00:00Jaden's line of embrace the brace is phenomenal.
00:03I also asked him, because you and I were on the sideline in Minnesota last year,
00:09and that was the first game he had to wear the brace,
00:12and it was crystal clear how uncomfortable he was with it.
00:16You just watched him in pregame.
00:17He was fidgeting with it constantly.
00:20It just made him uncomfortable.
00:22This seems a little different than that one, too, though.
00:24It seems so much bigger and bulkier that you can't really mess with it.
00:28No, this one here, to me, it seems sleeker.
00:32Well, it doesn't wrap the whole way around, maybe?
00:34No, it has the black thing over it that kind of holds it in.
00:38The one last year was kind of like open.
00:40It seemed like there was a splint.
00:43It was like the sleeve with a splint, and the splint was moving around.
00:46Yeah, it looked like it was looser.
00:48This seems more stationary, if that makes sense.
00:51But I asked him, I was like, compared to the mindset in the Minnesota game,
00:56how differently do you feel about the brace this year?
00:59And he's like, hell yeah, I feel different.
01:01I want to be able to play football.
01:02Yeah.
01:03And I think there's an understanding that he has to wear this thing to play football.
01:07Yeah.
01:07Oh, yeah.
01:08And I think with that in mind, last year I feel like he was trying to fight his way out
01:13of having to wear it.
01:14And this year I think he recognizes, I have no path to not wear it.
01:18You know what that's called, Jay?
01:18That M word.
01:19Yeah.
01:20Maturity.
01:20Yeah.
01:21You know, when you're young, you think you're invincible.
01:23And then all of a sudden things begin to happen.
01:26And then you begin to, like, as you, when you were growing up, did you ever hit moments where you
01:31go,
01:31that's what my mom and dad were talking about?
01:33A hundred percent.
01:34That's maturity, you know, when you, because, like, we all think we can do everything.
01:38My dad always told me, he said, look, man, he said, I made mistakes, so you don't have to.
01:42He said, I'm telling you what's going to happen.
01:44And then I'm like, but, Dad, I can do it.
01:45He said, well, go ahead and do what you want to do then.
01:47Then I come back, and guess what?
01:49Exactly what he said happened, said what's going to happen, happened.
01:52But as soon as you get to the point where you start listening, you'll get more of what you want.
