00:00Conditions are deteriorating here on Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
00:04We expect a major storm surge of seven to nine feet approaching this area.
00:09You can see angry seas already out here from the beach.
00:13This storm surge, when the eyewall comes in this evening, is likely going to overtop the
00:18barrier island out here.
00:19You can see waves will be on top of that storm surge, so the water will at least be a
00:24couple
00:24of feet deep here on the barrier islands, Fort Walton Beach.
00:28We are also tracking a tornado threat in the outer bands of this hurricane.
00:32There's a couple of supercells just southeast of Caravelle, Florida, near the Florida Big
00:37Bend region.
00:38Likely strong, ongoing supercell water spouts approaching the shoreline there.
00:42A tornado watch is in effect for this area as the mid-level clear slot is working around
00:48the inner floor of the hurricane.
00:50Down here, winds are beginning to increase, starting to get some flowing sand out on the
00:55beach here.
00:57We are watching for supercell storms in the outer bands out here, but conditions are going
01:01to deteriorate through landfall.
01:04Expect it later this evening, about 8 to 10 p.m., maybe a little bit later than that.
01:08And we are targeting that eastern eyewall, where it makes a nine degree angle with the coastline.
01:13That's what we expect, the strongest storm surge.
01:16That's what we expect, the most recent storm surge.
01:17Was it most recent?
