00:01Weren't you supposed to be home with your wife tonight?
00:05She wouldn't ask.
00:07Really?
00:08Three years ago, she couldn't care more.
00:11She doesn't care what I do anymore.
00:18Boss, we've got tail.
00:23It's Hearst's crew.
00:29Hold tight!
00:41Cole? Cole, look at me!
00:45Are you hurt?
00:48Cole Maddox, founder of Maddox Resorts and Gaming Group,
00:51was targeted in an apparent vehicle attack on the Las Vegas Strip tonight.
00:55Witnesses say Maddox shielded Sienna Blake,
00:57an emerging sculptor who was riding with him with his own body during the impact.
01:01Maddox was seriously injured.
01:03Blake suffered only minor injuries.
01:07Mrs. Maddox, your husband was seriously injured in a car crash
01:10and is receiving emergency treatment.
01:12You're listed as his emergency contact.
01:14We need you to come to the hospital as soon as possible.
01:17You have the wrong person.
01:20By the third year of Cole's affair, I'd finally become the wife he'd always wanted.
01:25I stopped checking his phone.
01:27Stopped asking where he spent his nights.
01:29Stopped losing it every time I caught him with another woman.
01:33I finally learned to be quiet.
01:35What he didn't know was that when a woman suddenly stops making a fuss,
01:38it usually doesn't mean she's finally come to her senses.
01:41It means she's getting ready to leave.
01:48Do you know I was in that crash?
01:50I knew.
01:52And you didn't come once?
01:54Not a single phone call?
01:56Evelyn, I'm your husband!
01:59Isn't that what you told me?
02:00Don't go around reminding people I'm your wife.
02:03Don't show up when you're with Sienna.
02:06You said it makes her uncomfortable.
02:08Maybe you should write me a list.
02:10What I'm allowed to do.
02:11What I'm not.
02:13I'll follow it from now on.
02:14In case I'd upset you again.
02:17This was exactly the wife he'd always wanted.
02:20No arguments.
02:21No drama.
02:22No more questions about his life.
02:24And yet, now that I'd finally become her, Cole was starting to panic.
02:44Cole, I finally turned in my paper.
02:46Come over tonight, I've got a surprise for you.
02:49Remember that outfit you like?
03:01Take these.
03:02They're not getting used here anyways.
03:04Or don't.
03:05If Sienna can give you a child, maybe that's for the best.
03:10What tricks are you playing?
03:13What?
03:15So this is your new game?
03:17Pretend you don't care and wait for me to come running back?
03:19Is that so?
03:21Evelyn, I've already told you.
03:22Sienna's who I want now.
03:23This isn't going to work.
03:27If that's what you need to believe.
03:33Go.
03:34Don't keep her waiting.
03:36And no need to rush home tonight.
03:38I'll be fine.
03:41Anything else?
03:51Lawyer Harper, it's me.
03:53Where are we on the divorce?
03:54The case is officially moving forward.
03:56The petition and supporting documents were properly served on Mr. Maddox's attorneys.
04:00So far, they haven't contested anything.
04:02How much longer?
04:03If they continue not to contest it, we can move faster, but it still won't be immediate.
04:08That's too long.
04:09I don't want alimony or any of his personal assets.
04:12My founder shares stay under the prenup and shareholder agreements.
04:15I just want this marriage to end as quickly as possible.
04:18Understood.
04:19I'll push it as fast as I can.
04:26Thirteen years ago, he wasn't like this.
04:28Back then, Cole didn't own casinos or hotels.
04:32He didn't have the kind of power that could make Vegas bend around him.
04:36He didn't even own a decent suit.
04:39But back then, he loved me.
04:55Cole, are you coming or not?
04:57Shut up.
04:59People used to ask me why I changed my whole life for one girl.
05:03The answer was simple.
05:04The first time I saw her at 17, I knew I was done for.
05:25Cole, is fighting the only thing you're good at?
05:27Football.
05:28Anything else?
05:31You've already been suspended twice for fighting, and your grades are a disaster.
05:35What makes you think I'd go out with you?
05:38Then tell me what it'll take.
05:39No suspensions for the rest of the semester.
05:41Get your GPA above a 3.0.
05:44Do that, and I'll go on one date with you.
05:47You promise?
05:48I promise.
05:50Deal.
05:54From then on, Cole started to change.
05:57I promise.
05:58I promise.
06:00Ready?
06:18I promise.
06:21I promise.
06:27Evelyn, 3.1. Not one suspension all semester. I did it.
06:37Looks like you lost.
06:39I know.
06:40So, our date.
06:45One date. That's it.
06:47One is all I need.
06:48Don't get too proud.
06:49Too late.
06:52Back then, I really believed that if someone was willing to change his whole life for me,
06:57he'd love me forever.
07:00Later, I finally learned that people would change.
07:03For sure.
07:03Seventeen-year-old me just didn't know it yet.
07:14He grew up in one of the roughest parts of Vegas.
07:18Fights. Suspensions. Athletic scholarships.
07:22And now he's walking away from football to chase casinos and clubs.
07:26Tell me, this is the man you're willing to throw away your entire future for?
07:31Yes.
07:33You have no idea what you're giving up on.
07:35Everything the Whitmore family can offer you.
07:38The career already waiting for you. The life you could have lived.
07:42How is any of that not better than following him to Vegas?
07:45That's the life you chose for me. Not the one I chose.
07:51So you're walking away from your family? For him?
07:56I'm not walking away from you. I'm simply choosing him.
08:00If you walk out of here with him tonight, from now on, you're on your own. Financially.
08:07I know.
08:13Did my dad send you to talk me out of it?
08:16No.
08:18Then why are you here?
08:20To say goodbye.
08:24He's the one you chose. I don't get to change it for you.
08:29Just, if you ever regret it, don't let one fight with your family convince you that you can't come home.
08:34I won't.
08:36I hope so.
08:42You're not eating?
08:46Not hungry.
08:48You haven't eaten anything since this afternoon.
08:51When I have money, first thing I'm buying is a bed.
08:53So big that you could roll over three times and still not fall off.
08:57Then a house with a pool and a yard.
08:59I didn't come here for a house.
09:02But I want to.
09:06Evelyn, I swear I'm going to make something of myself.
09:09One day your father will have to admit he was wrong about me.
09:12And I will never betray you.
09:15Okay.
09:16I'm holding you to that.
09:45Mr. Maddoxy, if you could thank only one person for your success, who would it be?
09:51My wife.
09:53I wouldn't be the Cole Maddox today without Evelyn.
10:16Who is she?
10:18Evelyn, calm down.
10:19I asked you, who is she?
10:35Evelyn?
10:39I'm sorry.
10:40I didn't know you were pregnant.
10:43I swear I didn't know.
10:44The doctor said we lost the baby.
10:46Evelyn, I swear I'm done with her.
10:48Starting today, she's out of my life.
10:51Give me one more chance.
10:53After all these years, I've never begged you for anything.
10:56I'm begging you now.
10:58Don't leave me.
11:14Let's start over.
11:20Relax.
11:21I'm not here to bother you.
11:23I...
11:23I'm just here with my professor for the exhibition.
11:36You promised me!
11:38We just lost our baby!
11:40Everything you said to me on your knees in that hospital, was it all a lie?
11:44Hey!
11:46Hit me if you want.
11:47Don't touch her.
12:00Something came up at the casino.
12:01I have to go.
12:01Let's go.
12:23Evelyn, don't do this again.
12:25Please.
12:28I know I used to love you like crazy.
12:31But we've been together since we were 17.
12:33We risked everything for this relationship.
12:36And now, being with you just feels exhausting.
12:40Sienna's different.
12:41She makes things easy.
12:44She makes life feel new again.
12:46Sometimes I even wonder what would have happened if I'd met her first.
12:52But I'm not divorcing you.
12:54You've been by my side through all of this.
12:56You're always my wife.
12:58Always Mrs. Maddox.
12:59Your shares.
13:00Your place in the company.
13:02Everything you have now.
13:03None of that changes.
13:05Just Sienna is going to be part of my life.
13:07I'm not asking you to like her.
13:09I'm asking you to accept reality.
13:14Okay.
13:20After that day, I never fought with him again.
13:24Cole thought I'd finally learned to accept it.
13:26The truth was, I'd finally accepted one thing.
13:29He wasn't worth my love anymore.
13:43Why'd you bring me to this dump?
13:46Even the bed looks ancient.
13:47Because this is where everything started.
13:50You and her?
13:51I don't want to go back here.
13:53And all I can think of is the time with her.
13:56I want new memories here.
13:58With you.
14:01What are you doing here?
14:03The apartment is in my name.
14:05Why wouldn't I be here?
14:07Go ahead and take the photos.
14:10The photos for what?
14:12I'm selling it.
14:13No.
14:14This is where we started.
14:15You can't sell this place.
14:17So you do remember?
14:20This place is different.
14:23Then I'll give you a choice.
14:25My birthday's coming up.
14:28You promised that no matter how bad things got between us,
14:31you'd never upset me on my birthday.
14:33This apartment, or three days without her.
14:36Choose.
14:39Cole.
14:46Do you have to make me choose?
14:48Keep the apartment.
14:49I'll make it up to you some other way.
14:52Choose.
14:56Sell the apartment.
14:58You heard him. List it.
15:04Hey.
15:05It's already noon.
15:07We're all here.
15:07Let's have lunch.
15:10The three of us.
15:13Cole, you really do know how to humiliate me.
15:30Sienna.
15:31Look at me. Where were you hit?
15:33Cole.
15:34Cole.
15:34It hurts.
15:35Call ahead.
15:36Tell the medical center to prep an OR.
15:39Boss!
15:40Mrs. Maddox has been shot too!
15:44Cole!
15:46Don't feed me.
15:48Get her to the hospital first!
16:03Two gunshot wounds.
16:05Severe blood loss.
16:06Start fluids and prep for surgery.
16:07Now!
16:09The shooters outside the apartment are the same crew that hit your convoy.
16:12I'll handle Hurst.
16:14They won't get another shot at you.
16:16Finish it.
16:17It won't stop bleeding.
16:20Cole, am I going to die?
16:22My doctor used to tell me I have a serious clotting disorder.
16:27Ms. Blake's chart does show a severe clotting disorder and her blood type is relatively rare.
16:32Evelyn has the same blood type.
16:35No.
16:36Mrs. Maddox has been shot and has already lost too much blood.
16:39She cannot donate right now and she hasn't consented.
16:42No.
16:45Save Sienna first.
16:47Mr. Maddox, your wife's condition is far more serious than Ms. Blake's.
16:50Any additional blood loss could put her life in immediate danger.
16:54Sienna has a clotting disorder.
16:56We can get compatible blood through the blood bank.
17:00And what if anything happens to her while you're following protocol?
17:03This is a medical center, not one of your casinos.
17:07You know who keeps this place running better than me?
17:09Whatever you need me to sign, I'll sign.
17:12Save Sienna first.
17:26Take mine. If I'm not a match, figure something else out.
17:29Do whatever you have to do!
17:32She can't die!
17:42You scared the hell out of me.
17:45Don't ever do that to me again.
17:46I can't lose you.
17:48So he did care whether he'd lose me after all.
17:51I just wasn't the one he was afraid to lose anymore.
18:00Mrs. Maddox, there's something you have a right to know.
18:05During surgery, a procedure was performed that you didn't consent to.
18:10And it can't be reversed.
18:13What procedure?
18:14A hysterectomy.
18:18What did you say?
18:19Your uterus was removed.
18:26Why?
18:28Sienna had more tests.
18:30The doctors say she may never be able to have children.
18:35She fell apart when she found out.
18:38She kept saying I'd leave her because she can't have kids.
18:41She even said there was no point in living.
18:43So?
18:45I wanted her to know I wouldn't leave her just because she can't have kids.
18:49So you had them remove my uterus?
18:51The doctors wrote it up as an emergency decision during surgery.
18:54They'll handle the paperwork.
18:58I never thought I'd see a man destroy his own wife's body just to prove to his mistress he'd stay
19:03even if she couldn't have kids.
19:05Evelyn, I know this is a lot to take in right now.
19:09$30 million.
19:10What?
19:11For what you took from my body.
19:13$30 million.
19:14Transfer it now.
19:16You're asking me for money?
19:17I don't want an apology.
19:19I want the money.
19:26Marcus, transfer $30 million from my personal account to my wife's.
19:29Now.
19:30Mr. Maddox?
19:31Ms. Blake is having another episode.
19:33She keeps asking for you.
19:36Get some rest.
19:37I'll be back later.
19:42I had already lost our first child.
19:45Now there would never be another.
19:54You here alone?
19:55Can I buy you a drink?
19:58She's my wife.
19:59Get lost.
20:04What are you doing here drinking like this?
20:06If I hadn't shown up, were you going to give that guy your number?
20:11Wife.
20:13Not for much longer.
20:15What did you say?
20:17Cole.
20:18Evelyn's here too?
20:19Perfect.
20:20Come join us in the VIP room.
20:23Isn't that what you wanted?
20:24For us to get along?
20:29Pick another one.
20:31It's just a game.
20:32Relax.
20:38I gave you the belt.
20:40Least you can do is give me a kiss.
20:50Enough!
20:51Cole!
20:52Stop!
20:52You're going to kill him!
20:57He used to protect me like that too.
21:00That was a long time ago.
21:07We're leaving.
21:08But Evelyn's still here.
21:10She can get herself home.
21:12Come on.
21:21So you're his wife.
21:23He beat me half to death over that girl.
21:26Fine.
21:27I'll take it out on his wife.
21:54I'll take it out on his wife.
21:57That night couldn't get to you.
22:00So he came after me.
22:05Sienna's first major solo sculpture show is tonight.
22:07You're coming with me.
22:09You're still on the board.
22:11And you're chair of the foundation.
22:13This is a public event.
22:14You should be there.
22:16Fine.
22:31You made it.
22:34Evelyn.
22:35You actually came.
22:37I honestly didn't think you would.
22:39Congratulations.
22:43How much do you think Maddox spent on her?
22:45Who knows?
22:46Studio.
22:47Venue.
22:47Press.
22:48He arranged all of it.
22:50Everyone in Vegas knows what she is to him.
22:54Keep your voice down.
22:56Everyone knows.
22:58But nobody says it in front of Mrs. Maddoxy.
23:01Before we finish,
23:03I want to share a little of my process over the last few years.
23:06From art school to tonight,
23:08these are some of the pieces that mattered most to me.
23:23Turn it off! Turn it off!
23:32It was you!
23:39I had nothing to do with this.
23:41Who else could it be?
23:43Everyone in Las Vegas knows she hates me.
23:45She wanted to destroy me in front of everyone.
23:50You happy now?
23:52I told you.
23:53It wasn't me.
23:55Who else would want to ruin her?
23:58You're not even going to find out what actually happened?
24:01I knew you hated her.
24:03I didn't think you'd sink this low.
24:06So that's who you think I am now?
24:12What are you going to do?
24:14Call the police?
24:16Sue me?
24:17Or are you just going to punish me because she's hurt?
24:22Find those old pictures of Evelyn.
24:24Cole.
24:25She humiliated Sisyana.
24:28Now let her see how it feels.
24:31Those are private images of your wife.
24:35Once they're out there...
24:36Do it!
24:40Cole, you're the only person who has those photos.
24:45You'd really put them out there?
24:49Try me.
24:49Do it!
25:11Do it!
25:15Cole had begged me for those photos years ago.
25:18He promised no one else would ever see them.
25:24I believed him.
25:29You saw the pictures?
25:33That's the price for what you did to Sienna.
25:35Remember it.
25:37Don't go after her again.
25:41I hate... I hate you.
25:45Fine. Just stay out of her way from now on.
26:00Evelyn, the judge entered the final divorce decree today.
26:03Everything was properly served on Cole's legal team.
26:05They never filed a valid response, and the property agreement is now in effect.
26:10So...
26:11As of today, the marriage is over.
26:13You're legally divorced.
26:21Really, thank you.
26:26I'm free.
26:28I'm free.
26:34I'm free.
26:35I'm free.
26:42I'm free.
26:44I'm free.
26:49I'm free.
26:50I'm free.
26:53I'm free.
26:54I'm free.
26:57I'm free.
26:58I'm free.
26:58I'm free.
27:08I don't know.
27:57I don't know.
28:01I don't know.
28:01Evelyn, you never stopped having a home here.
28:20Evelyn!
28:21Evelyn!
28:24No one's inside.
28:26Security footage shows she left with luggage last night.
28:29The staff had already cleared out.
28:35Mrs. Maddox asked me to give you this.
28:51What the hell is this?
28:52The final divorce decree.
28:53I know what it says.
28:55I'm asking how the hell you let this go through without telling me!
29:01Why wasn't I told?
29:03Sir, we didn't file for divorce.
29:05Elida did.
29:05The petition, the property agreement, the court notices, I sent them three separate times.
29:11The first time, you didn't respond.
29:13The second time, you told me to hand it to legal.
29:15And the third?
29:17Your exact words were, give her whatever she wants.
29:20Stop bothering me with this.
29:23Then fix it.
29:24You can't.
29:25It's final.
29:35I'm sorry.
29:37Boarding is closed.
29:49Evelyn.
30:02This mug is ancient.
30:04Let's redo the place.
30:05Furniture, dishes, art, everything.
30:09Don't touch that.
30:16This tastes too bland.
30:21So, what do you think of the new proposal?
30:34Who told you you could touch any of this?
30:38Isn't this our home now?
30:40No.
30:56I kept telling myself I was just tired of her.
31:00It wasn't until she was gone that I realized I had no idea what a life without Evelyn even looked
31:06like.
31:34You really think I'd take a meeting with some kid.
31:36who had no assets, no credit,
31:39and nothing but nightclub cash coming in?
31:43Evelyn?
31:44Her father.
31:46Charles Whitmore called me.
31:48The first thing he said was that he didn't like you.
31:51But he said his daughter had bet her whole life on you.
31:54So he asked me to give you one shot.
31:56Everything you built after that was yours.
31:59But that first door, they opened it for you.
32:21I always thought I climbed out of that neighborhood by myself.
32:25Turns out love wasn't the only thing she gave me.
32:49What is she doing here?
32:55Where have you been for the last six months?
32:57I had everyone looking for you.
32:59When did you start talking to Julian again?
33:01When did this start?
33:02Was it before we were divorced?
33:03Enough!
33:05Before the divorce, Julian and I never crossed a line.
33:09Now whatever happens between us is none of your business.
33:13You used to...
33:16You left me because of him?
33:18No!
33:19I didn't leave you for Julian.
33:23I left you because of you.
33:40The flowers I sent her were returned.
33:46The jewelry I gave her was also returned.
33:49I bought that old apartment and gave it to her.
33:54Send this to her.
33:56Also returned.
34:00I bought the old apartment back.
34:02I've been tracking down our old things.
34:04Evelyn, we can start over.
34:06Start over.
34:09Start where?
34:12Where?
34:13The first time you cheated?
34:14When we lost the baby?
34:16When you forced the hospital to take my blood?
34:19Or when I woke up and found out I could never have children?
34:25Or maybe when you showed the entire city photos that were meant only for you?
34:30I'll make it up to you.
34:31Whatever you want, I'll give it to you.
34:35You still don't understand.
34:39You can't buy those things back.
34:49Julian didn't save me from you.
34:51I left you first.
34:52Then I chose him.
34:54Those are two different things.
35:02Mr. Ashford, there's been a lot of speculation about the two of you lately.
35:06Would you like to confirm your relationship?
35:12Of course.
35:13She's my fiancée.
35:31Up, seven.
35:35Up, seven.
36:07I like paintings like this
36:09They feel like wind
36:12Like someone finally got free
36:17Opening bid, $50,000
36:20$1 million
36:26Cole, are you insane?
36:27That painting isn't worth anything close to that
36:29$2 million
36:33$3 million
36:38$5 million
36:47Evelyn, look
36:48I remember
36:49I remember what you love
36:52I can get it back
36:54Everything you used to love
36:55I can get it all back
36:58It's a little loud in here
37:00Then let's go
37:25Everything you asked me to look into is here
37:30It's a little loud in here
37:59explain
38:01cool let me explain
38:02your clotting disorder was fake
38:05you lied about why you can't have kids
38:07and you leaked those images yourself
38:08I did it because I love you
38:10she always gets to be the one beside you
38:12you spend your time with me, you spoil me
38:15you give me everything and people still only
38:17see me as your mistress
38:20why?
38:22why does she get to be
38:23Mrs. Maddox forever?
38:24why does she get your past, your name
38:27your empire while I'm the one
38:29who has to stay hidden
38:32you lied to me
38:33I know
38:35I was wrong
38:36but I only did it because I love you
38:38but I was the one who made them take her blood
38:43I was the one who destroyed her body
38:47I was the one who put those photos out there
38:51no matter how cruel you were
38:52you didn't make any of those choices for me
38:56I destroyed her myself
38:57it was my life
38:58I was the one where I started
39:03no, it's time to die
39:04you're right
39:05it's time to speed
39:06Here we go.
39:47Evelyn!
39:50I know the truth now.
39:51Sienna lied to me.
39:53But that's not an excuse.
39:54I forced them to take your blood.
39:56I said yes to the surgery.
39:58I had those photos leaked.
40:00I was wrong.
40:01All of it.
40:02Every choice was mine.
40:03Just give me one more chance.
40:05There are no more chances.
40:11If you leave tonight, I honestly don't know if I can keep living.
40:19If my life is what it takes, then fine!
40:22Just give me one more chance!
40:31Death doesn't fix any of this.
40:38Your life is yours, Cole.
40:40So is your regret.
40:42So is your pain.
40:44What you do from here has nothing to do with me.
40:49Don't make me responsible for whether you live or die.
41:15Sell the shares.
41:17Donate the money to charities that support women and children.
41:21What about these?
41:22Get rid of them too.
41:24Auction them.
41:25Donate them.
41:25I don't care.
41:26I don't need them anymore.
41:29An anonymous donor sent in this box of old keepsakes.
41:32Bidding starts at $200.
41:41My granddaughter might like some of this stuff.
41:48I don't care.
41:53I don't care.
41:54I don't care.
41:54My daughter needs your child.
41:55Came to the doctor.
42:00I don't care.
42:01Mom!
42:13She's asked me five times if we're having chocolate cake tonight.
42:16Dad already said yes.
42:17Then chocolate cake it is.
42:29The Maddox group collapsed completely due to debts, regulatory investigations, loss of core team members, and long-term operational dysfunction.
42:37A month ago, Cole Maddox fell to his death from an old apartment building in Las Vegas, and the police
42:42concluded it as a suicide.
42:43There were no on-site photos or suicide notes.
42:50Mom!
43:00When I was 17, I thought loving someone meant giving them everything I had.
43:04My youth, my family, my future.
43:07I gave him all of it.
43:09Later, I learned that love isn't supposed to cost you who you are.
43:13And just because someone regrets hurting you doesn't mean you owe them another chance.
43:21I loved him for 13 years.
43:24It took me a long time after that to find myself again.
43:28Now, I don't hate him.
43:32I don't love him either.
43:35That part of my life is over.
43:38And now, my life is finally beginning.
43:41That part of my life is over.
43:41That part of my life is over.
43:42That part of my life is over.
43:42You
