00:02Welcome to you on this most pleasantly clear evening, conditions absolutely beautiful, perfect for the beautiful game, temperatures are kind
00:11as well, no doubt playing a hand in high attendance levels as well as an elevated level of anticipation here,
00:18surely this is the hot ticket going around in this deck of the woods, it surely must be.
00:27One glance and you know where we are, it is one of the most recognisable arenas for the beautiful game
00:33in the world, and boy does it add to the occasion, already we're underway here, tries the shots, Palmer have
00:52this frantic spell of game,
00:54fixture congestion always brings with it, issues around fatigue and injury, yeah and the manager has got to look towards
01:01squad rotation now, a bigger part of his job is to keep a freshness and energy about the team.
01:07We sit forward, that's a decent ball, it's Chobis, it's there!
01:20Well you know, thinking about that, I think they've perfected that on the training ground, because it took them seconds
01:25to get the ball from back to front, and they really commit forward in numbers too, it was all very
01:30well drilled.
02:02Milan have an early lead, good start, and it's played forward.
02:18Milan are still boasting a perfect record with a quarter of the season gone, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the run,
02:25and for me, JARVIS!
02:28That's a half decent try, and more than decent attempt Peter.
02:48Now Serby gets it back.
02:54He's still going, and they're two next.
03:03but by that far good effort very good effort he would have at least wanted to
03:08make the keeper work though
03:13milan have a very fine defensive record over recent games whose ball who's going to get that
03:24Jarvis he's left his man chance can he get the shot away that's one way of trying to make things
03:33happen there's a few who could follow that example Seifert Rice drives it forward
03:54first quarter of an hour gone there he's through and all alone
03:59trout calling chance oh great save real class oh that's a sparkling save absolutely sparkling
04:09his reflexes work oh in for a header oh the keeper's done ever so well well as Tesco Peter
04:16the keeper has just received an A plus grade
04:21looks to bypass the midfield forward it goes
04:30in luck good run where to from here it's in luck
04:35he's not concerned by that look it was achievable Peter but it needed his best
04:50Damian
04:57drives it towards the front
05:03as Serbi plays it forward
05:09Rice
05:15Javis
05:17Javis
05:18Seifert
05:19looks to think one in
05:22Javis
05:22massive leap
05:25their attempts
05:26just the wrong outcome
05:27that's a little unfortunate
05:29he had a lot of people worried then
05:37and here's Javinho
05:42as Serbi tries to get it forward quickly
05:45done very well to intervene
05:48away from immediate danger
05:51Damian drives it forward
05:57Javis
05:58hoist it forward
05:59Javis
06:05Javis
06:12Javis
06:15Javis
06:22Javis
06:37Milan are really pouncing on any straight passes in midfield, we're talking seconds from interception to the back of the
06:43net, it's counter attack in heaven.
07:06Milan get themselves a two-goal cushion, the turning of the screw comes to mind, Peter, they've got them where
07:12they want them.
07:19Javis, in La, he's got a shooting chance, he's gone away with one there, a chance that's created through very
07:33good grafting, did well to get in the face of his opponent.
07:39And it's Shevino, it's come loose, battles to win it back.
08:00Guerrero, the referee's awarded a free kick.
08:15And it's played forward, Damian, sticks in a foot to win it back.
08:24Forward tracking back like that, always appreciated by the crowd.
08:28I think it's great to see that kind of application and desire from a forward who wants to help out
08:33his defence.
08:33I think, you know, any good team really, your striker should be the first line of that defence and he's
08:38delivering.
08:41That's Shevino.
08:43Rice goes looking.
08:48Gets wrestled off the ball.
08:51Fingers on the back foot.
08:53He's pinged one through here.
08:55Jarvis.
08:56He's got away.
08:58And the shots!
08:59They are rapid!
09:04And surely that settles it!
09:11Yeah, looking back at that, that's how you play on the counter.
09:14Freak and decisive and ruthless with the finish.
09:16I thought it was a stunning, stunning regular.
09:44Milan take a three goal lead and they are romping out of sight.
09:48Well, unsurprisingly, Peter, the opposition look completely stunned.
09:53I'm not sure they can gather themselves.
09:56Jarvis.
09:57He gets past his man.
09:59He's won him as a puck!
10:02It goes to show he is human after all.
10:06Still a cracking effort.
10:08Really looked like a man on a mission the way he went through on goal.
10:14He's making good use of his strength there.
10:16Just refuses to be out-muscled.
10:27And it's Chavinho.
10:29Well, that looks a foul.
10:30Yep, referee's given it.
10:42That's gone a long way off of the way.
10:45That's been one straight back.
10:58Guerrero.
11:02Rice.
11:08Oh, here we go.
11:11He's scored.
11:13And already they're looking to run away with it.
11:20Well, you know, thinking about that, I think they've perfected that on the training ground because it took them seconds
11:25to get the ball from back to front.
11:27They really commit forward in numbers too.
11:30It was all very well built.
11:33He's made it three.
11:35Quite today at the office for him.
11:37This is one of the best performances I've seen in a while.
11:39Well, he's practically taken on this team single-handedly and they don't know how to stop him.
11:58It's become a kick.
12:00And it's the whistle for half-time.
12:02Well, that flew by.
12:04It was breathless stuff.
12:05It's been one-way traffic here after the first 45 minutes.
12:09A relentless barrage that looks set to continue.
12:14Yeah, I think the first half performance that showed attack being the best form of defence.
12:18If they're in the face of the opposition that much, then there's nothing they can do in return.
12:23And I'm not sure how long they can keep the intensity and the tempo up, but it's certainly paid off
12:29so far.
12:30Milan have run riot in the first half and barring a miraculous comeback.
12:36They have done the job already.
12:39So we're just settling back into this second half.
12:47Keepers got good distance on that.
12:50He goes along.
12:52He's made sure that that won't get through.
12:56Guerrero.
13:00Palmer to retain the ball, but seemingly in no rush to break forward.
13:05He wasn't being fooled.
13:08Rice.
13:10Rice takes the long option.
13:13He's off on a marauding run.
13:15Big chance!
13:17One on one!
13:18Plenty of appeals, but the referee is not interested.
13:22Palmer are quick to defend their manager in the wake of criticisms leveled at him in recent days.
13:28I think tactically, he didn't make a good job of things for starters, and then compounded matters in trying to...
13:34And the finish!
13:37And that's not going to reach.
13:45Forward it goes.
13:54Javis.
13:56Javis.
13:57Seifert.
13:58Good take and he's had a look.
14:04This defense is, is weary about opposition pace.
14:07So they're just not getting too tight.
14:09Yeah, they know that if they, they step up, their, their keeper could get a whole lot busy.
14:15Shapes to shoot!
14:25And the counter is on.
14:29Javino.
14:37Javis.
14:40Javis.
14:45Javis.
14:46Oh, he's in!
14:46Javis!
14:47Clue.
14:56Javis.
15:02Javis.
15:03Javis.
15:08Javis.
15:10Javis.
15:13Javis.
15:15Yawok!
15:17plays it out to the wing
15:26this is as ruthless as it gets
15:34listen, when you're on an invitation to improve your goal difference
15:37it weighs off
16:07Milan tear their opponents apart once again
16:10they are utterly ruthless
16:16and it's played forward
16:20more than happy to take the muscular approach
16:26Seifert
16:28and it's in line
16:31as Serbi tries to get it forward quickly
16:37he's gone for it
16:39he scores
16:43just another one to add to what has already been an incredible haul
16:51well, I wasn't expecting him to go this big Peter
16:54but they have been superb
16:58and just like that
17:00he helps himself to another hat-trick
17:04and he runs
17:05so he does not know what he does
17:06and then he does not know what he does
17:14he does not know what he does
17:32Ah, now some movement on the bench and we are going to see a change.
17:37Yeah, their position is a dominant one now, Peter,
17:40so introducing one of the youngsters for some added experience is bang on.
17:53No doubt as to who has the momentum here now.
17:56The only doubt is how many is coming.
17:59Up towards the front line.
18:01It's a long ball, but it's not hit its target.
18:05Forward it goes.
18:07Cuts it out.
18:09Guerrero drives it forward.
18:13Plays it out to the flank.
18:17Damian.
18:27Jarvis.
18:31Jarvis.
18:32Jarvis.
18:32Out to the left it goes.
18:38Up to meet it.
18:39All right, needed better placement.
18:43All right, needed better placement.
18:56And it's Guerrero.
19:01The ball's come loose and the chase is on.
19:07Jarvis.
19:09There's a long ball.
19:10questions were asked.
19:12But he's given the answers.
19:16The changes then in quick succession.
19:19I just think that's really good management.
19:21Introducing one of his younger players when the pressure's tilted me off.
19:24Just allowing him some valuable, easy on-field experience.
19:27Going for goal.
19:29Can he dig out a shot?
19:32Jarvis.
19:36And it's Inla.
19:38Inla!
19:41Oh, that was plenty on that.
19:43Well, Peter, he clearly felt he was being invited to shoot.
19:47And it wasn't the worst decision he could have made.
19:53Oh, good interception.
19:56Guerrero.
20:08Pass needed to be better than that.
20:10And he knows it.
20:12Well, it seems as if he's just had a momentary lapse and slipped into tunnel vision because he had good
20:19options.
20:19Hits one!
20:21Oh, terrific save.
20:34And that'll go straight through to the keeper.
20:46Dangerous-looking ball.
20:47And it's come to nothing.
20:56Jarvis.
20:58That's a...
20:59That's a hit!
21:00And in it goes!
21:04A contest no more.
21:06It is nothing short of utter humiliation.
21:11It's part of the game, Peter.
21:12It has to get ruthless.
21:14Symphony just doesn't play a part.
21:18Four in the game.
21:20He is the man.
21:44it's being played forward
21:49good idea just poorly executed
21:58finds himself eased off the ball
22:03Calicuri
22:06hoists it forward
22:08well no question as to who's winning the battle in midfield at the moment
22:12some very impressive pressing in place here
22:20shakes the suits
22:21oh he really got hold of that
22:35it will be
22:40I like you
22:42what shows there will be three extra minutes
22:47Jarvis
23:00looses his balance and loses the ball
23:07it's won
23:09it's in
23:12and still they continue with the onslaught
23:19well I think we've gone past humiliation now
23:22this could be doing some real psychological damage
23:25thank you
23:29thank you
23:29thank you
23:30thank you
23:32thank you
23:32thank you
23:33thank you
23:35thank you
24:11So here comes the substitution.
24:13Yeah, he's run himself into the ground, hasn't he?
24:15And it's good to see that the crowd appreciate his efforts because...
24:20And that is that.
