:16:09Thank you,
00:16:10Miss Imogene.
00:16:10I'm ready.
00:16:15Look at that stupid face.
00:16:18Not a hint of wolf,
00:16:19and she still gets to be Caden's mate.
00:16:21Right?
00:16:22Veronica is the beta's pride and joy.
00:16:24Strong,
00:16:24too.
00:16:25She and Caden are made for each other.
00:16:26That wolf-less girl should get out of our pack already.
00:16:30Hey,
00:16:31look at our Luna-to-be.
00:16:32What are you hiding under that hood?
00:16:33The hell is that on your head?
00:16:34A bird's nest?
00:16:38Caden,
00:16:38look.
00:16:39I got another A in close combat this week.
00:16:41Coach says my power beats half the boys.
00:16:44Not bad,
00:16:45Veronica.
00:16:46A body like that is what a pack's Luna needs.
00:16:49Pack tradition is clear.
00:16:51To take the alpha seat,
00:16:52my fated mate must stand beside me as Luna,
00:16:53but Violet is far too weak.
00:16:55She doesn't even have a wolf.
00:16:56She can't carry Luna's weight.
00:16:57Then force her to break the mate bond,
00:16:59Caden.
00:17:00Once the mate bond is gone,
00:17:01she can't drag you down.
00:17:03No more guilt trips.
00:17:05Break the mate bond?
00:17:06Exactly.
00:17:07After all those trials,
00:17:08she's totally close to breaking.
00:17:10Violet's a weakling.
00:17:11She'll never wake her wolf.
00:17:12Let her break.
00:17:13She'll give up.
00:17:14Then you're free.
00:17:15So that is the truth behind every trial.
00:17:18Caden,
00:17:18you weren't hoping for me to wake my wolf.
00:17:20You were waiting for me to break.
00:17:21The perfect setup.
00:17:23An excuse to get rid of me.
00:17:24Your burden.
00:17:26You'll get exactly what you want.
00:17:27Soon.
00:17:30Caden?
00:17:31Violet's weak.
00:17:32She's a headache, sure.
00:17:34But I will never go against the Moon Goddess plans.
00:17:36The Moon Goddess gave her to me.
00:17:38She's mine.
00:17:39What happens between us is nobody else's business.
00:17:41Don't ever mention breaking the mate bond in front of me again.
00:17:48That bitch, Violet.
00:17:53Violet.
00:17:54Nightshade's transfer papers hit my desk last night.
00:17:56They were marked urgent.
00:17:57The wording was blunt.
00:17:59Withdrawing and transferring is a big deal.
00:18:00Does Beta Logan know?
00:18:01And Caden,
00:18:02your fated mate,
00:18:03the future Alpha,
00:18:04does he know?
00:18:04Look at yourself.
00:18:05Seventeen years old and still no wolf
00:18:07and that nasty, bitter attitude.
00:18:09You're nothing compared to Veronica
00:18:11and you'll never be.
00:18:12Enough, Violet.
00:18:13You're a weakling with no wolf.
00:18:15That's on you.
00:18:16In our world,
00:18:16weaklings don't get to talk back.
00:18:18In this house,
00:18:19in this pack,
00:18:20nobody ever cared whether I lived or died.
00:18:22To them,
00:18:23leaving will just mean their dead weight is finally gone.
00:18:25It doesn't matter.
00:18:26With Nightshade's papers,
00:18:27I don't need their permission.
00:18:28Right?
00:18:31Thank you, Headmaster.
00:18:32And please, keep this quiet.
00:18:37You actually showed up at school, Violet?
00:18:39Last night should have opened your eyes to the truth.
00:18:42I'm Dad's favorite daughter.
00:18:43I'm the one Caden really wants.
00:18:44Everything you once had,
00:18:45it's mine now.
00:18:46When are you getting the hell out of this pack runt?
00:18:48You can take everything I have,
00:18:49but there's one thing you'll never change, Veronica.
00:18:52What?
00:18:53The Moon Goddess gave Caden and me a faded mate bond.
00:18:56One of a kind.
00:18:57And you?
00:18:57Scheme all you want,
00:18:58take him however you can,
00:18:59you'd still be nothing but a lowly chosen mate.
00:19:01The Moon Goddess will never recognize you.
00:19:04You're the backup.
00:19:05Nothing more.
00:19:06Shut your mouth.
00:19:07You don't even have a wolf spirit,
00:19:08you piece of trash.
00:19:10Fine, Violet.
00:19:11You talk tough.
00:19:12Let's both watch what happens.
00:19:13I already made Caden strip your dignity in public for me,
00:19:16even hacked off your hair.
00:19:18Next, I'll have him throw you away himself,
00:19:20out the door, for good.
00:19:24The annual Realm Wide Werewolf Trials begin soon.
00:19:28Crimson Moon Pack will send its very best.
00:19:30Today is the pair riding selection.
00:19:33I was a frail kid,
00:19:34always bad at everything.
00:19:36Then mom taught me to ride,
00:19:37and I finally had something I loved.
00:19:39Every year after,
00:19:39Caden and I rode the pair event together.
00:19:41I've decided to leave,
00:19:43but I came anyway.
00:19:44One last look at those horses.
00:19:46You're still hurt, Violet.
00:19:47Can you even ride today?
00:19:50Caden,
00:19:51Violet just had that trial last night.
00:19:53Look at her, still bruised.
00:19:54She can barely stand.
00:19:55You can't put her on a horse.
00:19:56She'll get hurt,
00:19:57or worse, drag your score down.
00:19:58Gosh, we can't let that happen to the Alpha to be.
00:20:00Ride with me today, Caden.
00:20:01But it's always been Violet and me.
00:20:03Just this once.
00:20:04Violet's so weak right now.
00:20:05You don't want her humiliating herself in public again,
00:20:07do you?
00:20:08Fine.
00:20:09You're hurt, Violet.
00:20:10Sit this one out.
00:20:11Veronica rides with me today.
00:20:12We raised this horse together.
00:20:14It was always you and me.
00:20:15Don't look at me like that.
00:20:17If you weren't so weak,
00:20:18Veronica would never get the chance to replace you.
00:20:20Look, I know this matters to you.
00:20:22Next time we ride together,
00:20:23I promise.
00:20:24Now move.
00:20:30Next time?
00:20:31There is no next time for us, Caden.
00:20:34Not ever.
00:20:38Oh, God.
00:20:39Caden, wait.
00:20:41What is it, Veronica?
00:20:44The clasp on my sports bra just came undone.
00:20:47Can you hook it for me, Caden?
00:20:49I can't quite reach.
00:20:52Holy shit, that's so hot.
00:20:55Damn, look at that body.
00:20:56Then look at Violet.
00:20:58No wolf and no figure.
00:21:00Is this even a competition?
00:21:01Caden is Violet's faded mate.
00:21:04And Veronica has him hooking her bra in front of everyone.
00:21:07That's a slap in Violet's face.
00:21:09Is Caden about to reject her and make Veronica official?
00:21:13Enough.
00:21:15Stop making a scene.
00:21:17I hooked a bra.
00:21:18It was a favor.
00:21:20Nobody get ideas.
00:21:22Veronica and I are friends and teammates.
00:21:25That's all.
00:21:26Just friends and teammates?
00:21:28I'm your fated mate, Caden.
00:21:30You never touched me.
00:21:32My missing wolf disgusted you.
00:21:34But you'll fix her bra.
00:21:36What am I to you?
00:21:38Done.
00:21:41Thank you, Caden.
00:21:42I'll ride my very best out there.
00:21:50Wow, Caden.
00:21:52You ride so well.
00:21:53I feel so safe in your big, strong arms.
00:22:05Remember this, Violet.
00:22:07This saddle.
00:22:08These arms.
00:22:10They're yours alone.
00:22:12Forever.
00:22:13No one else in this world gets to sit here.
00:22:15Only you.
00:22:18Mine alone.
00:22:19I treasured that promise once.
00:22:22Now it just looks like a joke.
00:22:42I hereby declare the winners of today's pair riding, Caden and Veronica.
00:22:58Something feels off.
00:23:00I don't know why.
00:23:01No, I'm overthinking it.
00:23:04Violet's always been jealous.
00:23:05I'll go smoothing it over later.
00:23:12Take the horse back to the stable, Caden.
00:23:14Violet looks so lonely over there.
00:23:16I'll go comfort her.
00:23:19We don't want her getting the wrong idea about us.
00:23:22Go ahead, Veronica.
00:23:24You're always so kind.
00:23:33Hey, sis.
00:23:34Up on that horse just now?
00:23:37Caden was pressed so tight against me.
00:23:40I could feel his abs with my butt.
00:23:45Oh, and not just his abs.
00:23:47Guess what?
00:23:49He got hard.
00:24:01What?
00:24:02You don't believe me?
00:24:03That wasn't the only reaction he had up there.
00:24:05His hands kept sliding up my waist.
00:24:07Know what he whispered?
00:24:08Right into my ear?
00:24:10He said a wolf-less loser like you disgusts him.
00:24:14He said he couldn't wait to tear my collar open and mark me hard.
00:24:17Stop.
00:24:17Shut your mouth!
00:24:24Violet!
00:24:24Why did you push me?
00:24:27I know you're upset from watching me ride with Caden.
00:24:31I told you it wasn't personal.
00:24:33You can't just attack me because you're jealous.
00:24:38Violet Black.
00:24:39What the hell is wrong with you?
00:24:45Look at yourself.
00:24:47Attacking your own sister?
00:24:49You're so jealous it's turning you into a monster.
00:24:52What part of you deserves to be Luna of Crimson Moon?
00:24:57I don't deserve it.
00:24:59And you do, Caden Cross?
00:25:01You call me your fated mate.
00:25:03Then what were you doing with her on that horse?
00:25:05You betrayed me.
00:25:07You cheated.
00:25:08A cold, selfish bastard like you doesn't deserve a fated mate from the Moon Goddess.
00:25:13Shut up!
00:25:18What the hell are you talking about?
00:25:23Don't cry, Violet.
00:25:26They had no right to laugh at you for having no mother.
00:25:30These hands are here to protect you.
00:25:33A few cuts are nothing.
00:25:35He said his hands were there to protect me.
00:25:37Today, he used them to strike my face.
00:25:44Whatever we had, whatever I once felt for him, is gone.
00:25:48You killed it, Caden.
00:25:49We'll never go back.
00:25:53God.
00:25:55What did I do?
00:26:00Dammit!
00:26:01Caden still cares about that useless ruser, no?
00:26:03I'll drive that bitch out of here for good.
00:26:06Forever.
00:26:07It's okay, Violet.
00:26:09Soon.
00:26:10All of this torture ends soon.
00:26:17Violet, sweetheart.
00:26:20We'll be at the Crimson Moon border in two hours to get you.
00:26:25Mrs. Imogene!
00:26:29Darling, I've got the grandest bedroom in the house ready for you.
00:26:33Nothing but the best for my best friend's daughter.
00:26:35A whole new wardrobe and your favorite flowers.
00:26:41Oh, and do you remember my son, Sebastian?
00:26:43You two played together as children.
00:26:46He was thrilled when he heard.
00:26:48He cut his business trip short just to come get you.
00:26:51He might even beat me there.
00:26:52And between us, he's far better looking than that old faded maid of yours.
00:27:01Thank you, Luna Imogen.
00:27:02I can't wait for my new life at Nightshade Pack.
00:27:05Leaving might be the right thing, I'm sure now.
00:27:07I'm not looking back.
00:27:12Leaving?
00:27:14What are you talking about, Violet?
00:27:16Where do you think you're going?
00:27:24What did you just say?
00:27:26Is it true?
00:27:27You're leaving?
00:27:30You heard wrong.
00:27:31I didn't say anything.
00:27:33I knew it.
00:27:34Drop the stupid jokes, Violet.
00:27:36Leave Crimson Moon Pack, leave me, and you'd be helpless.
00:27:38Where would a wolf-less weakling go?
00:27:39What pack would ever take you in?
00:27:43Look, hitting you is wrong of me.
00:27:45But can you stop with the tantrums?
00:27:46Nothing happened between Veronica and me.
00:27:48I picked her at the field for one reason.
00:27:50You got hurt last night.
00:27:51You were too weak to ride.
00:27:52I did that to protect you.
00:27:53Nothing happened?
00:27:54You know, Caden, I don't even care anymore.
00:27:56Training partners, riding partners, even Luna of Crimson Moon.
00:27:59Pick Veronica for all of it.
00:28:01I'm done.
00:28:01Violet, how long are you going to keep this up?
00:28:04You're still sulking about the trials, aren't you?
00:28:05We've been over this.
00:28:06You need to grow.
00:28:07You need your wolf.
00:28:08I'm just trying to make you stronger.
00:28:10Why don't you see I'm doing it all for you?
00:28:12To make me stronger?
00:28:14You stomped all over my dignity in public, Caden Cross.
00:28:16You hacked my hair to pieces.
00:28:18Was that to make me stronger?
00:28:20Or to prove your loyalty to Veronica?
00:28:22What the hell is that supposed to mean?
00:28:24Don't think I can't see your angle?
00:28:25The Alpha has several sons.
00:28:27Your claim isn't safe.
00:28:28And Veronica is Bait Logan's favorite daughter.
00:28:30With her at your side, you think that seat is yours.
00:28:34You keep saying it's for my own good.
00:28:36You did all this to make Veronica happy.
00:28:39You've lost your mind.
00:28:40Don't judge me with your bitter, twisted bullshit.
00:28:42I don't need any woman's help.
00:28:43Am I lying?
00:28:44You know, deep down, what the truth is.
00:28:48Be strong, Violet.
00:28:50Your new life is right ahead.
00:28:57Is Violet still upset about earlier, Caden?
00:29:00Girls are sensitive.
00:29:01She's just jealous over you.
00:29:03Ignore her.
00:29:04Let her sulk.
00:29:05Honestly, there's one sure way to make a girl fall in line.
00:29:08Make her jealous.
00:29:09The sweeter you are to me, the more threatened she feels.
00:29:12Give it a little while, she'll come running back in tears, begging you to forgive her.
00:29:17Jealous?
00:29:18Threatened?
00:29:21See?
00:29:22It's working.
00:29:23Play along, Caden.
00:29:35Oh, my God.
00:29:36Caden really did dump Violet.
00:29:38He should have done it ages ago.
00:29:40That wolf-less loser was totally dragging him down.
00:29:44Exactly.
00:29:45Violet was never good enough for Caden.
00:29:47Veronica is perfect for him.
00:29:5017 years.
00:29:51We grew up side by side.
00:29:54Turns out I never knew him at all.
00:29:56Let's end it here, Caden.
00:30:03You said she'd come apologize and make peace?
00:30:05It's not working at all.
00:30:07Wow, Caden, she's got a bigger temper than I thought.
00:30:11Absolutely no respect.
00:30:12Everyone's right, you know?
00:30:14Why haven't you rejected her yet?
00:30:16Know your place, Veronica.
00:30:18Don't ever let me hear that again.
00:30:22Damn it.
00:30:23Caden's heart still belongs to that vile bitch.
00:30:25Violet, he won't let you go.
00:30:27I'll destroy you myself.
00:30:33Violet Black.
00:30:34Cute act, back at the lockers.
00:30:36Who is it for?
00:30:37You think playing hard to get will make Caden come after you?
00:30:39Please.
00:30:40You saw it.
00:30:40His arms were around me.
00:30:41I'm not interested in someone as cold and selfish as Caden Cross.
00:30:44If you're so obsessed with picking up my leftovers, you can have him.
00:30:48My gift to you.
00:30:49You dare talk to me like that?
00:30:51Who the hell do you think you are, Violet?
00:30:54Violet Black, I'm going to turn Caden against you once and for all.
00:30:59Ah, it hurts!
00:31:01Violet!
00:31:01I know you blame me for stealing your moment at the arena.
00:31:04That doesn't mean you can shove me into a wall!
00:31:06Moon Goddess!
00:31:07I saw it myself.
00:31:08Violet shoved Veronica straight into the wall.
00:31:10That's vicious.
00:31:11She's so jealous she almost killed her own sister.
00:31:13She's not just wolfless trash.
00:31:14She's a poisonous bitch.
00:31:18Violet Black, what did you just do?
00:31:20You're insane!
00:31:21It wasn't me.
00:31:22She threw herself into the wall.
00:31:24Enough!
00:31:25Sulking because you were upset is one thing.
00:31:27I never thought you were cruel.
00:31:29You pushed her.
00:31:30We all saw it.
00:31:31Now you're trying to pin the blame on her.
00:31:32What's wrong with you?
00:31:34I told you it wasn't me.
00:31:36Still no remorse.
00:31:37You've disappointed me.
00:31:38I can't have a mate with a heart this poisonous.
00:31:41Apologize to Veronica and earn her forgiveness.
00:31:43Do it now or I reject you in front of everyone.
00:31:46Moon Goddess.
00:31:48Violet has no wolf.
00:31:49A rejection would kill her.
00:31:51Caden is really angry this time.
00:31:53Violet is nothing without Caden.
00:31:55If she wants to survive here, she'll be on her knees begging any second.
00:31:59Seventeen years we've known each other.
00:32:01All that time.
00:32:03And it never earned me a shred of your trust.
00:32:06You want to reject me?
00:32:08Then have it your way, Caden Cross.
00:32:11What are you saying?
00:32:14I, Violet Black, hereby reject Caden Cross as my fainted mate.
00:32:21Are you insane?
00:32:23You're actually going to break our mate bond?
00:32:24This is what you always wanted.
00:32:26Drop the dead weight.
00:32:26Go be with your precious bitch.
00:32:28Oh, a selfish alpha and a scheming spiteful Luna.
00:32:30You're a perfect match.
00:32:31You'll never change.
00:32:32Fine.
00:32:33I, Caden Cross, accept your rejection.
00:32:39Seventeen years?
00:32:40It's over, Caden.
00:32:42The good memories you gave me.
00:32:44The humiliation.
00:32:45The wounds.
00:32:46All of it, good and bad, ends right now.
00:32:48Starting now, we are nothing to each other.
00:32:51Where are you going, Violet?
00:32:53Stop right there!
00:32:56Go to hell and stay there, you scum.
00:33:09If I'd embarrass myself like that, I'd crawl into a hole.
00:33:12What a joke.
00:33:13That wolf-less loser had the nerve to reject Caden in public?
00:33:16Look at her now.
00:33:17Serves her right.
00:33:18All of you, shut up!
00:33:20It hurts.
00:33:21My head is spinning.
00:33:22Violet pushed me.
00:33:23I think I have a concussion.
00:33:24Take me to a doctor first, Caden.
00:33:25I can't hold on much longer.
00:33:27Exactly.
00:33:27Violet shoved her into a wall.
00:33:29Veronica is hurt badly.
00:33:30She should go to the hospital first.
00:33:31Right.
00:33:32Violet's got to learn her lesson.
00:33:33Forget her.
00:33:34Hey, maybe the pain will even awaken her wolf.
00:33:38Violet!
00:33:39Lift your head.
00:33:41Apologize to Veronica.
00:33:42Admit everything you did today, and I'll carry you to the healer myself.
00:33:45I might even take it all back and restore our mate bond.
00:33:48Me?
00:33:49Apologize to her?
00:33:50Give me a thousand lifetimes, and the answer is still no.
00:33:53Fine!
00:33:54Just perfect.
00:33:55I gave you the chance.
00:33:56This is all on you now.
00:33:57If you won't change, Violet, I will never repair our mate bond.
00:34:00You'll spend your life a rejected, worthless nobody.
00:34:05So this is my last look at you, leaving with another girl in your arms.
00:34:09It doesn't matter now.
00:34:11None of it does.
00:34:13Because I'm leaving you for good, Caden.
00:34:15Don't be so upset, Caden.
00:34:17You spoiled Violet, that's all.
00:34:19She acts out because she thinks you can't live without her.
00:34:23Let her lie at the bottom of those stairs a while.
00:34:25Then she'll learn who really rules this pack.
00:34:27Why is my chest so hollow?
00:34:29Why does it feel like I'm losing Violet forever?
00:34:31No.
00:34:32Something is wrong here.
00:34:33I'll drop Veronica at the infirmary.
00:34:34Then I'm going straight back for her.
00:34:37Violet's locker is empty.
00:34:39Why is it empty?
00:34:43Why is Violet's locker empty?
00:34:45Did she drop out of the academy?
00:34:47Young Master Caden, you didn't know?
00:34:50Violet finished all her transfer paperwork.
00:34:52She hasn't just left the academy.
00:34:53She's left Crimson Moon Pack completely.
00:34:58Transferred out of the pack?
00:35:00That's impossible.
00:35:02No!
00:35:10I used to think I'd die without Caden.
00:35:12Then he became the one who hurt me the most.
00:35:15I thought leaving would be hard.
00:35:17It was just a few steps to the school gate.
00:35:20I did it.
00:35:43Sweet Moon Goddess, that's Nightshade Pack's own motorcade.
00:35:46Richest, strongest pack in the realm.
00:35:47Why would they show up at our little pack's gate?
00:35:49What's big enough to bring them here?
00:35:59Violet!
00:36:06You're safe now, Violet.
00:36:08I'm here.
00:36:09No one touches you again.
00:36:28Have you seen Violet?
00:36:29Where is she?
00:36:30Answer me!
00:36:32No, no way, Violet.
00:36:33She couldn't have.
00:36:35I thought I'd never have a mate of my own.
00:36:38Thank the Moon Goddess for you, Violet.
00:36:43No, no way, Violet's just bluffing.
00:36:45If she left Crimson Moon, she'd have nowhere to go.
00:36:47Out there, a wolfless girl die in a ditch.
00:36:49She didn't really leave me.
00:36:50Young Master Caden!
00:36:51Violet?
00:36:52I think she went to the school gate.
00:36:58Caden Cross, we had something real once, but so was the disgust you've shown me now.
00:37:06Our 17 years together end here.
00:37:09I'm not a weakling dragging you down anymore.
00:37:11You won't have to wait for me to break under your cruel, endless trials.
00:37:16You're rid of me.
00:37:17I've let you go.
00:37:19This is goodbye.
00:37:21Forever.
00:37:29That was Violet?
00:37:38You're a wolf.
00:37:41My classmates think that's enough reason to tie me to a tree like a mummy.
00:37:45They say it's for my own good, but it'll unlock my potential.
00:37:49The perfect excuse to bully me.
00:37:51I thought the pain was my limit.
00:37:53The shame of being golfed at like a clown.
00:37:56I was wrong.
00:37:57What broke me was the two people standing dead center in that laughter.
00:38:02My stepsister Veronica, who torments me then plays innocent.
00:38:07And Caden, my childhood sweetheart of 17 years.
00:38:11No.
00:38:17Violet, quit pouting like you're the victim.
00:38:19Everything we do is for your own good.
00:38:22You're already 17, but there's still no sign of a wolf in you.
00:38:27Stay this week, and you won't survive.
00:38:32Exactly, Violet.
00:38:33Caden is the future alpha of Crimson Moon Pack.
00:38:36He carries this whole pack he deserves better.
00:38:38We can't have a useless, wolf-less loser as our lunatic-be.
00:38:42Is being weak a crime?
00:38:43No wolf, so I'm worth nothing?
00:38:48So you get to bully me?
00:38:51I'm your mate, Caden.
00:38:53Why are you being so cruel to me?
00:38:56Weak means a burden, Violet.
00:38:58Weak means dead weight.
00:38:59You have to get stronger.
00:39:01We are trying to help you.
00:39:04Stop resenting us.
00:39:06Be grateful.
00:39:09Hey, I got something special for you.
00:39:13Something you're scared of more than anything in the world.
00:39:16You think this will finally bring out your wolf?
00:39:22No, no, please.
00:39:24I'm begging you.
00:39:30Look at her!
00:39:31Not a single bit of wolf fur on her!
00:39:34Spine-less, pathetic.
00:39:36How does trash like that become our Luna?
00:39:39No!
00:39:40No!
00:39:41No!
00:39:42No!
00:39:42No!
00:39:42No!
00:39:44No!
00:39:46No!
00:39:47No!
00:39:47Maybe we need something a little more dramatic.
00:39:51How about we cut off all that pretty hair?
00:39:54It's the thing you treasure most, isn't it?
00:39:57What a pretty shade of gold.
00:40:00Just like your dead mommy.
00:40:03No!
00:40:03Don't, Caden!
00:40:06Please, don't let her do this!
00:40:08Caden, please!
00:40:11You know my hair means everything to me!
00:40:19It's just hair, Violet.
00:40:20It grows back.
00:40:21If the shock wakes your wolf, it'll be worth it.
00:40:26Do it, Veronica.
00:40:28Yes!
00:40:28I can't!
00:40:29I can't.
00:40:30Oh!
00:40:50No!
00:40:52No!
00:40:53No!
00:40:56No!
00:40:57No!
00:40:58She's let us all down again.
00:41:00Wolfless as ever.
00:41:01Cut her down.
00:41:14Don't look at me like that, Violet.
00:41:17It's all for your own good.
00:41:18For my own good?
00:41:21Look me in the eye, Caden.
00:41:23This isn't a trial.
00:41:25This is bullying.
00:41:26This is abuse.
00:41:31Violet, don't be so sensitive.
00:41:33We've got to force you to train or you'd never last.
00:41:35You're too weak to earn a place in this pack.
00:41:38Veronica's right.
00:41:39These trials are training.
00:41:41Every one of them is for your own good.
00:41:42Training?
00:41:44Torturing me is your idea of help?
00:41:47Seventeen years, Caden.
00:41:49Seventeen!
00:41:50We grew up together.
00:41:52You're my fated mate.
00:41:54And now you'd rather be their accomplice?
00:41:57Did I go too far?
00:42:02You're the true alpha-to-be of Crimson Moon, Caden.
00:42:05You can't go soft over a wolf-less girl.
00:42:08If word gets out, what will the other packs think of you?
00:42:11Of us?
00:42:14Enough, Violet.
00:42:15You're a weakling without a wolf.
00:42:19Weaklings don't get to make noise.
00:42:21Want dignity?
00:42:23Go win it back.
00:42:24Don't stand here snivering.
00:42:26I've lost count of how many times they've done this.
00:42:29They call it building character.
00:42:31The license giving them full reign to bully me.
00:42:37Too slow, Violet.
00:42:38You can't even dodge that.
00:42:40Your reflexes are pathetic.
00:42:42This is about training your instincts.
00:42:51You can't even push that off.
00:42:54Your strength is a joke.
00:42:56Looks like you need more pressure training.
00:43:02I kept waiting.
00:43:04Waiting for Caden to wake up.
00:43:06Waiting for him to remember our 17 years together.
00:43:10Waiting for one look back.
00:43:13Now I finally get it.
00:43:15He saw my pain.
00:43:17He just didn't care.
00:43:23When someone has nothing left to lose,
00:43:26she's finally been set free.
00:43:29Caden.
00:43:31What now?
00:43:33If having no wolf makes me this disgusting to you,
00:43:37I'll go.
00:43:39You're all bluff.
00:43:41Leave Crimson Moon?
00:43:42Leave me?
00:43:43Where would a wolfless reject like you go?
00:43:46I used to think Caden was a part of me I could never lose.
00:43:50But when it starts to rot,
00:43:52you have to cut it away.
00:43:55It hurts.
00:43:57But at least this time,
00:43:58I hold the knife.
00:44:00Violet, where are you going?
00:44:02Caden!
00:44:03You're the future Alpha.
00:44:06Stop indulging her tantrums.
00:44:08Let her spend the night in the woods.
00:44:10The freezing cold will teach her to behave by morning.
00:44:34Mrs. Imogen, it's me.
00:44:36Violet, sweetheart, what happened?
00:44:39Your invitation to join Nightshade Pack?
00:44:42Is that still good?
00:44:44I've decided.
00:44:46I'm breaking my mate bond with Caden.
00:44:50I'm leaving this pack for good.
00:45:01No pain in my body comes close to this.
00:45:03Every wound scabs over.
00:45:05A cut might never heal.
00:45:06If the one who cut you is the one you let into your heart.
00:45:09Someone you loved with everything you had.
00:45:11Caden and I were born on the same day.
00:45:14We opened our eyes just minutes apart.
00:45:16We were inseparable as kids.
00:45:19Every secret, every laugh, we shared it all.
00:45:21When we were five, he fell from a tall tree.
00:45:24I was the one who broke his fall with my own body.
00:45:26I saved his life, but it made me frail, too weak to get my will.
00:45:30Caden cried and swore on earth.
00:45:32He would be my shadow and my knife for life.
00:45:35After my mother died, Caden promised to always protect me.
00:45:39No one would ever hurt me.
00:45:43Then we felt it.
00:45:45The mate bond, right on schedule.
00:45:46I thought he was the moon godness's finest gift to me.
00:45:49But then a year ago, father brought his illegitimate daughter home.
00:45:52My stepsister, Veronica.
00:45:54Caden was drawn to Veronica's strength.
00:45:56Pure wolf instinct.
00:45:58Ever since, he's looked at me, the wolfless one, differently.
00:46:01Went from disappointment to pure ice.
00:46:06Violet doesn't even have a wolf, Caden.
00:46:09Keep her close and she becomes your weakness.
00:46:11If you really want to help her, put her through the harshest trials possible.
00:46:17Again and again, Caden listened to her poison.
00:46:20He called it a test.
00:46:21Then he said it'd unlock my potential.
00:46:24Used it to ground my dignity under his heel.
00:46:28That's our future Luna?
00:46:30Violet?
00:46:30She doesn't deserve it.
00:46:33Look at her.
00:46:34She doesn't even have a wolf.
00:46:35What a joke.
00:46:40Isn't this going too far?
00:46:42Violet didn't do anything wrong.
00:46:46Violet was humiliated because she's weak.
00:46:48In Crimson Moonpack, weakness is a disgrace.
00:46:50Weaklings don't get sympathy.
00:46:52I should have seen it sooner.
00:46:53To Caden, I'm nothing.
00:46:55A waste of space.
00:46:56Our 17 years together got me nothing but public humiliation.
00:47:03Violet, sweetheart.
00:47:04Everything's in order.
00:47:05I swore to your mother I would take care of you before she passed.
00:47:08I filed the formal transfer papers in Nightshade Pack's name.
00:47:10We'll come for you tomorrow.
00:47:12Right on time.
00:47:12You think I'm a weakling, Caden Cross?
00:47:14A disgrace?
00:47:15Fine, I'm walking out of your world for good.
00:47:17Soon, you'll never be embarrassed by my weakness again.
00:47:26Violet, pick up.
00:47:27Stop sulking.
00:47:28Fine, yesterday's trial went a little far.
00:47:30I brought your favorite strawberry cake compensation.
00:47:32I'll be downstairs in 10 minutes to take you to school.
00:47:35Be a good girl.
00:47:36No more tantrums.
00:47:3717 years of devotion.
00:47:39My dignity.
00:47:40The hair.
00:47:41My connection to my mother.
00:47:42All of it.
00:47:43Destroyed.
00:47:44Even now, he thinks it's just a tantrum.
00:47:49Look at you.
00:47:51Ridiculous.
00:47:52Hideous.
00:47:52What the hell did you do to your hair?
00:47:54You're a disgrace to the black name.
00:47:57I didn't do this to my hair.
00:47:59Veronica hacked it off herself.
00:48:01Caden helped, you know?
00:48:02Held me down while she cut.
00:48:03They tied me to a tree like a clown for two hours.
00:48:05They're bullying me.
00:48:07Nonsense.
00:48:07Bullying?
00:48:08Caden told me it was training to unlock your potential.
00:48:10It wouldn't be happening if you had a wolf.
00:48:12Father, I can't take any more of these trials.
00:48:14I want to leave the academy, please.
00:48:16Leave the academy?
00:48:18What nonsense is this, Violet?
00:48:23Veronica, good timing.
00:48:24Were you really bullying Violet last night?
00:48:27Oh, God, Violet.
00:48:28How could you lie about me and Caden like that?
00:48:29And to Dad?
00:48:30Exactly, Logan.
00:48:31Don't listen to a word of Violet's nonsense.
00:48:33Veronica and Caden were only trying to wake her wolf.
00:48:36Now Violet's acting ungrateful and calling it bullying.
00:48:40Are you jealous that Father spoils me sometimes, Violet?
00:48:43Is that why you hurt yourself?
00:48:44You even cut your own hair just for attention.
00:48:47If you can't stand me, just say so.
00:48:48Yell at me if you want.
00:48:49You don't have to do this to yourself.
00:48:50Violet Black, you lying, ungrateful girl.
00:48:53Your stepmother and Veronica care so much about you.
00:48:55You're lying about your own sister?
00:48:57I'm lying about her?
00:48:58Look at me, Father.
00:48:59You'd rather believe a bastard's tears than see your own daughter's scars.
00:49:01Shut up!
00:49:02Veronica is the finest, most obedient daughter in this house.
00:49:05Look at yourself.
00:49:06Seventeen and no wolf.
00:49:07Worst of all, it made you a bitter, lying brat.
00:49:09You're nothing compared to her.
00:49:10Obedient?
00:49:12My mother held your hand on her deathbed, Father.
00:49:13She had you swear you'd take care of me.
00:49:14Did you look her in the eyes when you lied?
00:49:16You think you've kept your word to her?
00:49:18How dare you talk back to me, you ungrateful child?
00:49:22Stop!
00:49:25Beta Logan, don't.
00:49:26Last night was a misunderstanding.
00:49:28Violet was spooked by what happened.
00:49:30I'll take her to school and sort it out today.
00:49:32I'm letting this slide because Caden's speaking up for you.
00:49:34Don't embarrass me again.
00:49:36Come with me, Violet.
00:49:37We need to talk.
00:49:38This is my family.
00:49:39This is my mate.
00:49:41Nobody cares about the truth.
00:49:43Nobody protects me.
00:49:44It doesn't matter.
00:49:45Today I leave this hell forever.
00:49:53Fine.
00:49:54I admit it, Violet.
00:49:55Last night, things went too far.
00:49:57But it was for your own good.
00:49:58You're my future Luna.
00:49:59If you can't handle a little pressure, how will you rule Crimson Moon Pack with me?
00:50:02And what if it didn't work?
00:50:03If they left me crippled for life?
00:50:04What if I died, Caden?
00:50:06Don't be dramatic.
00:50:07That wouldn't kill anyone.
00:50:08It was training.
00:50:08Veronica and I just want to awaken your wolf.
00:50:11If you had a wolf, you'd never have gotten hurt anyways.
00:50:13That's the real problem here.
00:50:14You're weak.
00:50:14You're not Luna material.
00:50:16Weak.
00:50:16No wolf.
00:50:17Every word out of his mouth is about how I'm not enough.
00:50:19He's forgotten why I've always been frail.
00:50:21Too weak to awaken my wolf.
00:50:23I sacrificed my health to save his life.
00:50:25I know.
00:50:26I know you saved me and it wrecked your health.
00:50:28That's exactly why I'm doing whatever it takes to bring out your wolf.
00:50:30Don't you get it?
00:50:32If you were strong and sensible like Veronica, none of this would have happened.
00:50:36So that's all it is.
00:50:37You think I'm weak.
00:50:38You think I'm not fit to be your Luna.
00:50:40All right then.
00:50:41I, Violet Black, reject you, Caden Cross, as my fated mate.
00:50:45Have you lost your mind?
00:50:46Now you're resorting to a rejection, Violet?
00:50:49Without me, you'd never even survive.
00:50:51Enough.
00:50:51You're upset, you're sulking.
00:50:53I get it.
00:50:53Last night was too rough for you.
00:50:55Can't you just take it as a joke?
00:50:56What's the big deal?
00:50:57A joke?
00:50:58My dignity?
00:50:59My hair?
00:51:00The last connection to my mother?
00:51:02It's all just a joke to you?
00:51:03Stop guilt-tripping me.
00:51:05Get in the car.
00:51:06We're going to school.
00:51:07Whatever this is, we settle it there.
00:51:09Oh, Violet, how can you be so childish?
00:51:12Talking back to the future Alpha like that.
00:51:14So disrespectful.
00:51:17Caden, I don't know what's wrong with me today.
00:51:19I'm so dizzy.
00:51:20I feel awful.
00:51:21Can I ride to school in your car?
00:51:23Of course, Veronica.
00:51:25Take the back seat, Violet.
00:51:32Violet, the passenger seat in my car is your throne.
00:51:35Got it?
00:51:35You're the only one who'll ever ride with me.
00:51:37Nobody else.
00:51:39What's going on?
00:51:40Is Violet throwing a fit over last night?
00:51:42How dare she?
00:51:43Caden spoils her way too much.
00:51:45Where's the future Alpha's dignity?
00:51:48I'm not sitting in the back.
00:51:56I'm done with your tantrums.
00:51:58Quit sulking.
00:51:59Violet, I don't have time to pamper you.
00:52:01Fix your attitude.
00:52:02Before then, you're not riding in my car.
00:52:03Veronica, get in.
00:52:06There is no more time left for us.
00:52:08Caden.
00:52:11We'll never ride to school together again.
00:52:13Never again.
00:52:18Violet, sweetie, everything's set.
00:52:20The nightshade pack car is already on its way to you.
00:52:22Someone will handle the transfer paperwork with your school directly.
00:52:26Thank you, Miss Imogene.
00:52:28I'm ready.
00:52:32Look at that stupid face.
00:52:35Not a hint of wolf, and she still gets to be Caden's mate.
00:52:38Right?
00:52:39Veronica is the beta's pride and joy.
00:52:41Strong, too.
00:52:42She and Caden are made for each other.
00:52:43That wolf-less girl should get out of our pack already.
00:52:47Hey, look at our lunata-be.
00:52:49What are you hiding under that hood?
00:52:50The hell is that on your head?
00:52:51A bird's nest?
00:52:55Caden, look.
00:52:56I got another A in close combat this week.
00:52:58Coach says my power beats half the boys.
00:53:01Not bad, Veronica.
00:53:03A body like that is what a pack's Luna needs.
00:53:06Pack tradition is clear.
00:53:08To take the alpha seat, my fated mate must stand beside me as Luna,
00:53:10but Violet is far too weak.
00:53:12She doesn't even have a wolf.
00:53:13She can't carry Luna's weight.
00:53:15Then force her to break the mate bond, Caden.
00:53:17Once the mate bond is gone, she can't drag you down.
00:53:20No more guilt trips.
00:53:22Break the mate bond?
00:53:23Exactly.
00:53:24After all those trials, she's totally close to breaking.
00:53:27Violet's a weakling.
00:53:28She'll never wake her wolf.
00:53:29Let her break.
00:53:30She'll give up.
00:53:31Then you're free.
00:53:32So that is the truth behind every trial.
00:53:35Caden, you weren't hoping for me to wake my wolf.
00:53:37You were waiting for me to break.
00:53:39The perfect setup.
00:53:40An excuse to get rid of me.
00:53:41Your burden.
00:53:43You'll get exactly what you want.
00:53:45Soon.
00:53:48Caden?
00:53:48Violet's weak.
00:53:49She's a headache, sure.
00:53:51But I will never go against the Moon Goddess plans.
00:53:53The Moon Goddess gave her to me.
00:53:55She's mine.
00:53:56What happens between us is nobody else's business.
00:53:59Don't ever mention breaking the mate bond in front of me again.
00:54:05That bitch, Violet.
00:54:10Violet.
00:54:11Nightshade's transfer papers hit my desk last night.
00:54:14They were marked urgent.
00:54:15The wording was blunt.
00:54:16Withdrawing and transferring is a big deal.
00:54:18Does Beta Logan know?
00:54:19And Caden, your fated mate, the future Alpha, does he know?
00:54:21Look at yourself.
00:54:23Seventeen years old and still no wolf and that nasty, bitter attitude.
00:54:26You're nothing compared to Veronica and you'll never be.
00:54:29Enough, Violet.
00:54:30You're a weakling with no wolf.
00:54:32That's on you.
00:54:33In our world, weaklings don't get to talk back.
00:54:35In this house, in this pack, nobody ever cared whether I lived or died.
00:54:39To them, leaving will just mean their dead weight is finally gone.
00:54:42It doesn't matter.
00:54:43With Nightshade's papers, I don't need their permission.
00:54:46Right?
00:54:48Thank you, Headmaster.
00:54:49And please, keep this quiet.
00:54:54You actually showed up at school, Violet?
00:54:56Last night should have opened your eyes to the truth.
00:54:58I'm Dad's favorite daughter.
00:55:00I'm the one Caden really wants.
00:55:01Everything you once had, it's mine now.
00:55:03When are you getting the hell out of this pack runt?
00:55:05You can take everything I have.
00:55:07But there's one thing you'll never change, Veronica.
00:55:09What?
00:55:10The Moon Goddess gave Caden and me a fated mate bond.
00:55:13One of a kind.
00:55:14And you?
00:55:14Scheme all you want.
00:55:15Take him however you can.
00:55:16You'd still be nothing but a lowly chosen mate.
00:55:18The Moon Goddess will never recognize you.
00:55:21You're the backup.
00:55:22Nothing more.
00:55:23Shut your mouth.
00:55:24You don't even have a wolf spirit, you piece of trash.
00:55:27Fine, Violet.
00:55:28You talk tough.
00:55:29Let's both watch what happens.
00:55:30I already made Caden strip your dignity in public for me.
00:55:34Even hacked off your hair.
00:55:35Next I'll have him throw you away himself, out the door, for good.
00:55:41The annual realm-wide werewolf trials begin soon.
00:55:45Crimson Moon Pack will send its very best.
00:55:47Today is the pair riding selection.
00:55:50I was a frail kid, always bad at everything.
00:55:53Then mom taught me to ride and I finally had something I loved.
00:55:56Every year after, Caden and I rode the pair event together.
00:55:58I've decided to leave, but I came anyway.
00:56:01One last look at those horses.
00:56:03You're still hurt, Violet.
00:56:04Can you even ride today?
00:56:08Caden, Violet just had that trial last night.
00:56:10Look at her, still bruised.
00:56:11She can barely stand.
00:56:12You can't put her on a horse.
00:56:13She'll get hurt or worse, drag your score down.
00:56:15Gosh, we can't let that happen to the Alpha to B.
00:56:17Ride with me today, Caden.
00:56:18But it's always been Violet and me.
00:56:20Just this once.
00:56:21Violet's so weak right now.
00:56:23You don't want her humiliating herself in public again, do you?
00:56:25Fine.
00:56:26You're hurt, Violet.
00:56:27Sit this one out.
00:56:28Veronica rides with me today.
00:56:29We raised this horse together.
00:56:31It was always you and me.
00:56:32Don't look at me like that.
00:56:34If you weren't so weak, Veronica would never get the chance to replace you.
00:56:37Look, I know this matters to you.
00:56:39Next time we ride together, I promise.
00:56:41Now move.
00:56:47Next time?
00:56:48There is no next time for us, Caden.
00:56:51Not ever.
00:56:55Oh, God.
00:56:56Caden, wait.
00:56:58What is it, Veronica?
00:57:01The clasp on my sports bra just came undone.
00:57:04Can you hook it for me, Caden?
00:57:06I can't quite reach.
00:57:09Holy shit.
00:57:10That's so hot.
00:57:12Damn, look at that body.
00:57:14And look at Violet.
00:57:15No wolf and no figure.
00:57:17Is this even a competition?
00:57:18Caden is Violet's fated mate.
00:57:21And Veronica has him hooking her bra in front of everyone.
00:57:25That's a slap in Violet's face.
00:57:27Is Caden about to reject her and make Veronica official?
00:57:30Enough.
00:57:32Stop making a scene.
00:57:34I hooked a bra.
00:57:35It was a favor.
00:57:37Nobody get ideas.
00:57:39Veronica and I are friends and teammates.
00:57:42That's all.
00:57:44Just friends and teammates?
00:57:45I'm your fated mate, Caden.
00:57:47You never touched me.
00:57:49My missing wolf disgusted you.
00:57:51But you'll fix her bra.
00:57:53What am I to you?
00:57:55Done.
00:57:58Thank you, Caden.
00:57:59I'll ride my very best out there.
00:58:08Wow, Caden.
00:58:09You ride so well.
00:58:10I feel so safe in your big, strong arms.
00:58:22Remember this, Violet.
00:58:24This saddle.
00:58:25These arms.
00:58:27They're yours alone.
00:58:29Forever.
00:58:30No one else in this world gets to sit here.
00:58:32Only you.
00:58:35Mine alone.
00:58:36I treasured that promise once.
00:58:39Now it just looks like a joke.
00:59:00I hereby declare the winners of today's pair riding.
00:59:04Caden and Veronica.
00:59:15Something feels off.
00:59:17I don't know why.
00:59:19No.
00:59:19I'm overthinking it.
00:59:21Violet's always been jealous.
00:59:22I'll go smoothing it over later.
00:59:29Take the horse back to the stable, Caden.
00:59:31Violet looks so lonely over there.
00:59:34I'll go comfort her.
00:59:36We don't want her getting the wrong idea about us.
00:59:39Go ahead, Veronica.
00:59:41You're always so kind.
00:59:50Hey, sis.
00:59:52Up on that horse just now?
00:59:54Caden was pressed so tight against me.
00:59:57I could feel his abs with my butt.
01:00:02Oh, and not just his abs.
01:00:05Guess what?
01:00:05He got hard.
