00:02Apollo Global Management has traded more than $35 billion in private credit assets since
00:07launching its private credit trading desk earlier this month, according to Bloomberg.
00:11The desk has traded about 500 assets with 160 counterparties, with roughly one-third
00:17involving loans originated by other firms.
00:19Apollo also began rolling out daily marks across its approximately $850 billion credit
00:24business as it seeks greater liquidity and price transparency in private credit.
00:28The move comes as the SEC urges firms and auditors to closely examine private asset valuations
00:34and related risk disclosures.
00:36Apollo's John Cortese said greater transparency and liquidity could help private credit expand
00:41as large companies increasingly use the market to finance complex projects, including AI
00:46infrastructure and chip development.
