00:00Do you think an eight-year-old is capable of making that decision?
00:03She's almost. She's a very, she's a very strong little lady and this is what she wanted.
00:12Today we got justice for Elizabeth. The coercion and the manipulation Brendan used to control
00:18not only his own family but mine is the most unforgivable and disgusting abuse of people's
00:25vulnerability. As we move on from this chapter in our lives we'll begin to heal. Elizabeth was a young
00:33bright girl with big dreams of helping others like her with diabetes. Her kind soul and infectious
00:39laughter will forever hold a place in our hearts as we remember her.
00:44We're talking about a young girl. I know you will always divert us. Why don't you talk about all the
00:49young girls that have died in hospital this year? We're talking about this girl. Yeah well this girl
00:53did pass. That's exactly right. That's right. She passed because she just trusted in God and the
00:58Lord allowed her to pass. And the many that trusted the medical system they often pass as well but
01:04with the suffering of not being with their family. And I've never trusted the medical system since
01:08the earliest days I can remember. My daughter's had diabetes as you know for the last couple of years
01:13since she was six years old. Yep. And um she has hated it her whole since ever getting it because
01:22she hates the needles and everything like that. And um so on Monday she decided she'd had enough so I
01:33haven't given her insulin since Monday and yesterday she just fell asleep and passed away.
01:43So we obviously believed in God as you can tell and we expect him to bring her back and that's
01:51what happened. Nothing else.
01:53Yeah. She just had enough and believed in God and said he was going to heal her and so I
02:00just it's it's a hard thing to deal with with the diabetes. It's it's a tough life for a little
02:06kid.
02:06And um she's one tough warrior and and the world can't heal her because she's got to do it for
02:13her whole life and and she wanted to have a go without the insulin so this is where we ended
02:17up.
02:18Yeah. Yeah and Kerry went away and I um completely probably had a mental breakdown I suppose dealing with everything.
02:25Trying to work and leave everything to my um 18 year old son to deal with.
02:31I had to work to provide for the family. Um and I broke down um he actually broke down crying
02:38and and that broke my heart. And uh I asked him for some help.
02:45Well I said and we prayed and God took my anger away which I had not had taken away since
02:52I was I cannot remember. And I'm not angry now. I'm not upset. I'm at peace. And I received the
03:00Holy Spirit and I believe in God.
03:02And we are so happy and we are so happy and peaceful and everything can it just changed me and
03:10that's just what happened. And now I do believe and and but it wasn't an easy decision to do what
03:20Elizabeth wanted but believing in God or I believe he would have healed it as well and will. So.
03:26Mm-hmm.
03:27Mm-hmm.
