00:00This is how you create a sales drop warning mechanism as shown on the screen here.
00:04The first thing you have to do is to insert a sparkline.
00:07Select the first row of records like this.
00:09Then you go to insert.
00:10Under sparkline, select lines here.
00:13And then under location, click on this button here.
00:16Click on F5 here or wherever you want to insert your sparkline to.
00:20And hit on the enter key twice on your keyboard.
00:23After that, apply the same sparkline to the rest of the row like this.
00:26Now, to identify the bad actors, you're going to select your sparkline like this.
00:31Then you're going to go to home, style, conditional formatting.
00:35You're going to say new rules.
00:37On this pop-up here, you're going to select use formula.
00:40And in this formula, you're going to say equal and open parenthesis.
00:44And basically, you're going to highlight E5, which is March data, which is smaller.
00:50If E5 is smaller than your D5, that's your first argument in your end statement.
00:54And then your second argument would be D5 smaller than C5, close parenthesis.
01:03And next, what you're going to do is that you're going to go ahead and remove this fixed reference here,
01:07the dollar sign.
01:08So you're going to place your cursor in any of this cell range here and press F4 three times.
01:12One, two, three.
01:13That will get rid of the dollar sign.
01:15Do the same thing for the rest of the cell location like this.
01:19And make your formula look something like that.
01:22Once that's done, click on the format button.
01:25Make sure you select it on the fill tab here.
01:28And select whatever color you want to highlight the bad actor.
01:32I'm going to highlight as red.
01:34And click on OK twice like this.
01:37And there you go.
