During an exclusive interview, American actor and filmmaker Stanley Tucci opened up about his role in 'Masterplan', exploring the fine line between control, trust, and deception when family and crime collide. He reflected on the unpredictability of life, his journey across acting, directing and food, and whether every role needs a master plan or room for unexpected surprises. He also imagined his very own Stanley Tucci India master plan, blending cinema, culture, food and meaningful encounters.

00:00hi stanley amazing film we got a we got a glance to i mean we got a chance to watch
00:04it
00:05and the best part about roger is um he's mastered the art of you know controlling situations but
00:13what i really want to know is what happens to a character like that when the people he has to
00:18control are also the people he loves when the when what when uh what happens to a character
00:25like that when the people he has to control are also the people he loves oh it's a mess
00:32it turns into a mess just like parenting
00:38this film's also a little about contradiction you know a heist depends on absolute trust
00:43but then you know the character's entire relationship is like built on secrets and
00:47deception with his children so how did you play that contradiction well you have to play it
00:53everything that he says to them he has to make them believe it so and therefore the audience has
01:01to believe it that's all also uh did working on a master plan change did working on master plan
01:10change the way you think about the idea of a master plan be it whether in art life or human
01:15relationships
01:18yeah i i would i would never have as many secrets
01:23doesn't work also every time you come on screen you up your own ante you up your own game so
01:30do you
01:30like have a master plan for your own characters or do you like let a little happy accident happen now
01:36and then no accidents have to happen that's sort of the point of acting and filmmaking is that
01:42things can become spontaneous so you have the master plan is the script but that plan gets
01:49gets altered slightly day day by day also it would be wrong that you've aced i think almost everything
01:58be it you know acting directing or even in the art of food i must say so what's left in
02:04your master
02:04plan i don't know i don't know i'd like to do some artwork i'd like to direct a play again
02:12i'm not quite
02:13sure also um if you had to design a stanley tucci india master plan so what would that be like
02:22would
02:22it one film one city one meal and one person what would that be india yep i have no i
02:31have no idea i've
02:33never been to india i have no idea so no idea no idea no idea but someday i'll i'll let
02:40you know
02:42also lastly like if you look out look at your life as a master plan how much did it actually
02:47work out for you some of it worked out some of it didn't i'm almost done with my interview what
02:56would you like to add is there anything you'd like to add to this oh yeah i think that i
