craft note on Agent of Shadows: the disguise works because it's boring.
Not a wig, not an accent. A man in a soft jacket carrying a child's bag. That's the entire costume, and it's bulletproof — because nobody in that world has ever looked twice at the person holding the bag.
The show makes this a running idea. Every time he needs to move through a space, he moves through it as staff. Kitchens, service corridors, the back of a lobby. Invisible by role, not by trickery.
And it's the same reason the villains can't find him. They're searching for someone important.
✨ What actually worked for me:
- No dramatic reveals of the disguise. It's just clothing.
- He never changes his posture. That's the whole tell.
✨ Bottom line: the best hiding place is a job title.
Would you notice the nanny? I wouldn't.
