He could beat the old boy in a heartbeat but he never does 🥹🐾

Duke used to be the undefeated tug-of-war champion of this house. Nobody could beat him. But he's old now — slow, stiff, so much weaker. And Rocky is twice his strength. 🐾

One real pull and it'd be over. He knows it. You can see it.

And then… he eases off. Every game. Every single time. Right at the end, he just lets go — and the old boy trots off with the rope, head high, tail going wild. 🥹

He could beat him in a heartbeat. But he never has. Not once.

Nobody taught him that. He just decided Duke had been strong for long enough — and now it was his turn to be kind. 💛
