00:00The first ever meeting between these two clubs, no surprise given that this is not just the first season for
00:06Como in the UEFA Champions League,
00:09it's their first ever season in any sort of European competition.
00:13At the age of 31, injury to Asan Diao, looks like it will mean a more advanced role for the
00:19captain, Lucas de Cunha.
00:20Marcus Rashford out as well, so in comes Mason Mount, and with Benjamin Szczesko still missing, Brown and Bomo up
00:27top.
00:27Seven teenagers, with the time approaching 7 o'clock local time on the shores of Lake Como, match day three
00:37underway then for Como and Manchester United.
00:41Here's Cunha starting out on the left-hand side, pulled back by Jan Cotto, play on says the referee, Manchester
00:47United will do that.
00:50Fired wide by Diogo Dalo.
00:54There's a slip from the defender.
00:57Alex Peroni, I think it was, giving Dalo a little bit of time to size up his angle.
01:05So it's Alex Vala, just lost his footing.
01:13Jan Cotto.
01:16Lucas de Cunha.
01:19And here's Paz, first sider for him.
01:24And he plucks one straight out of the top draw.
01:32It hardly took him two minutes to show his quality, the young Argentinian.
01:38But goodness me, did he do so for his first Champions League goal.
01:44Como one, Manchester United nil.
01:48Well, it's Como's first attack.
01:50If they were nervous coming into this, Nicolas Paz didn't show it.
01:55So dangerous on that left foot.
01:58Maguire just can't get tight enough.
02:01What a finish.
02:09Mbomo.
02:10Maguire.
02:12All the worst of efforts from Harry Maguire.
02:15Far away, stayed up.
02:17Wanted the ball played back in.
02:18Bit of a wrestling match.
02:23How many times have we seen him?
02:28Lovely fizz pass into the heart of midfield.
02:31Baturina.
02:32The Dubicas.
02:34Dubicas.
02:35And Lemons makes the save.
02:36He's playing with, scored in both Champions League goals.
02:40In both Champions League games.
02:43So up until now.
02:44I mean.
02:47Bruno Fernandes.
02:52Cunha.
02:59They've been so poor, though, in this first 45, United.
03:03So poor.
03:07Well, there's only been one team in it in this first half.
03:12Well, a fabulous first half of football.
03:15The goal, when it came, came early.
03:17Inside two minutes from Nico Pass.
03:19A beautiful left-footed strike.
03:23They're so disjointed when they press.
03:25It's a huge second 45 for Manchester United.
03:28They start slow.
03:29Can they end this game on a high?
03:30It's Alan Smith and Bill Leslie on the call.
03:32Enjoy.
03:35Needs to find some teeth.
03:38And also to get to that ball as quickly as the Como players have been doing.
03:45Well, that's encouraging the first contribution from Balayba from a Manchester United perspective.
03:50£60 million worth of midfielder brought in from Brighton.
03:55Like Ahmad, the young man who accompanied onto the pitch at half-time, he has had an injury hit start
04:01to the season, so he's only just really getting up to speed.
04:05Hey, Luis Mia.
04:09Paz.
04:10Manchester United back off.
04:11This is Dubikas and that's a beautifully worked goal.
04:18Real quality as they cut through Manchester United.
04:23With a clinical edge to the finish from the in-form Greek up top.
04:27Tassos Dubikas.
04:29There's plenty of distance on that one.
04:33Delict.
04:34Look at all those blue shirts buzzing around.
04:37This is Baturina.
04:38Now Di Cunha.
04:40Di Cunha.
04:42Not this time.
04:44They retreated.
04:45Nobody went to the ball.
04:48By way of contrast, Como have had four.
04:51And scored from two of them.
04:56Paz has stolen it.
05:00It's Paz.
05:02It's three.
05:04And it's brilliant.
05:07And in a nutshell, there's the difference between the sides.
05:12Paz hungrier in winning the ball.
05:15And fabulous in finishing it.
05:19Como three.
05:19Baturina.
05:25They're toying with Manchester United.
05:27There's Valle.
05:28Back to Baturina.
05:32Paz on a hat-trick.
05:39Well, it's performances like this.
05:424-0 winners on that day.
05:43But since then, they've not had a clean sheet.
05:48And they've not won a match.
05:50Here's Ahmad.
05:52Tillamence.
06:03Ahmad has a goalkeeper to tip it over to Manchester United's attack.
06:15He's got two big games, hasn't he, before they are next in Champions League action in the Premier League.
06:33Mads takes it away from Ahmad.
06:36Maguire collects, Dalo, Tielemans, Mbomo, and Mbomo's shot is wide.
07:01Valle, Kaiki, Dubicas, and the final touch is from Jacopo Ramon.
07:16Didn't they work that well?
07:22What a night this is turning into for Como.
07:26Como 4, Manchester United 0.
07:41Valle leading the charge again as they look for a fifth.
07:44Dubicas, pass!
07:49He caught that!
07:52With so much power.
07:57Ahmad with the free kick for Manchester United.
08:08Blue Tezobi.
08:14Ahmad.
08:18One of the few bright spots.
08:20There's Xerxe!
08:23Manchester United look across.
08:25The goal's gonna stand.
08:25There'll be no clean sheet for Como.
