A video of Jaxie's water therapy session. A Caring Place Humane Society was contacted to rescue a 4 year old male Great Dane scheduled for euthanasia in a Mississippi pound. We talked to the folks there and saw videos and it appeared that Jaxie had a bad case of hip dyplasia. We transported him up north to Chicago, he saw our vet and it was diagnosed that Jaxie had two bad knees. Jaxie has had his first knee surgery and is now in physical therapy. We estimate that Jaxie's physical therapy will continue through January 2010 and after that the 2nd knee surgery will take place followed by more therapy. Jaxie should be available for adoption in April 2010.
