The bodyguard 🐾🐱

Pearl's getting on now — a frail little thing. And the new puppy? A total whirlwind. All that bouncing and pouncing was just too much for her, and she'd started hiding away to escape it. 🐱

But Bear saw what was happening.

He'd step right between them — a big, gentle wall — and take all that puppy energy onto himself instead. Now, wherever Pearl rests, he keeps watch nearby, intercepting the little tornado every time, so she can finally relax out in the open again. 🥹

When you're old and fragile, a houseful of young energy can be a frightening place. But not for her — because the big dog became her bodyguard. He gives her a calm, safe little world to just be old in peace.

Nobody taught him. He just decided the old girl had earned her quiet… and he'd protect it. 💛
