{"descriptions":["A fast-paced Berlin Q&A packed with blunt opinions, travel stories, nightlife confessions, and answers to the questions people keep asking about Germany. He talks about Majorca, Bavaria, Munich partying, where he’d live in Germany, his favorite Berlin restaurants, why the Matrix nightclub stands out, and what it’s really like working as a YouTuber. Along the way he touches on bread, dating in Berlin, digital nomad banking, discrimination, student life, and the differences between East and West Berlin.\n\nThe conversation also opens the door to his life before YouTube, including studying biology, living in Bali, moving to Berlin for more action, and building a solo creator career by filming, scripting, and editing everything himself. There are candid thoughts on productivity, party culture, travel favorites like Japan, Peru, and Australia, plus a few unfiltered takes on German habits, culture shocks, and city life. It feels like a casual creator Q&A, lifestyle commentary, and Berlin expat talk all at once.\n\nMade for viewers searching for Berlin Q&A, Germany travel and culture, expat lifestyle, German nightlife, and YouTuber life stories. It also works as casual background listening for anyone interested in Berlin clubs, student life in Germany, digital nomad topics, and honest first-person commentary about living in Berlin.","Berlin, Germany, and creator life take center stage in this wide-ranging Q&A where nearly every answer turns into a story. He explains why he prefers Berlin over other German cities, why Bavaria gets mocked, where he likes to eat in Berlin, how he thinks about bread, and why the Matrix nightclub became one of his favorite spots. The video mixes humor, blunt cultural observations, and personal travel preferences with questions about dating, productivity, cars, and the realities of being an independent YouTuber.\n\nIt also goes deeper into his background: biology studies, time in Bali, the move to Berlin, and the chaotic years of partying, freelancing, and learning to make videos alone. He shares favorite cities in Europe, thoughts on Japan, Peru, and Australia, and opinions on student cities, German bureaucracy, and cultural differences abroad. The result is part lifestyle vlog, part Germany commentary, part expat Q&A, and part nightlife storytime.\n\nIdeal for listeners looking for Berlin lifestyle content, Germany culture commentary, expat Q&A, nightlife stories, and YouTube creator interviews. If you enjoy German travel talk, city life discussion, and casual long-form commentary about living in Berlin, this fits search intent for Berlin expat stories, German culture videos, and lifestyle Q&A listening.","This is a no-filter German expat Q&A that jumps from Berlin nightlife to bread, from dating in Germany to the realities of solo YouTube work. He answers viewer questions about Majorca, Munich, Bavaria, favorite restaurants in Berlin, the best bank for digital nomads, and why he still calls Berlin home even after living in other cities and countries. The tone stays conversational and personal, with plenty of opinions about German culture, student life, public transport, partying, and the differences between Berlin and the rest of Germany.\n\nHe also reflects on what he did before YouTube, why he left biology behind, how Bali and Berlin shaped his path, and why making videos alone can feel isolating. Later answers cover travel favorites, strange cultural experiences abroad, discrimination, cars, productivity, and the kind of parties he prefers now that he is older. It is a mix of candid creator talk, travel commentary, city guide energy, and German lifestyle storytelling.\n\nCreated for people searching for Berlin Q&A, Germany expat stories, German culture commentary, nightlife and party talk, and YouTube lifestyle interviews. This also suits long-form background listening for viewers interested in Berlin clubs, student cities in Germany, digital nomad life, and honest first-person talk about living in Berlin and traveling abroad." ]}

00:00Jesus guys, you have a lot of questions, huh?
00:04336?
00:06This is gonna take all week to answer.
00:07But hey, I'm glad you wanna know stuff about Germany, Berlin, myself.
00:12I'm gonna try to make this as quick as possible to answer as many as possible.
00:17Let's see how far we can go.
00:19Are you ready?
00:20How many times have you been to Mallorca?
00:22Is it still Spain there?
00:24LOL
00:24I've been once in my life in Mallorca, when I was eight years old probably.
00:29And no, I have never been ever since.
00:32And no, I don't intend to go there ever again.
00:34Because when I go on holiday, I don't wanna see Germans.
00:37You know, that's the point of getting out of Germany, to not see Germans.
00:41But Mallorca is basically the 17th Bundesland and it's not Spain anymore, no.
00:47Why do Germans outside of Bavaria hate Bavaria?
00:50I've been living here for seven months and they're good people.
00:54Well, probably the main reason is because the rest of Germany can't understand a single
00:59word people from Bavaria are saying.
01:02And Bavaria is the richest state of all German states, which makes them a bit arrogant.
01:08You know?
01:09When are you going to party in Munich?
01:11You have promised it.
01:12I know I have promised it.
01:14But after I promised it, there was a lockdown and all the clubs have closed.
01:19And then I was in South America and now I'm back.
01:22As it turns out, I already was there partying.
01:26I just didn't let you know because it was private.
01:29No, I'm just kidding.
01:30I was there last weekend and I partied and I suffered.
01:33And you will see it next week in a video.
01:35If you didn't live in Berlin, where in Germany do you see yourself living?
01:39Hamburg, Munich or Frankfurt?
01:41And oh, what is the thing you like the most about your country?
01:45To be honest, I have lived in a few different cities in Germany.
01:50I've lived in Heidelberg, in Kassel, in Heilbronn.
01:53I was many, many times in Frankfurt and Munich and Hamburg.
01:57But I couldn't imagine living anywhere else but Berlin if I would live in Germany.
02:03The rest of Germany is very uptight, very conservative, not open-minded at all.
02:10It's just not an environment I want to live in.
02:13Ah, and what is the thing you like most about your country?
02:16It's the bread.
02:18It's the bread.
02:19The bread is the best.
02:21When I am abroad, there's nothing else I miss about Germany.
02:25It's only the bread.
02:27And that doesn't mean Germany is the only country that makes great bread.
02:31There are other countries, but very few.
02:33France makes great bread.
02:35Italy, bread is also alright.
02:37Other than that, you won't find good bread.
02:39Berlin is my favorite place.
02:41You really capture the vibe of the city.
02:43What are your favorite places to eat?
02:45Berlin has so many great restaurants.
02:48It's insane.
02:50There are so many in each district.
02:51And mentioning them all here in this video is way too much.
02:54So it's gonna take forever.
02:56I'm gonna make a map for you guys to see which are my favorite restaurants here.
03:01And then you can try and check them out.
03:04I'll let you know when it's finished.
03:06Why is the Matrix the best Berlin nightclub?
03:09Because you can go there with the age of 16, obviously.
03:13And of course, because you will not encounter a single person from Berlin.
03:18Which is great because they are always in a bad mood.
03:21Yeah?
03:22Where else would you live if Berlin wasn't an option?
03:25Certainly in Tokyo or some other place in Japan.
03:29Japan is by far my favorite country on the whole planet.
03:32I've spent six months of my life there.
03:35And I want to spend as much time there as possible.
03:38But living there is not an option at the moment.
03:40Because I'm too poor for that.
03:43And the second option would be Peru.
03:45I was in Peru this year the first time.
03:48I absolutely loved it.
03:50Every minute of it.
03:51The people, the food, the landscapes.
03:53It's like everything's great.
03:55And the third option would be probably Australia.
03:58They have great beaches.
03:59A laid back way of life.
04:02And also big cities.
04:03Which I like.
04:04What did you do before you became a YouTuber?
04:07Tell us about your experience as a YouTuber.
04:12Before I became a YouTuber.
04:14I mean after school I studied biology.
04:16But I never worked as a biologist.
04:18I love science.
04:19I tell you that.
04:20I love biology.
04:21But thinking about it, you know.
04:23If you want to achieve anything in science.
04:26You have to do the masters.
04:28You have to do the doctors.
04:29Then your postdoc for who knows how many years.
04:32And then you need to work somewhere.
04:34For at least a couple of years.
04:36To be in a position.
04:37Where you can actually do your own research.
04:40That you want to do.
04:41If you're lucky.
04:42Yeah.
04:42At that point you're in the end of your 30s.
04:45And that's the first time you kind of make some money.
04:48I didn't see myself there.
04:50This path is too long.
04:54And too.
04:55Yeah.
04:56My passion for science was not that big.
04:59That I could.
05:00Yeah.
05:01Imagine myself.
05:02Working in a lab.
05:04Doing the same things over and over again.
05:06You know.
05:06You feel like a trained monkey.
05:09A highly trained monkey.
05:10Because you run GILs.
05:12You do PCRs.
05:13You do like.
05:14Yeah.
05:15Cloning.
05:15After I finished my bachelor in biology.
05:18I went straight to Bali.
05:20I lived for three years in Bali.
05:22From 2013 to 2016.
05:27And my brother was already living there.
05:29And he had like a small hotel there.
05:31With like 20 rooms.
05:32And he tried to expand that.
05:34And I was helping him there.
05:36For like two years.
05:38I started making my first really bad videos there.
05:42But then I didn't want to stay in Bali.
05:44Because it's a very small island.
05:45And I was in my early 20s.
05:48And I wanted to have some action.
05:50So I came to Berlin.
05:52And there's plenty of action here.
05:59And when I got to Berlin.
06:00The nightlife year.
06:01It like sucked me in.
06:03Like phew.
06:05For two years.
06:06I was not doing much else than partying.
06:09Like I didn't have a job.
06:12I was like freelancing.
06:13So I had a lot of time.
06:15I was partying three or four.
06:18Sometimes five times a week.
06:19It was.
06:20It was crazy.
06:21To be honest.
06:22I don't know how I survived that time.
06:25And my experience as a YouTuber.
06:29I'm telling you.
06:30It's very lonely.
06:31I mean.
06:32If you are in a YouTube team.
06:35If you have other people you work with.
06:37I think that's a great thing.
06:38But I am most of the time alone.
06:41The only time I shoot with other people is.
06:43If I ask my friends to play a role.
06:46Or I collaborate with other people.
06:48But other than that.
06:49I'm basically most of the time alone.
06:52I do everything myself.
06:53I film.
06:54I script.
06:54I edit.
06:55So I'm very socially anxious now.
06:58Every time I meet someone.
07:00Who is also into making videos.
07:02I enjoy it very much.
07:03And I want to do more of that.
07:05I hope.
07:06I can find more people to collaborate with.
07:09And it's a very weird situation.
07:11That in Berlin.
07:12There are so little YouTubers.
07:15Doing English content.
07:16I mean.
07:16There's a lot of YouTubers.
07:17Who do German content.
07:19In Berlin.
07:20Very few people do English stuff.
07:21Like.
07:22It's weird.
07:23Such a huge expat community.
07:25And if you know anyone.
07:27Who is from Berlin.
07:28Who is living in Berlin.
07:29As an expat.
07:30And I didn't discover them yet.
07:32And you think it would be a great.
07:34Collaboration.
07:35Opportunity.
07:36Please let me know.
07:37What is the easiest way.
07:39To get a date in Berlin.
07:42Tinder.
07:43Or.
07:44Just skip the date.
07:46And go to KitKat.
07:47Easy.
07:47Why do Germans love bread?
07:52Because it's the best thing.
07:54Humankind.
07:55Ever invented to eat.
07:56That's why.
07:57And I mean.
07:58If you are not from.
07:59The middle of Europe.
08:00You don't know what real bread is.
08:03I've been to Asia.
08:04I've been to Latin America.
08:05And.
08:06They.
08:07Don't know what bread is.
08:08The bread they sell there.
08:10They may call it bread.
08:11But it's not bread.
08:12The bread people sell in these places.
08:15Shouldn't be called bread.
08:16Because it's not.
08:17It's sweet.
08:18It's.
08:18Too soft.
08:20It's.
08:20Too sugary.
08:21It's disgusting.
08:22It's just disgusting.
08:24If you buy bread in Asia.
08:26That's not bread.
08:27It's like.
08:28It's a cake.
08:30It's a fucking cake.
08:31So.
08:32Yeah.
08:32No bread.
08:33No life.
08:34What are your favorite cities around Europe?
08:37Alright.
08:38I love.
08:39Budapest.
08:40Lisbon.
08:41Odessa.
08:43And.
08:43London.
08:44London.
08:44And I like the area around.
08:47Cote d'Azur.
08:48So beautiful.
08:48I would love to live in all of those places for a couple of months.
08:51Certainly.
08:52Are you going to do another collab with now?
08:56Oh yes.
08:57Most certainly.
08:58In October.
09:00We are probably going to meet up again.
09:02And then we are.
09:03Trying to shoot as many collabs as possible.
09:07Not just one.
09:07Which is the best bank for digital nomads?
09:10It's called Bitcoin.
09:12Bitcoin is the best bank for digital nomads.
09:15And for everyone else too.
09:17What's your most crazy Berlin party story?
09:20I wish I could share these stories here on YouTube.
09:23But some things should stay in the dark.
09:27And not come to the light.
09:29If you ever meet me I will tell you the story in person.
09:33But this is not for the internet.
09:36What happens in the Berlin clubs should stay in the Berlin clubs.
09:40But I promise you if you come and party here you will find a lot of crazy.
09:45Why are Germans so angry and shouting?
09:48Because people keep calling bread when it is not bread.
09:52That's why they sell bread but it's not bread.
09:55And it makes me angry.
09:58Is two years enough to experience Berlin?
10:01Well it depends.
10:03If you have a job.
10:05And you work eight hours a day.
10:07It's certainly not enough.
10:09Then you need much more time than that.
10:11But if you do not work.
10:12And you have all the time.
10:14The whole week.
10:15In two years.
10:16Not doing anything but exploring Berlin.
10:18You will have enough time to see almost everything I guess.
10:21What is the strangest thing you have noticed.
10:24In a culture outside Germany.
10:26There is so many things.
10:28The cock fighting in Indonesia.
10:30The host clubs in Japan.
10:33The eating live octopus in Korea.
10:36Generally the food in Colombia.
10:38But the strangest thing would probably be this region in Indonesia.
10:43Where they don't bury their bed.
10:46But they mummify them.
10:48And put them in some spots in their house.
10:51And in the village.
10:52And then you have like the grandpa.
10:55Who is dead already for 20 years.
10:58He is just sitting on his chair mummified.
11:00You have these dead people.
11:02Just hanging around in the village.
11:05And that must be probably the strangest thing.
11:08But if you have any more strange things to share.
11:10I would appreciate reading them in the comments.
11:13So let me know.
11:14Do you make your outfits.
11:16Or do you find pieces.
11:17Throw them together and work it.
11:19Where are your favorite places to shop for unique clothing in Berlin.
11:23I wish I could make my own outfits.
11:25I mean I could.
11:26But it takes a lot of time.
11:28I know that.
11:28I just don't have the patience for that.
11:31But I respect everyone who does their own outfits.
11:34Props to you.
11:35And I think more than 70% of my outfits.
11:37I got in second hand shops in Berlin.
11:40Or at the flea market.
11:42And of course a few ones from select designer shops.
11:46I guess.
11:46But nothing I would go regularly to.
11:49Do you still party as much.
11:51As hard.
11:52As often.
11:52Now that Covid is kind of over.
11:55Also do you see new generations of Berliners.
11:57Do they seem different.
11:59Or is everybody just weird.
12:00In their own way.
12:01Well I don't party as much as before.
12:04And I probably would never will again.
12:07I'm just getting too old for this.
12:10And the hangover is not until Monday or Tuesday anymore.
12:14It's ranging until Wednesday or Thursday.
12:17So I think that's just coming with age.
12:20So I wish I could party as hard as I did.
12:23But it's just not feasible anymore.
12:25So nowadays where you will find me.
12:27Is not a normal club at a normal event.
12:30But I will go usually to a like specific event.
12:35Where you have to dress up in a costume or something.
12:37Because I think it's just much more fun.
12:39If everybody is dressed in a crazy costume.
12:42Or a fetish outfit.
12:43It makes the whole experience much more surreal and fun.
12:47In my opinion.
12:48Now how is the new generation different?
12:50What I've seen in the difference is.
12:53That the younger generation takes much more drugs.
12:57And additionally doesn't know how to handle them.
13:01So that's a little bit concerning.
13:04East or West Berlin?
13:05Of course East Berlin.
13:07Which cities would you recommend for students in Germany?
13:10I would recommend a city that is not too big.
13:13Where the amount of students in relation to the rest of the population in the city.
13:18Is very big.
13:20So Heidelberg for example.
13:21I was studying there for a year.
13:24Has a population of 120.000 people.
13:27And the universities have 30 to 40.000 students.
13:31So that's a very big chunk of students in the city.
13:35And it makes the city very alive.
13:38If you want to experience the German culture.
13:41You should also choose a city which is not Berlin.
13:45Because you will not experience any German culture here.
13:48So I would recommend going to Heidelberg.
13:51Münster.
13:53Tübingen.
13:54Leipzig.
13:55And Kassel.
13:56Kassel is a city where I did my bachelor.
13:58And it's a great city for students.
14:00Everything is super cheap.
14:01Rent there is like one of the cheapest in all Germany.
14:04You can get a huge flat for nothing.
14:06I wouldn't recommend to come to Berlin for studying.
14:09Because there are so many possibilities on stuff to do.
14:13You won't get to actually study.
14:16Because you want to do all the other things.
14:19What do Germans think about Thinland?
14:21We love you.
14:22We love you too.
14:24I'm getting crazy guys.
14:25Say something in German that no one except a German would understand.
14:30Lelebeble.
14:31What do you do for maintaining your hair like that?
14:34What do you mean?
14:35What's with my hair?
14:42I mean I wash it once in a while.
14:45You should try it.
14:46It's great.
14:47How many times did you encounter crime in Berlin?
14:51Never.
14:52I am the criminal.
14:53Not a little one.
14:54No actually I can't think of anything criminal I have encountered.
15:00Except drug related crime I guess.
15:02Which you encounter almost every day.
15:05Well I have seen the result of crime happening a lot.
15:08Like burning cars.
15:09You see that almost every day.
15:11But never actually the event.
15:13You know.
15:13Berlin is very safe.
15:15I would say.
15:16Especially coming from South America.
15:17You know.
15:17If you had a time machine.
15:20Which historically figure would you go back and kill?
15:23Well.
15:24I wouldn't kill anyone.
15:26Because that would trigger the grandfather paradox.
15:30And then I would never be born.
15:33Gotcha.
15:33Which is your favorite kebab in Berlin?
15:37There are so many good kebabs.
15:39Most of them are in Neukölln.
15:41I will not tell you.
15:42Because then all of you will go there.
15:44And then I have to queue up for them.
15:46So.
15:47They are gonna stay secret.
15:49Hehe.
15:50How do you keep a productive routine?
15:52Because I heard that people are not really about productivity in cities.
15:55Especially Berlin with all those parties and stuff.
15:58But this is one of the biggest issues for me.
16:01To have a productive routine.
16:03Because I very much don't have one.
16:06And I've been trying to build one for years.
16:09But it's impossible.
16:12There's people who like order.
16:14And they stick to their plan.
16:16But I make a plan.
16:18In the evening I make a plan.
16:19On what I want to do the next day.
16:21But the next day I don't look at the list.
16:22So.
16:23It's all chaos.
16:24What's the attitude of Germans towards other nationalities?
16:27Do non-Germans deal with discrimination?
16:30When they want to rent a flat.
16:32Find a job.
16:33Or build a career.
16:34I have many friends who are not looking like Germans.
16:38They were born here.
16:39But they are from Turkey.
16:41Or from Sri Lanka.
16:43Or other parts.
16:45They face a lot of discrimination.
16:47Yes.
16:47Because of their names.
16:49Because of their skin color.
16:51Especially when it comes to looking for a flat.
16:55They have a very hard time.
16:56They always tell me.
16:57Especially in the countryside.
16:59Not so much when they are looking for a job.
17:01Professionally wise.
17:03It does occur.
17:05Yeah for sure.
17:06But much much less.
17:07And I think the qualification is more important.
17:10Than anything else here.
17:12If you do the job better than a German.
17:14You will get a job.
17:16But if you are from another European country.
17:19Like France, Sweden, Spain, Italy.
17:21I don't think there's a difference there.
17:23They get treated the same.
17:25What's the best way for a woman to ask out a German man?
17:30Hey you.
17:31Nice ass.
17:32You wanna go for a coffee?
17:34That's it.
17:35No man will say no to this.
17:38Do you own a car?
17:39And do you need a car?
17:40Or want a car?
17:41I don't own a car.
17:42And in Berlin you don't really need a car.
17:44Because there's public transport everywhere.
17:47It's very good.
17:49It's very cheap.
17:49Of course I would like to have a car at some point.
17:52But then again in Berlin you have to look for parking spaces.
17:56Which costs you two hours a day if you drive somewhere.
17:59So yeah.
18:01If I move anywhere else I will get a car.
18:03But not before.
18:04What would be the German equivalent of diluting wine with water in France?
18:09The equivalent would be to put Coca-Cola in wine.
18:13Which I know that some countries are doing it.
18:16And Germans are like what the hell are these people doing to the wine?
18:21Because if you put water into the wine it just dilutes it.
18:24You can still taste it.
18:25But if you put Coke into the wine you can't even taste the wine anymore.
18:29Like what the hell is that?
18:31Why are most German drinks carbonated?
18:34Because it's more refreshing.
18:36What would you recommend for someone from Latam who will go to your country in the next month?
18:42I would advise you to bring a lot of condoms.
18:45German women are crazy for Latin guys.
18:49I want to ask you what equipment you use for your vlogging.
18:53Well I use this camera.
18:55The Sony A7S III.
18:57I love this camera.
18:59It's like it's the dream of a camera.
19:01Until the beginning of 2021 I was using a very cheap Panasonic Lumix F300.
19:08And it was like 400 euro.
19:11And this saves me so much time.
19:14In editing, color correction, setting up the lights.
19:17Despite what all the other YouTubers are telling you.
19:20The camera is the last thing you should save money on.
19:23This right here is my second camera.
19:25I was using it on the road when I was in South America.
19:29Because it's a little bit more compact and cheaper.
19:32But it's also a great camera.
19:33And this one is the Sony A7C.
19:36It was a great camera on the road.
19:38And I love it.
19:40But I think if you're serious about YouTube and you're just starting out.
19:45Like this is the perfect camera to start with.
19:48With a good quality.
19:49I don't think there's another one with the same price value relation as this one.
19:54And then of course this Manfrotto super lightweight tripod.
20:00Never failed me.
20:01I don't want to carry too much around.
20:02So I can put this in my backpack on the side.
20:06Very good.
20:06What is your best experience as a YouTuber or living in Germany with your lifestyle?
20:11The best thing about being a YouTuber is that I'm not location dependent.
20:16And nobody tells me what to do.
20:18Except for the algorithm.
20:20If I don't satisfy the algorithm.
20:23Then I will starve.
20:24So, please algorithm.
20:25Bless me.
20:26I pray that I will never fall asleep.
20:29Tell us something about student life.
20:32Student life is great.
20:34You don't want to join the workforce.
20:37Because then you will work.
20:39You will have to pay taxes.
20:40And you will have a 9 to 5.
20:41Or 24-7 like I am.
20:44So, enjoy student life as long as you can.
20:46Life sucks.
20:47If you could meet anyone in this world today.
20:49Who would you meet?
20:51Of course, Belle Delphine was his question.
20:54No, just kidding.
20:55It would be of course, Elon Musk.
20:57In KitKat.
20:58And he was there.
20:59And I'm going there every weekend.
21:00Until I die.
21:02Just to meet him there the next time.
21:04Waiting for you, Elon.
21:05Don't disappoint me.
21:11No, but actually.
21:13There's another person I would like to meet more.
21:15But you probably never heard of him.
21:17His name is Aubrey de Grey.
21:19And he's one of the leading scientists.
21:22Doing aging research.
21:24And he's just an awesome dude.
21:26Is there intelligent life outside our solar system?
21:29Yes, most likely.
21:30What are the three big things Germans want to change in their country?
21:34We want to change the bureaucracy.
21:36We want to change the slow internet.
21:39And the general digitalization.
21:41Everything is still on paper.
21:43And it's so bad.
21:44And of course, world leadership.
21:46Why don't you move to Switzerland?
21:49Because I am not a millionaire.
21:51And I probably will not be one soon.
21:54And a cab up in Switzerland costs like 16 euro.
21:58And I will starve there.
22:01That's why.
22:03I think this is enough questions for today.
22:06We didn't even make it halfway through.
22:09But that's how it is.
22:11And if you made it this far into the video.
22:13Just let me tell you.
22:15You are awesome.
22:17And I'm very happy to have you here.
22:19I really enjoy interacting with many of you in the comments.
22:22And meeting some of you on the streets.
22:24And yeah.
22:24Have a great day everyone.
22:26See you in the next video.
22:28In Munich.
