Former Google DeepMind communications chief Dex Hunter-Torricke warns that the greatest challenges posed by artificial intelligence may extend far beyond the safety of AI systems themselves.

Having worked with Elon Musk at SpaceX, Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook, and Google DeepMind, Hunter-Torricke argues that the public debate is overlooking some of AI's most consequential societal risks.
