00:00Four straight games in La Liga since then, while Manchester United's 4-0 win over debutante Sabah
00:05has been a rare bright spot in a stuttering start to the campaign,
00:10raising early questions about their general direction under Michael Carrad,
00:14are among those on the bench.
00:19For 11 months.
00:24Finalists in the modern era, losing twice to Real Madrid.
00:30Just over a decade ago, and on the attack early here.
00:35Early pressure on the Manchester United defence, a chance to tee it up,
00:40and an early goal put away by Pablo Barrios inside the opening minute of the game.
00:48Lift off!
00:53Baena racing through, had the composure, picked the pass.
01:01Baena, inch-perfect pass forward, and Martínez able to get back in time.
01:10Lenny Yorou, Dano.
01:16Yorou finding Tielemans, quick to move it on to Brian Umbermo.
01:21Brilliant play from Umbermo.
01:23And Manchester United weren't far away from drawing level.
01:28Rashford.
01:32Rashford makes the run to get on the end of the pass.
01:35Oh, he was so close.
01:36To making it.
01:37Oh, much better, that burst of pace there from Rashford, taking him clear of the defence.
01:44Lissandro Martinez, with a beautifully flighted delivery onto his right foot.
01:52Santos, it's a bit of a bubbler in the direction of Umbermo.
01:56The clearance is not a good one from Romero, and Umbermo sends it forward.
02:00He'll take the return as well.
02:01Past Llorente, not.
02:03Past.
02:04In on goal again here, and it came from the mistake from Romero.
02:11It was a lovely exchange with Yorri Tielemans.
02:15But Oblak equal to it.
02:26Second Manchester United corner.
02:30Here it comes, it's a free header for Belieber.
02:33Manchester United.
02:39As it's whipped in, Goldwoods.
02:41And Levins at full stretch.
02:44They're all looking to add to the three that he's scored already this season.
02:51Settling into the game somewhat after that terrible start.
02:53They had a couple of chances themselves as well along the way.
02:56That pass is a good one.
02:58Llorente trying to find an opening.
03:00Still going.
03:01Llorente.
03:02Simeone wouldn't quite come down quickly enough for him.
03:05And the shot into the back of the...
03:09Llorente.
03:13Tussling inside the penalty area.
03:16The ball ricocheting around.
03:18The pass into Simeone.
03:21And Cardoso in space.
03:24Right on the edge of the penalty area.
03:27Hits it sweetly.
03:31Into the corner beyond the dive of the goal.
03:34But...
03:36The goal is under review.
03:38And Bruno Fernandes certainly was very vocal in suggesting why that would be.
03:43It was the collision between Llorente and Heaven.
03:46Was the deflection off the player's arm?
03:48Did it hit his arm and then bounce forward?
03:52There.
03:54That is what is under review.
04:00Big moment this.
04:09Handball.
04:16There goes a half-time whistle.
04:19And what a blistering start made by Atleti.
04:22Pablo Barrios with a goal.
04:33And Atleti away from Belieber there by Pablo Barrios.
04:37Excellent play by him.
04:39What about that for a ball as well?
04:41So unlucky for Atleti that it's not two, Belieber.
04:46Strong first time.
04:48And Helen makes the interception.
04:50And Tielemans with the chance to send the ball forward.
04:53And it's a very good-looking ball.
04:55In towards Bruno Fernandes.
04:57And just wide of the post.
04:59Manchester United here.
05:02Tielemans had time to just look up and flight it forward towards Fernandes.
05:07But he couldn't quite guide it home inside that far post.
05:13And it bounced agonisingly wide.
05:23Here comes Alvarez once more.
05:25Leaving it for Johnny Cardoso.
05:27A way to the far side.
05:30Looking to tee it up.
05:31And Alvarez is beaten.
05:33But...
05:34So is the ball.
05:35Bayern can't find a way through.
05:37Grimaldo on the far side.
05:39David's in a good spot here.
05:41Doesn't reach him.
05:42Only half cleared by Diogo Dallo.
05:45And into the glance of Lamb and top the boot of Bayern.
05:47Ten minutes to go.
05:52Manchester United's captain will take this one.
05:56Will get a better angle.
05:57He'll go for goal.
05:58And it's off the top of the bar.
06:00The woodwork has been struck in this game.
06:03Twice by the home side and now by Manchester United.
06:07First touch for Ademola.
06:09Lutman and forward it goes towards Jonathan David.
06:12Tussling with Lenny Yoro.
06:14And he's still got it.
06:15And now it's Lutman.
06:16First touch off the bench.
06:18Denied by Levins.
06:20It was quite the tussle he was having there.
06:22Just watch this.
06:25There.
06:26That's what was given as handball by the referee.
06:29And the referee is going to go and have a look.
06:32So initially the referee was implying that he was going to give it the other way.
06:37Because the attacking player grabbed the ball.
06:40But on the advice of the video assistant referee.
06:44He is now having a look at the challenge made upon him here.
06:48As he was about to race through Lenny Yoro with this challenge.
07:00On Jonathan David.
07:01And as you can see.
07:02There wasn't exactly a lot of defensive cover coming round.
07:08Lissandro Martinez certainly would have had a lot of ground to make up.
07:13Well.
07:14Referee Glenn Nieberg.
07:16Has seen everything he needs to see.
07:21And is explaining his reasoning.
07:24And the Lenny Yoro challenge has been penalised.
07:29Initially the ref didn't like the look of the...
07:31Upset the odds.
07:32Well they've got defending to do now.
07:34Because here comes Alejandro Grimaldo.
07:36It's Jonathan David.
07:37Saved by Lammons.
07:38And on the follow-up.
07:39Ademola Lutman.
07:44And Jonathan David's shot.
07:46Parried by Lammons.
07:49Back with Johnny Cardoso.
07:51Oh that's a poor ball.
07:53Collected by Brian and Burbo.
07:55Into Zergzi.
07:58And Manchester United can't find the net.
08:00Cunha's shot is safe.
08:04There's a really poor clearance.
08:07So Zergzi teeing up Cunha.
08:11And the right leg of Yano Black.
08:16Grimaldo clears.
08:18And there's the final whistle.
08:21And Atleti winning the Champions League for the first time this season.
08:26Having lost at Liverpool on the opening night.
08:28They started superbly.
08:30Pablo Barrios.
