00:03The man who was horrifyingly mauled to death by a tiger at a UK zoo has been identified to have
00:09been a former child actor, and even starred alongside a Harry Potter actress. William Chapman
00:14can be seen in uncovered footage starring in the British show May Contain Nuts, alongside
00:20Shirley Henderson, known for her role as Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter franchise.
00:35The newly resurfaced clips come just days after Chapman was mauled to death by a tiger after
00:41jumping into its enclosure and taunted the big cat to come and kill him, according to
00:45harrowing eyewitness accounts. Several people had noticed Chapman as the 20-year-old walked
00:50around Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster, England on Saturday, October 10th. He was
00:56pacing around with his headphones in and happily dancing, witnesses said, with one even catching
01:01audio of him asking her to take a photo of him with the Siberian tiger behind him.
01:06Excuse me, can you grab and show myself with the tiger?
01:09Yes.
01:11I'm going to grab those.
01:13One more, one more, one more, one more, one more, one more, one more.
01:19Shortly after, as Chapman started climbing the fence, a woman close to him tried to stop
01:24him but wasn't strong enough to hold him back, witness Anthony Hunt told The Telegraph.
01:29Eerie footage purporting to be filmed by Chapman himself inside the enclosure then shows Altai,
01:34the Siberian tiger that mauled him to death, lying atop a wooden platform.
01:39Oh, my God.
01:41Oh, my God.
01:42Oh, my God.
01:45The young man then got down on his knees in front of the tiger as if he was praying and
01:50bowing down to the 420-pound animal before he started taunting it, Hunt told The Times of London.
01:56He had his arms wide open like he was saying, come here, tiger, kill me, the horrified onlooker
02:01recalled. Further shocking footage shows Chapman yelling no and stop repeatedly at Altai as the
02:08fully grown tiger lunged at him in front of horrified families and children.
02:17According to witnesses, the tiger eventually grabbed a hold of Chapman's neck and began to
02:22drag him in a bloody scene. Park workers fired two warning shots into the air with a shotgun to
02:28scare off Altai and try to reach Chapman. Paramedics were scrambled to the zoo just
02:33after 1.30 p.m. local time, but Chapman was pronounced dead at the scene, with staff working
02:38quickly to evacuate the park. Yorkshire Wildlife Park remained closed the following day. Park
02:44authorities revealed on Monday that Altai was safe and well, and confirmed he would not be
02:49euthanized following the attack.
