00:14In a Facebook post, Akmal revealed that his Honda X-ADV motorcycle sold for RM150,000
00:21while his tilapia sales raised nearly RM30,000.
00:25He plans to combine the proceeds with his family's savings to settle the damages and legal costs by next week.
00:34Akmal also thanked supporters for their donations despite repeatedly urging them not to contribute,
00:40revealing that one person had given RM5,000.
00:44He denied staging the auction to solicit donations,
00:48maintaining that he only wanted to sell his assets because his savings were insufficient.
00:53Akmal also pledged to seek donors' permission to redistribute their contributions to those in greater need
01:01and disclose how the money will be used.
01:04On Monday, the Melaka High Court ordered Akmal to pay Kok RM250,000 in damages
01:10and RM50,000 in legal costs after losing a defamation suit.
01:16The case stemmed from Akmal's September 2024 remarks,
01:21calling Kok an old nyonya and suggesting a non-halal label on her forehead
01:25following her criticism of his compulsory halal certification proposal.
