00:00Let's check it out with Rochelle for tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Deesha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Let's get right to your weather.
00:07Starting with conditions tonight, expect mostly fair conditions despite isolated showers,
00:13with temperatures dropping to 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago. But while conditions
00:18will be cool tonight, tomorrow's weather will have you topping up on your sunscreen
00:23and refilling your water bottles because the day will be hot and sunny. The Met Office says
00:29there will also be party cloudy interruptions with showers that can't get heavy in western areas.
00:36Thursday's daytime temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
00:41And for the next couple of days, well, let's just say you will need an umbrella,
00:47but not exactly for the rain, but definitely to give you extra shade from the hot sun.
00:53With temperatures reaching 34 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago,
00:57Friday and Saturday are expected to be mostly hot and sunny days with a few cloudy periods and some
01:04showers popping up here and there. Speaking of the sun, here's when she will rise and shine.
01:10In Trinidad, sunrises at 554 and 551 in Tobago and sunset at 549 in Trinidad and 545 in Tobago.
01:18And the beach is always a good place to be when it's sunny. So if you're headed there tomorrow,
01:23seas will be slight to moderate with waves 1 meter to 1.5 meters in open waters and below 1
01:29meter choppy
01:30near showers in sheltered areas. It's now time for your Thai Times.
01:43Turning to the eastern Pacific, tropical storm Trudy is strengthening and is expected to become a
01:50hurricane with further intensification possible over the next few days. The system is moving west-northwest
01:57over the Pacific, but southwestern and west-central Mexico will need to monitor its progress as it
02:04could approach the coast later this week into the weekend. Heavy rainfall, flooding, strong winds
02:10and dangerous coastal conditions are among the main concerns. And Hurricane Simon, also in the
02:17eastern Pacific, has weakened into a Category 1 hurricane, packing maximum sustained winds of
02:23around 19 miles per hour as it drifts slowly southwest of Mexico. A lot of activity happening
02:30in the Pacific. Now remember yesterday we spoke about opening your windows when it's cooler outside
02:36to let some fresh air in? Well today we're looking at what to do when the temperatures start climbing
02:42when it's hot outside. Did you know keeping your windows closed and pulling your curtains or blinds
02:48can help stop the sun from heating up your home? Blackout curtains are a good
02:53option because they block out sunlight and those with a thermal lining can help reduce the amount
02:59of heat coming inside. So let that cool breeze in when temperatures drop but when the afternoon sun
03:05starts blazing, close things up and keep some of the heat outside. Well now you know and that's all
03:12for weather tonight but don't go just yet because sports is up next.
03:17.
