00:00Parable of the Lamp Under the Bushel
00:03A small, sunlit village called Luz do Vale.
00:08There lived a kind carpenter named Elias.
00:12Elias was known for his skill in creating beautiful wooden objects.
00:18But also for his kindness and wisdom.
00:21In his hut, a special lamp always burned.
00:25Made of clay and fed with pure olive oil.
00:29This lamp not only illuminated Elijah's home.
00:33But it also guided travelers who got lost in the darkness of the night.
00:39Elijah taught everyone that the light of the lamp represented goodness.
00:45The honesty and love that each one carried within themselves.
00:50The light in our hearts, he said, is meant to be shared with the world.
00:56To warm and illuminate everyone's lives.
01:01Around us, in the village, there also lived a man named Samuel.
01:07A rich but very stingy merchant
01:10Samuel was afraid that people would find out how selfish he was.
01:16That is why he hid his lamp.
01:19Less, that is, the small spark of kindness that still remained in his heart.
01:27Underneath a bushel, a large basket used for measuring grain.
01:32Samuel thought that if no one saw his light
01:35He wouldn't need to share his treasures.
01:38Not caring about others.
01:40One day, a great storm struck the light of the valley.
01:46The sky darkened.
01:48The thunder roared.
01:50And the torrential rain flooded the streets.
01:54Many villagers lost their homes and were left homeless.
01:59Desperate, they sought help.
02:03Elijah, with his lamp shining brightly
02:07He opened the doors of his cabin to everyone.
02:11He offered food and dry clothes.
02:14And a safe place to take shelter from the storm.
02:18The light of Elijah's lamp
02:21It warmed the hearts of those in need.
02:24And He gave them hope.
02:25Samuel, hidden in his big house
02:28He heard the cries for help.
02:30But he remained indifferent.
02:33He thought
02:34If I open my home, I will have to share my food and my possessions.
02:40It's better to stay here, safe and protected.
02:44Meanwhile, Elijah's lamp continued to shine.
02:48Guiding more and more people to their cabin.
02:52Even some of Samuel's neighbors
02:56Who were also in difficulty
02:59They went to look for help.
03:01With Elias
03:03Upon seeing the kindness of Elijah
03:05A tiny spark of curiosity
03:08It awoke from Samuel's heart.
03:11He peeked out the window.
03:13And saw Elijah's cabin lit up
03:15And full of smiling people.
03:18And singing
03:19Despite the storm
03:21Samuel felt a tightness in his chest.
03:24A mixture of envy and remorse.
03:27That night, while the storm was still raging outside
03:31Samuel couldn't sleep.
03:33He felt restless and uncomfortable.
03:37The image of Elijah's tent.
03:40Shining in the darkness
03:42It won't leave your head.
03:45He began to wonder.
03:47Otherwise, you would be missing something important.
04:19By hiding its light
04:21He felt ashamed.
04:22Upon realizing how selfish he had been
04:25He approached Elijah and said
04:28Elias, I need to ask for your forgiveness.
04:31I hid my light under a bushel.
04:33And I didn't help anyone during the storm.
04:36I was a fool.
04:38Elias smiled at Samuel and replied
04:41Samuel, we all make mistakes.
04:44The important thing is to acknowledge our mistakes.
04:48And try to do good.
04:50The light never goes out.
04:51She just needs to be set free.
04:54With the help of Elias
04:56Samuel took out the bushel
04:58From atop his lamp
05:01To his surprise
05:02The lamp was still lit.
05:05Although she was weak
05:07And if you needed olive oil
05:09Samuel filled the lamp with pure oil.
05:12And little by little
05:14The light began to shine more brightly.
05:17From that day on
05:19Samuel became a different man.
05:21He opened his home to those in need.
05:24He shared his treasures with the poor.
05:27And he joined Elijah.
05:29To help rebuild the village
05:33The light in your heart
05:34That was previously hidden
05:36Now it shone brightly.
05:38Illuminating the lives of everyone around you.
05:41And so
05:42The village of light in the valley
05:44It became even brighter.
05:46And welcoming
05:48Showing that the light of will
05:50When shared
05:52It can transform the world.
05:54And to warm everyone's hearts.
05:57And everyone learned.
05:58It's no use hiding the lamp.
06:02Under the bushel
06:04For the true light
06:07It is the one that shines for everyone.
06:09That's all for today.
06:11But don't worry.
06:12We'll be back soon.
