00:00:24And now that people have started asking me about mine, I think it's time to leave.

00:00:33But, but, what a ride it's been, it truly has.
00:00:35We made memories and we made memes.
00:00:38Stars came here, let their guard down and very, very thoughtfully put their feet straight into their respective mouths.

00:00:48and celebrities discover that the most dangerous thing in Bollywood isn't a flop, no, it's a rapid fire round.
00:00:54And now we have just one last season to keep things crackling.
00:00:58I have to uphold the time on a tradition of the show and ask the questions that truly matter.

00:04:23I come? Because firstly, I couldn't believe you were even asking me to come to narrate the film.
00:04:27No, because Alvira had already informed me. Yeah. And you know how I feel about your mom and your dad.

00:04:34So I'm going to tell you a story of your dad, Sohail and me. So Tom Uncle, we called him
00:04:40because he was very close to the government in Mauritius.

00:04:44So he shot some films there earlier. So we called him for, I think it was, Hello Brother.

00:04:50Then we said, Tom Uncle, you're very close to the boys in Mauritius, not the film industry and stuff like

00:05:00He said, yeah, okay, I'll see you in Mauritius.
00:05:02We spoke to him on a Tuesday. Wednesday night, he has called up Sohail and me. And he said, yeah,
00:05:08what all did you want from here?
00:05:11So I said, from where Tom Uncle? He said, from Mauritius. I'm sitting in Mauritius. I'm sitting with the government
00:05:15and I'm speaking to them.
00:05:17So, tell him what you want. He flew to Mauritius the next night to get this clear.
00:05:24Yeah. They don't make them like that anymore. No chance.
00:05:28And I remember my dad, Salim Sahib, Javed Sahib, together in my house. I have memories. And the fact that,
00:05:35you know, the relationship continues.
00:05:37I think that generation, they don't make like that anymore.
00:05:41And every time your father came home, calm ho, nahi. I mean, calm to the time you spoke. I think
00:05:46only Dostana, Dostana ke baad, kabhi kuchh kam nahi tha.

00:05:49So every time he came home, he came home with an alcohol bottle for my father.

00:05:55That was him. And I remember that when I came to the set to narrate it, you were shooting for

00:06:03And I arrived at 2 p.m. You said 2 to 10 ka shifteh. And then at 9 o'clock,
00:06:07you said, come home and narrate the film to me.
00:06:10And you had Salman, just for everyone to know this, Salman stayed, like the family stayed together.
00:06:15There was Arbaaz, Suhail, Salman, Salmanti, Salim Sahib, everyone. And you had the tiniest room.
00:06:21And you had one closet, one cupboard, one bed. And I was shocked because I'm like, yeh Salman Khan ka
00:06:27kamra hai.
00:06:28And I entered and you sat then, you removed all your clothes and you were in yellow shorts.
00:06:32So I said, he should not think I'm looking at him in any other way. So I started narrating the
00:06:36film.
00:06:36But you know that room, I never stayed there alone.
00:06:39Yeah.
00:06:40I stayed there with somebody, jis ko me na kabhi dekha hai nahi. Sif suna hai. Sif mahusus ki aai
00:06:47piche hai.
00:06:48Who?
00:06:50So every time I came out, the lights used to go on and off.
00:06:55What?
00:06:55Yeah, the cupboards used to open up. The music used to come on.
00:06:59Then the bathroom, I could feel somebody outside.
00:07:02You know, fidgeting with the cupboards and I used to open it.
00:07:04And then I figured out that there was somebody there, something there.
00:07:07You felt it was like haunted?
00:07:09Yeah, yeah.
00:07:09No, not haunted. I mean, there was a presence felt there by me.
00:07:13And then so every time I put on some music and I could feel it right behind me.
00:07:17And I would say that, kya music shunna pasant kare hai haap? What kind of music?
00:07:22And I said, just press any button. I used to walk out.
00:07:25What?
00:07:25So there was a billiard table outside.
00:07:27Yeah.
00:07:27Earlier.
00:07:28Yeah, yeah.
00:07:28When we used to play billiards, we could hear, you know, somebody inside.
00:07:33And this didn't fit you out?
00:07:34Music on ho gaya.
00:07:35No, no.

00:07:37It didn't do anything.
00:07:38So my only request was that if you're a really, really beautiful woman, then you show yourself to me.
00:07:46But I narrated the first half of the film staring at another wall.

00:07:52You were hearing me very intensely.
00:07:54And then you got up at interval.
00:07:56And you said, okay, I'm doing the film.
00:07:58So I said, uh, and I got stressed because I had only narrated Shah Rukh's part.
00:08:03There was no, you hadn't arrived.
00:08:05So I said, but Salman, your part hasn't yet come.
00:08:09But, you know, Karan, even before you had come to narrate it to me, no matter how bad it was,
00:08:15I had to decide my mind, no matter how bad it is, I'm going to do it.

00:08:20I mean, there was nothing.

00:09:13And I was like, I was so flummoxed because I'd never experienced something like this.
00:09:18And then the funniest thing happened.
00:09:20We were, we started the schedule with Sajanji Gharai.
00:09:22And you were doing a double shift in those days.

00:09:25You were shooting for Hamdil Dejo Kisanam.
00:09:27A BV number one.
00:09:28And for Kuch Kuch.
00:09:30Okay, they were all simultaneous.
00:09:31You were shooting the Patang Wala Gaana.

00:09:33And every day you would tell me, and this is really funny.
00:09:36Every day you would tell me, what a song Sanjay Leela Mansali is shooting.

00:09:41So I was like, anyway, it was my first film and I was getting very, because when I was shooting
00:09:45with Shah Rukh, he was telling me about Dil Se.
00:09:48And you were telling me about Hamdil.
00:09:50So I was shooting the Patang Wala Gaana.
00:09:53I was shooting BV number one, BV number one.
00:09:56And then you were shooting Sajanji Gharai.
00:09:57And then I was shooting this one as well.
00:09:59So when I used to go to Sanjay Saad, I used to say, what a song Karan is shooting.
00:10:05And David, you know, what a song is shooting.
00:10:08And the funniest thing is one day Sanjay Mansali came on and I said, looking up and down like that.
00:10:12And I'm thinking, what a song is shooting, Bansali.
00:10:15What a song is shooting.
00:10:17And Sanjay Mansali came on and said, you know, Salman told me you're shooting an outstanding song.
00:10:21I said, but he's telling me you're shooting an outstanding song.
00:10:24So it was really quite hilarious to see Bansali walk in, check out my set.
00:10:29While I really wanted to go and check out his Patang Wala Song Ke Ka Kar Rai.
00:10:32And you were this person and you were just, like, it was crazy.
00:10:37And your DP and your DP.
00:10:38You know, and then the funniest thing happened.
00:10:40He shot the whole song in high speed.
00:10:42No, he shot one.
00:10:44You were going to catch a flight for Jab Piyar Kisi Se Hota Hai.
00:10:48It was a big outdoor and it was our last shoot on set and climax.
00:10:53And this is the end of the film where there's Shah Rukh, there's Salman Khan, there's Rani Mukherjee as a
00:10:58ghost.
00:10:59There's Karjal, there's Reema Laguji, there's Anupam, there's Farida Jalal.
00:11:04Combination.
00:11:04And we've shot an entire day in slow motion.
00:11:08Because the cameraman forgot to put the lever up to 24.
00:11:11And for those days, we couldn't tell you.
00:11:13I run to your house in the middle of the night.
00:11:15And you're all ready to go to Switzerland.
00:11:17And I meet you and I said, Salman, please stay back one more day.
00:11:21We have shot an entire day in slow motion in 48 frames.
00:11:25And you laughed and you said, I'll see you tomorrow.
00:11:27And you arrived and we shot the whole day again.
00:11:29And every time you would face the camera, you would look at the DP and say 48 frames.
00:11:35You would say 48 frames.
00:11:36And, like, you know, when I look at those days, Salman,
00:11:40like everybody who had a certain togetherness,
00:11:43a certain kind of camaraderie, a certain fraternity feeling.
00:11:47I mean, God, today actors are dealing with publicists and PR.
00:11:51No, but depends on who actors you're talking about.
00:11:54With us, it's still the same.
00:11:56Yeah.
00:11:57With us, it's still the same.
00:11:58Nothing has changed.
00:11:59Even when the PR tells us that we'll do this, we'll do this, we'll do this.

00:13:35It's almost like this order of illustrious gentlemen,
00:13:39Akshay, Ajay, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan,
00:13:43just holding forth.
00:13:44Today, the biggest successes are still coming from all of you.
00:13:48What do you have to say about,

00:18:54when we had gone in 2000 for shows
