01:44injury and his role is just different plus he's got guys that are aging and or hurt all the time
01:51and kelsey's getting up there in years rasheed rice is having a hard time staying on the field
01:56and outside of those guys name me some other impact guys on offense xavier worthy's been a
02:01disappointment they they want to become more run-centric and don't rely on pat throwing for 30
02:07plus touchdowns i understand but it's like it's not just a one-year thing though because a lot of
02:12things you're talking about is this year it's really the last four years like you brought up
02:17a stretch that ended in 2022 he had an amazing run that patrick mahomes you're not going to see
02:23anymore you're not going to see the 40 plus touchdown patrick mahomes it's unlikely i remember tom brady
02:29kind of had uh a period where he was great then there was kind of a lull and then he

02:35so it kind of depends 25 touchdowns yeah i think it depends on the parts around you sure and the
02:40parts in the passing game in particular haven't been as strong um but he's not like seattle's
02:48defense is special so if you just watch the game yesterday you're like patrick mahomes is supposed
02:53to be some great quarterback right well they're doing that to everybody correct i look i think
03:00if andy reed could have kenneth walker say for the next three seasons and that that makes sense i
03:06don't know how old kenneth walker is but he's not super old he's probably has three or four good
03:10productive years left if i had to guess he wants him to rush for like 1300 plus yards score 15

03:19and take the pressure off mahomes in the passing game kent walker's 26 rounded yeah so he can get up

03:26around 30 and kind of dovetail with mahomes into his mid-30s and run the offense the way you see
03:34them run it this year i i wouldn't bury patrick mahomes ever i wouldn't either he's still immensely
03:40talented and everything but he doesn't seem to be that dominant player that he was in the past
03:48no but i think guys do seem to have vaulted ahead of him not just josh allen yeah and there's

03:56we maybe criminally sleep on and there are other guys that also are entering the conversation
04:01so criminally slept on i would throw in jared goff jared goff's got 14 touchdowns zero interceptions
04:08this year he's killing it all he does is put up big numbers i sleep on him now he's got

04:13that is explosive with really good weapons jameson williams had a big game yesterday but you got a
04:18manra there if you give him time in the pocket he will dissect you he's been to a super bowl
04:24but people really disrespect him the other guy that's entering the conversation now you can say
04:30it's not enough caleb williams i saw this bit that colin cowher did and he said caleb williams
04:36already the most talented player in the league he was the number one pick for a reason now he's
04:40going to play the seahawks which could humble him and he had a uh not a great game against the
04:45vikings when they played wasn't that like a nine to three game or nine to six there was weather
04:49involved there was weather involved but caleb the things which he struggled with as a rookie
04:56and then to a lesser extent last year were completion percentage taking sacks a lot of
05:02those things have been eliminated from his game so you're getting more consistency whereas completion
05:06percentage now at 70 and you're still getting the spectacular throws i mean he had a throw in
05:13the thursday night game i don't know if you remember where he was on they had the ball roughly
05:19on the five yard line he drops back to the goal line and he throws it to like the 35
05:24yard line where
05:24there were like three defenders around him he threw behind his receiver intentionally it was a rocket
05:30yeah he's got a he's got amazing talent there's no doubt about it uh but getting back to mahomes for
05:36a second another reason that he's not going to be as special he's not going to be the the runner
05:42that he used to be like we sleep on the fact that he could escape he could you know break
05:47the pocket
05:48and run for 20 or 30 yards he has 71 yards rushing through six games this year like he has
05:54seasons
05:54where in 2025 you rush for over 400 yards he has seasons with 380 358 390 like you take that
06:02away from
06:03him that makes him that that knocks him down a peg as far as being special like he doesn't have
06:10that
06:10rushing element that he used to have i mean he's rushed for over 2700 yards and 20 touchdowns
06:15in his career on top of his everything he's done through the air i would just say though isn't it
06:20just kind of the normal ebb and flow of like a hall of fame career it's not going to be

06:25in the league for 17 years he's still gonna he's still capable of taking you and winning a super bowl
06:30my opinion yeah i think i mean right he's still special in moments outside of facing seattle like
06:36they're gonna win like 13 or 14 games i think from the way that they're constructed and they
06:42could make a deep run in the playoffs and win a super bowl with him throwing for i don't know
06:4728 touchdowns 12 picks and rushing for 200 yards which is not it's not uh premier patrick mahomes
06:56season but that's kind of what they want out of him at this point or or it's what they're expecting
07:01out of him that's the role that they kind of see him in i don't i don't think pat mahomes

07:34these guys talking about for this season matthew stafford or pat mahomes do i get puka and davante
07:42adams put them in the same situation i think i'd still take patrick mahomes i probably take i'd take
07:48mahomes but it's close uh jordan love in a big game i'm still probably taking mahomes personally

14:49not be one four and one if patrick mahomes was under center or josh allen was under center or some
14:53of these top guys and jayden has played well he's got seven touchdowns no picks but a couple little
15:00situations here and there they played in a bunch of close games makes a difference and uh for whatever
15:06reason patrick mahomes not playing like he did during his prime stretch doesn't mean he can't get
15:10it back like i said if you were to look at tom brady's career they won a bunch of super

15:19drew breeze some of those guys were wildly consistent you you might find some ebbs and flows but there's
15:24natural ebbs and flows some but i mean some of those guys were excellent almost year in and year out
15:31well you're still thinking he's excellent you wouldn't say he wasn't i don't think you would
15:34say patrick mahomes is excellent right now oh wow okay his play hasn't been excellent the last
15:39couple seasons it's been good hasn't been as cakes would say to use the word elite hasn't been elite
15:44that's that's why they had to add kenneth walker they needed a new dimension for the offense
15:48which i i think is the right move
