00:01Police are still guarding this crime scene here at Shooter Street in Moonee Ponds which is about
00:07seven kilometres northwest of Melbourne CBD after the premises behind me here was firebombed just
00:15after two o'clock this morning and police say that it's believed that these offenders smashed
00:20the front window of this Moonee Vale medical clinic behind me before pouring accelerant in
00:28and then setting it alight now interestingly this was just a couple of weeks since the premises
00:35right next door the rejuvenate skin and nail clinic was also targeted in an arson attack and
00:42detectives are going to investigate whether or not these two fire bombings are linked in any way
00:49in the meantime we're still awaiting those arson chemists to come down here and examine the scene
00:56and detectives are continuing their investigations here they've asked for anybody with any information
01:02to get in touch with them this all happened overnight just about half an hour after another
01:08fire bombing but this time in Melbourne's southeastern suburbs on that occasion we saw two cars being
01:16completely destroyed and that was in Brighton in Manor Street now police say that offenders rammed the
01:25front gate of the front gate of a home there before pouring accelerator down the driveway and setting
01:31those two vehicles alight and it's understood that the occupants were at the home at the time those cars
01:40have been completely destroyed and they also want anyone with information to get in touch with them but
01:46this is yet another series of fire bombings that are once again plaguing Melbourne
