00:06Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the characters we're hoping
00:11will show up in the MCU, and honestly, should have already.
00:22Number 10, Beta Ray Bill
00:24I was chosen to be the guardian of my people, and underwent.
00:31Modification. I became Beta Ray Bill.
00:36He has a statue on the Grandmaster's Tower, and Thor wields his axe, but we have yet to see this
00:41Corbinite in the flesh.
00:42Beta Ray Bill first appeared in the comics as an alien worthy of lifting Mjolnir.
00:46Odin was so impressed by his prowess that he gifted him an enchanted hammer of his own.
00:51He's since been an ally to the Avengers, Asgardians, X-Men, Inhumans, and Guardians of the Galaxy.
00:57Hulk, I know of you.
01:00The halls of Asgard echo with tales of your rage.
01:03They ain't heard nothing yet.
01:10We don't know if this heavy hitter will ever be in the MCU, or if Thor will give Stormbreaker to
01:14its rightful owner.
01:15At least you can see him on screen in Planet Hulk and Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
01:18Face the wrath of Stormbreaker!
01:27Number 9. Valeria Richards
01:30First Steps already introduced Reed and Sue's first child, Franklin Richards.
01:34Any Fantastic Four fan knows that his sister's birth won't be long now, but her origin from the comics is
01:40pretty complicated.
01:40We won't get too deep into the shenanigans of her backstory here.
01:44What's important to know is that her most defining traits are her vast intellect, moral flexibility, and fierce love for
01:49her family.
01:50She may not have powers, but her mind rivals that of her father's, and she's helped save the world countless
01:55times with the Fantastic Four.
01:56Sometimes she's even had to reach out to her beloved godfather for help, Doctor Doom.
02:01Hopefully, she joins the MCU's first family, and gives an unpredictable edge to the team.
02:06Number 8. Kesar
02:08Your kind have enslaved the peoples of the Savage Land. Take me to your master, or you will pay for
02:14your crimes.
02:15Look, Nature Boy, there's some guys on my tail. I got no time for conversation.
02:21This Tarzan-esque character is not your typical hero, but he's a fierce hunter who can stand alongside even the
02:27toughest Supes.
02:28Raised in the Savage Land by the saber-toothed cat, Zabu, Kesar grew to become the protector of the dinosaur
02:33-infested island.
02:34He often encounters heroes of the outside world, and serves as their guide in the Savage Land.
02:39Maybe we'll see him team up with Spider-Man.
02:42Put down your toys!
02:46Kesar, wait! We're not here to fight you, we're here to talk!
02:49Given the X-Men's history with the Savage Land, they may encounter its resident caveman and his sidekick Tiger in
02:55the near future.
02:56You must remain here, Zabu.
03:00If we do not return, avenge us!
03:04Number 7. Jericho Drum, a.k.a. Dr. Voodoo.
03:08I was in the library in Arthax, and then there was this explosion.
03:13I saw them, in the astral plane. They're here. Stay where you are, whenever they become your no-match for.
03:30As much as we love Dr. Strange and Wong, there still seems to be a lack of notable sorcerers in
03:35the MCU.
03:36That could be fixed by finally introducing Jericho Drum.
03:38First appearing in 1973, this Haitian psychologist learned magic to avenge his brother Daniel, later earning the moniker Brother Voodoo.
03:46With his ability to commune with the dead, and use Daniel's soul to boost his strength, he served as New
03:51Orleans' guardian, and later replaced Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme.
03:55Perhaps his greatest moment was when he killed the almighty Agamotto in his own realm, and saved the world.
04:01Someone with a history that's this epic should have been on the big screen a long time ago.
04:05Number 6, Jessica Drew, a.k.a. Spider Woman.
04:09Spider Woman.
04:10Me too.
04:13Are you, uh...
04:15Oh, this?
04:16We don't know the sex yet.
04:17My husband wants it to be a surprise.
04:20He's really corny, but so hot.
04:23Will you adopt me?
04:24What?
04:25What?
04:25Guys, can we focus on the live fire-breathing dread to time and space, please?
04:29Across the Spider-Verse already features a version of this heroine, but that one's far from an accurate portrayal.
04:34You may be surprised to learn that Jessica Drew isn't heavily connected to Spider-Man.
04:38She's had a few retcons to her origin, but the most streamlined version is that she was imbued with spider
04:43DNA by her parents,
04:44leading to her recruitment into the evil HYDRA organization.
04:47Her bioelectric powers and pheromone manipulation made her their perfect assassin,
04:51but her moral integrity overrode their conditioning, forcing her to find a new purpose alone.
04:56This led to countless adventures as a private investigator, an Avenger, a Skrull abductee, and eventually a single mother.
05:02Someone with this much going on could have limitless potential in the MCU.
05:07Hey, I'm Miles. We actually met before, when I was invisible.
05:10I know who you are.
05:11Number 5. Blue Marvel
05:13While attempting to harness negative zone energy, Adam Brashear was caught in an explosion that made him a living anti
05:20-matter reactor.
05:21He would then operate as the hero Blue Marvel, until the public learned he was African American in the year
05:261962.
05:27JFK rewarded him with the Medal of Freedom, but forced him to retire due to the tense racial climate of
05:32the time.
05:32He later returned to the fold as a member of the Defenders and Illuminati.
05:36He also led a version of the Ultimates, a task force that peacefully ended cosmic threats before they could reach
05:42Earth.
05:42Although he hasn't had many appearances, his story is a powerful one that could work as a period piece that
05:47bleeds into modern day.
05:49Number 4. Magic
05:51Illyana!
06:03Illyana!
06:04Illyana!
06:06No!
06:16We all know that the X-Men will be coming to the MCU, but it remains unclear if they'll feature
06:21this teleporting sorceress.
06:22Forcibly raised in the hellish dimensions of Limbo, Illyana Rasputin grew up to become its queen, while learning to control
06:29her demons.
06:30And when we say demons, we mean literally.
06:32Over the years, she's learned to be a hero with the help of her brother Colossus, the New Mutants, Doctor
06:38Strange, and her iconic Soul Sword.
06:40Her combination of magic and mutant abilities has since made her a mainstay of the X-Men's core cast.
06:45Her quick rise to fan-favorite across video games has also made her an easy pick for a movie.
06:50They might as well bring back Anya Taylor-Joy, too.
06:54Where the hell did you go?
06:59They're a special place.
07:00Number 3, Squirrel Girl
07:03Squirrels love burritos.
07:06Okay, fine.
07:07But the squirrels stay here.
07:09Even Monkey Joe?
07:12Two words.
07:13Pistachio incident.
07:17You're still innocent, my guys.
07:20Doreen Green is already popular in animation and video games, and was even set to appear in a live-action
07:25show.
07:25So it's about time this oddball finally got her own project.
07:28She started out as a niche character, but over the years, her bizarre powers, light-hearted attitude, and over-the
07:34-top feats of charmed readers.
07:36A college student with a big, bushy tail, the proportional physical abilities of a human-sized squirrel, and the ability
07:41to talk to actual squirrels.
07:42She uses all three of these powers to fight crime as the unbeatable Squirrel Girl.
07:46Dude, did you just give away my secret identity?
07:50What?
07:50Some may wonder how someone as campy as her could fit into the MCU.
07:54However, a talking raccoon and a hippo goddess have already been featured at this point.
07:58A girl who can befriend Galactus and beat Doctor Doom with squirrels shouldn't be too far-fetched for audiences now.
08:03She can really fit into any story, so it shouldn't be long before we see her join the new Avengers
08:08or Great Lakes Avengers.
08:09Squirrel Girl, Thor, Odinson, and Lookie's combined efforts send Ratatoskr back to Asgard and break the mind-control spell, saving
08:16the world.
08:17Number 2.
08:18Black Cat
08:19But if you're fed up enough with the thankless hero thing to match your image to mine, then I have
08:24to ask.
08:25Are we going to be bad guys together, partner?
08:28Or just plain bad?
08:31Was it something I said?
08:33With Spider-Man's love life always in flux, it's surprising that this femme fatale has yet to appear.
08:39Yes, Felicia Hardy technically was in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but that was little more than a cameo.
08:44What fans really want to see is the anti-hero flirting with Spider-Man while stealing from right under his
08:49nose.
08:50So, you swinging solo now?
08:53We're back with your ex.
08:54That's a lot of questions.
08:56I'm just curious.
08:58Yeah, I hear that's bad for cats.
09:00I bet you tell me why you're really here.
09:01I was just waiting for the right moment.
09:04When she's not on a fling with the web-slinger, she pulls off elaborate heists with her bad luck powers,
09:09often getting into trouble with both good guys and bad guys.
09:13She's also helmed a few acclaimed solo comics in past years,
09:16so there's no doubt that she could lead a fun caper featuring street-level supervillains.
09:21My hero.
09:26Before we continue, be sure to check out WatchMojo's 24-hour livestream.
09:30All of your favorite videos in one place, 24-7.
09:34Always on, always live.
09:36Are you not entertained?
09:38Number 1. Richard Rider, aka Nova.
09:43We were first introduced to the Nova Corps in Guardians of the Galaxy.
09:46There, they were depicted as a simple military police force.
09:49Peter Quill, this is Denari and Saal of the Nova Corps.
09:53For the record, I advised against trusting you here.
09:56They got my dick messaged!
09:58Prove me wrong.
10:02In the comics, however, they're more akin to the Green Lanterns.
10:06These peacekeepers span the galaxy and use their energy blasts to fight evil.
10:10Given how much Marvel has ventured into the cosmos,
10:12it's a real mystery as to why they haven't introduced the most famous Nova Corps man,
10:17Richard Rider.
10:18From killing the unstoppable Annihilus,
10:20to fighting Thanos alongside Star-Lord,
10:22this human rocket has done it all.
10:24We can only hope that he'll soon make his debut,
10:26and possibly lead to new Guardians of the Galaxy.
10:28They could even have him team up with his protege,
10:30Sam Alexander.
10:31Titus follows Sam to Earth,
10:33and the two begin fighting.
10:34Sam brings Titus back to the Chitauri fleet,
10:36and blasts them all with the ultimate nullifier,
10:38sending them away.
10:39Then he gives the ultimate nullifier to the Watcher for safekeeping.
10:42With the Earth saved,
10:43Sam decides it's time for a new perilous mission,
10:46finding his father.
10:47Is there a character we missed that you want to see in the MCU?
10:50Annihilus?
10:51Hulkling?
10:52Captain Britain?
10:52Tell us your favorite in the comments.
