00:00Lou survived and Netflix still hasn't given us the sequel we're all waiting for.
00:04Here's everything we know about Lou 2.
00:07Netflix's 2022 action thriller Lou gave us Alice and Janney like we had never seen her before.
00:13Fierce, dangerous, and completely unstoppable.
00:16But the ending left fans with one huge question, will there be a Lou 2?
00:20Let's get straight to the biggest update.
00:22Netflix has not officially announced or greenlit a sequel titled Lou 2.
00:27There is no confirmed production date, release window, or renewal news from the streaming platform.
00:32But here's why fans still believe a sequel is possible.
00:36At the end of Lou, Hannah, played by Journey Smollett,
00:39and her daughter V escape Philip and begin a new life in Seattle with Lou's dog, Jax.
00:44Hannah believes Lou is dead after her final confrontation with Philip.
00:48However, the final moments reveal that Lou somehow survived.
00:52She is secretly watching over Hannah and V from a distance,
00:55which leaves the story wide open for a continuation.
00:58That ending is exactly why viewers have been asking for Lou 2 ever since.
01:02If Netflix moves forward, the sequel could show Lou being forced out of
01:06hiding when Hannah and V face a new threat.
01:09Lou may prefer staying in the shadows, but we all know she would return in a heartbeat if her family
01:13needed her.
01:14There is also encouraging news from the cast.
01:17Journey Smollett, who played Hannah and also served as an executive producer,
01:21has expressed openness to returning.
01:23She said that Lou is a fascinating story and that a sequel would depend on the right creative
01:28pieces coming together.
01:29So the desire is there, the ending supports it, and the lead actress seems interested.
01:35But Netflix's decision will likely depend on viewership performance, audience demand,
01:39and whether the filmmakers believe there is genuinely more story to tell.
01:43For now, Lou remains available to stream on Netflix, so if you have not watched it yet,
01:48this is the perfect time to see Alice and Janney's unforgettable action role for yourself.
01:53And honestly, if you loved the first movie, you are not alone.
01:57Fans continue to hope that Netflix will surprise us with an official Lou 2 announcement soon.
02:02Until then, all we can do is keep watching, keep talking about it, and keep the sequel demand alive.
