00:00Okay, the Giants cut running back Najee Harris today. What does it mean and why did it happen?
00:05Was it because he complained after the game, after the Giants lost to the Saints?
00:09He was befuddled and mystified why he became the starting running back in place of
00:14Cam Scadaboo, who fumbled last week against Washington. Najee Harris only had four carries
00:21and two yards. He could not understand why he only had four carries when he was named the
00:26starting running back. He couldn't understand it.
00:28All I know is I just put trouble. I feel like I just put trouble and they weren't in the
00:31game.
00:31That's it. I don't really know what else. I have no answer. It's not something I could speak about
00:38because I don't really have no answer to the question.
00:40Was that the reason why they cut him today? No, it was not. It was one word explanation why the
00:46Giants cut Najee Harris. Production. More specifically, lack thereof. Najee Harris was averaging 3.2 yards
00:55per attempt this year. Now, this is a guy who gained a thousand yards in each of his first
01:00four seasons with the Steelers. He was a workhorse, a bell cow running back. He tore his Achilles last
01:06year in week four playing for the Chargers. The Giants signed him this summer. He did not look like
01:12the same player. I mean, anyone who watched him play could not say that Najee Harris looked like a guy
01:17who deserved more carries. The Giants gave him a shot. It didn't work out. Oh, by the way, Cam Scadaboo
01:22hasn't run well. Tyrone Tracy hasn't run great. Motor Devin Singletary hasn't run great. Maybe it's
01:29the offensive line, right? But the Giants running game is no good. They had four guys. John Harbaugh
01:34said, we don't need four guys. It's too many guys. We have to figure this out. Someone has to reach
01:38out
01:39and take hold of this job. Do the most you can with the opportunities you get. Make the most of
01:44those opportunities and you're sure to get more opportunities. Do something. So I get it that you
01:50want to get out there and you want to get a rhythm, but that rhythm is earned too. And it
01:55just hasn't
01:56happened yet. Well, it won't be Najee Harris because he's gone. Now the Giants have to figure
02:00out, is it going to be Tyrone Tracy? Is it going to be Cam Scadaboo? Is it going to be
02:05Devin Singletary?
02:06It's not going to be Najee Harris.
02:08It's not going to be Najee Harris.
