00:00Did you know there are dozens of books that were left out of the Bible on purpose?
00:05They are called the Apocrypha and the Lost Gospels, and some of them are wild.
00:11Take the Book of Enoch.
00:12It describes fallen angels coming to earth, teaching humans forbidden magic, and creating
00:18giants that ate everything.
00:20The early church thought it was too strange and too dark to include.
00:25Then there is the Gospel of Thomas.
00:27It claims to be secret sayings of Jesus himself.
00:31No miracles, no crucifixion story, just 114 mysterious teachings.
00:37It was rejected because it didn't match the other four Gospels.
00:41And then there is the Gospel of Mary Magdalene.
00:44In this one, Mary is portrayed as the closest disciple to Jesus, with knowledge the other
00:50disciples didn't have.
00:51Many scholars believe it was excluded because it challenged the authority of the male apostles.
00:57So why were they really removed?
01:00The leaders wanted one unified story.
01:02But the question is, what else are we not being told?
