00:00Our support for Ukraine has clearly been working with our partners across the world,
00:05but also bilaterally with Ukraine.
00:07One thing it does support, though, of course, is increased spending on defence.
00:11We need to get to 3% of GDP spend, increase expenditure right now,
00:16because when we provide support for Ukraine, it does deplete our own armaments, of course.
00:23So we need to spend more now.
00:24And what we've seen from this Labour government is deflection and delay in terms of producing a defence investment plan
00:33and in terms of properly funding that.
00:34Now, what we'll see at the budget at the end of this month will be interesting.
00:38John Healy, who was previously defence secretary, of course,
00:41and resigned because his defence plans weren't being properly funded.
00:45Interesting to see exactly what he does.
00:47Our suspicion is that can will yet again be kicked down the road,
00:51which is very bad for Ukraine's interests and very bad for the UK's interests.
