00:00a lot of it i think ultimately starts with you know honestly my father growing up like watching
00:04him and listening to him with a lot of things we talk about in pre-game speeches and the stuff

00:09would do but he was always looking for an edge like a mental edge and the building of confidence
00:14edge we were never a really big team never had a lot of guys on the roster we're a little
00:18catholic
00:18school in pennsylvania a lot of the the two public schools around us were pretty strong powerhouses
00:23and was never were we the better team but we play better than a lot of teams sometimes and
00:28i think that had a lot to do with just his ability to motivate us and then you know have
00:33us believe
00:33in ourselves that was a big a big part of it and then i think for me just i do
00:37a lot of researching
00:38and learning just about leadership and i just want to keep growing and getting better and the more
00:42people i could talk to the better off i feel like i can be and then just finding my own
00:46ways and and
00:47and own research that just kind of fits the the narrative of the the week that we're facing you
00:51said last week you kind of tease out some of your message out earlier in the week and build toward
00:56game day and your pre-game message how does that process work and and how much planning
01:00goes into it quite a bit actually uh you know i i think that every week presents a new occasion
01:06and
01:06and you want to make sure your focus is right you know that we got to talk about our standards
01:10this
01:11week that's a big part of what we're gonna you're gonna hear us say and that's part of it is
01:14that we
01:15are setting the standards and our standards are what we're going to live by on a day-to-day basis
01:19and
01:19regardless of the opponent we're playing we have to uphold ourselves to an extremely high standard
01:23period i think our guys understand that and that's something that you know will be talked about
01:27quite a bit as the week goes on last week we had to talk about you know the bullseye getting
01:31bigger
01:31but that bullseye is a mentality right that is how you react to a bullseye is the the mentality of
01:36it
01:36are you the hunted or are you the hunter and that had to come down to what type of mentality
01:40you're
01:40going to carry into that game
