Twenty-four-year-old mining heiress Summer Hayes is forced by her father into an arranged marriage with Preston Locke, the older heir of the powerful Locke family, whom she has never met. Both flee the wedding. Heartbroken, Summer hires a cold stranger at a bar for a one-night companion—only to later discover he is her mysterious billionaire husband, Preston. At Zenith Corporation, her strict new boss, hidden legal husband, and pestering ex-boyfriend turn out to be the same man. Preston plays along as her assistant while secretly clearing every scheme from her father, ex, stepmother, and fake white moonlight. Through countless counterattacks, the abandoned heiress becomes a powerful queen and takes over the Hayes Group. When the truth is revealed, Preston gives her a long-overdue wedding and a hand-polished gem ring, beginning a passionate wife-chasing redemption.

31:20the second some old flame shows up they completely lose their heads
31:24now don't go painting us all with the same brush
31:25though back in school preston and elaine were quite the infamous pair
31:29two people who owed each other a great deal

31:34what they owed each other was a life
31:41preston and elaze
31:42professor whitley mentored them both hands on
31:45they were the golden couple on campus the two brain ears who racked up every award you could name side
31:50by side
31:50the two of them hand in hand won so many awards their hands grew weary
31:55but on that last field expedition before graduation
31:57preston went hunting for the perfect gemstone for elaine
32:00pushed straight into a mountain range no one dared set foot in
32:05and of all days
