00:00We are here today to announce charges against six individuals, five of whom were arrested this
00:05morning, for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to arrange sham marriages between
00:11United States citizens and illegal aliens for the purpose of illegally obtaining immigration
00:16benefits, including green cards and U.S. citizenship. The alleged mastermind behind
00:23this marriage fraud scheme is Jennifer Gonzalez, a United States citizen who is allegedly
00:29responsible for fraudulently arranging sham marriages in Massachusetts for over a decade.
00:35Gonzalez allegedly charged between $38,000 and $40,000 per marriage and arranged 18 to 20 sham
00:45marriages per year for over 10 years. On the low end, this conspiracy netted her $6 million during
00:54the course of the alleged scam. You will see in the court filings that Ms. Gonzalez was captured on
00:58video recordings explaining, among other things, the process of participating in the sham marriages.
01:04This state is a sanctuary. Trump doesn't like this state because the government from here,
01:10the state, defends us very much. So that is good. I'm going to find out about the license. I'm going
01:18to call my friend because I know that she knows about that. Because if you can't, we'll just get
01:23all the documents that you need and we'll go over there. She'll go ask your wife, you know,
01:27representing you. So Massachusetts is the best place. Massachusetts is the best place for you to be.
