00:25but uh the last time the canes found himself in his spot i believe sean taylor was still on the
00:33university of miami at that point playing against ohio state uh in that 2002 fiesta bowl there and
00:41that was the mcgahey years and prentzell and they had a whole lot of guys and coker was the coach
00:48uh but that was the last dominant era for the university of miami i mean it's been that long
00:55since they've been this dominant in college football it's kind of crazy yeah and i would
01:02not look they they're number one and they've and they were really good last year uh i i don't want
01:08to compare those two errors because by no means was miami dominant against florida state i think
01:14they should have lost and that they would have been ranked 11th in the country but given their
01:18credit they won they should be the number one team in the country right now i would agree with that
01:22i don't think putting them on the same playing field with byu i don't think it's particularly
01:27close i think miami should and would be byu too uh but look a lot of this is going to
01:32come down to
01:33what the committee thinks and then naturally i i think that the game of the year still remains in
01:39college football when miami goes to notre dame just because uh notre dame has i mean if there
01:45was ever i don't know if miami is going to beat notre dame joe and i don't know if that
01:48if the
01:49reverse is going to happen but i don't i can't recall another scenario outside of the conference
01:54meaning sec versus sec acc versus acc where there there can't be more bad blood than going into that
02:02game right there right not bad not bad blood with notre dame hating miami with notre dame wanting
02:07to get even for what happened last year where they got knocked out they refused to play in a bowl

02:12all because of that one loss that close loss to miami so if they can't get even with miami in
02:19south
02:19bend with the craziest fan base i would think for a single game we've ever seen there then they never
02:24will because that is going to be the toughest environment that any team is going to have to go
02:28play in because this is this is notre dame's chance this will be in november notre dame's chance to
02:34get even i suspect miami is not going undefeated this season before the end of the year after what
02:39i saw against florida state their defense joe i mean that if if that didn't wake up the rest of
02:45college football you just throw bombs on this team they can't what happened dick joe they couldn't
02:49cover anybody it's crazy no they could not yep and and not one but two uh hail mary's ended up
02:56somehow getting uh getting through there including that second one and and i they're just lucky there
03:02wasn't any sort of uh you know clear view that could have given it because it looked like the
03:08guy had it as well so but you live and learn so we'll see whether or not they can uh

03:14from that and move on but uh one thing's for sure darian menza certainly proving his worth from a
03:22heisman uh candidate uh situation there the kid is just uh he's money under center there notre dame
03:30tough place to play in provo utah so i don't hold it against them uh too much but i mean

03:36the end of the game at the end of that game joe that was a horrendous like it should have

03:41second left too i never complain about the refs like as long as i've been here nine years or eight
03:46years of sports grid anybody that complains about refs to me i'm like listen find something else to
03:51care about in your life if this is what you're going to spend your life worrying about the refs
03:54but here i am at 7 34 on a monday night for the first time in a while complaining about

04:01because that was just a horrendous end of game call like i was i was watching live thinking okay
04:06pass interference let's see if they score on the one i'm like wait a second no call i'm like wow

04:11call that was and there should have been a second put back on the clock there was actually one second
04:17i didn't know that remained and they and they didn't uh they didn't review that either so yeah
04:23they could have had one other shot uh in the end zone there to uh to go ahead and win

04:29listen give byu credit but i don't think byu is one of the top two teams in the country i

04:35so either i don't think so either no and i think that'll play out uh accordingly here but ohio state

04:48think that's a problem i think indiana is not even remotely close to the team they were a year ago
