00:00In Bethany, Martha welcomed Jesus into her bustling stone home.
00:03Her sister Mary sat quietly at the Lord's feet.
00:06Mary listened deeply to every holy word Christ spoke.
00:10Meanwhile, Martha felt overwhelmed preparing food for their guests.
00:13Frustrated and exhausted, Martha asked Jesus to scold Mary.
00:17She demanded that her sister help with the serving.
00:20Instead of agreeing, Jesus spoke to Martha with gentle tenderness.
00:23He said Martha was anxious about far too many things.
00:26Only one thing was truly needed, choosing God's presence.
00:30Never let daily busyness crowd out your sacred devotion.
