00:00I really do feel like Lara Croft is a cultural icon and kind of sits in a space of her
00:07own, I guess, as a woman.
00:09You know, there aren't that many female protagonists.
00:13There are increasingly a larger number of female protagonists.
00:17You know, Jennifer English and Claire Obscure.
00:20Aloy, obviously, Ashley Birch, Jennifer Hale, Mass Effect.
00:24There are an increasing number of brilliant female protagonists.
00:28But Lara was the first. She was the first.
00:31She was the first one to really break through in a very male-dominated space.
00:38And I think that makes her incredibly interesting.
00:40She has a natural British charm, charisma, and wit that I'm trying very hard to channel at the moment.
00:47And sometimes I get it right. Sometimes I really don't.
00:49But, you know, I think people love that about her.
00:52They love her personality.
00:53And that's why she's endured throughout the ages.
00:56And also why she's been so successful in crossing over into so many different media.
01:01And that's why she's been so successful in the past.
01:01And that's why she's been so successful in the past.
