00:11:46And that worked for a while until the crows got smart.
00:11:50So then Hathaway began to poison them.
00:11:55Hathaway believed that the crows were sent by the devil to destroy the town's livelihood.
00:12:01And Satan's spawn have come to destroy our harvest.
00:12:08To destroy our livelihood.
00:12:12And you must cast them out.
00:12:15You must save us.
00:12:18Sacrifices must be made to the Lord to protect us from this black winged hellspawn.
00:12:31Hathaway was desperate.
00:12:34So he began to sacrifice the town's sinners in hopes to appease his God.
00:12:39He would dress his victors up like scarecrows and nail them up in his fields.

00:13:36And all this kid is supposed to do is to see if anyone's still alive.
00:13:40Instead, this kid tells the people of liberty everything.
00:13:45So the men of liberty go to Hathaway's farm.
00:13:48And then they drag him out of the shelter.
00:13:52And then they nail him up on a post in his own field.
00:14:01Just like he had done to his victims.
00:14:16The Lord's work will be done.
00:14:20It will be done.
00:14:24And then they burned him alive.
00:14:41Rumor has it, nothing grows on that spot where they buried Hathaway's body.
