If you really want to optimize your life with startup science (and you shouldn't) then:
- Build a VC startup in your 20s. If it goes bad, you have a great operational CV, better than 99% of your peers. If it goes well...nothing to worry about, ever!
- But in case it goes bad, then in your late 20s or early 30s you go full boostrap as second founder
- Then in your mid 40s you go VC again when you have enough wealth and network to go for the unicorn
