00:04For this upcoming update,
00:05it's finally the turn of the Light Archetype
00:07to receive its fourth playstyle,
00:09bringing it in line with the Medium and Heavy Archetypes.
00:13Introducing the Infiltrator,
00:14an expert in disguise, manipulation and detection
00:19that keeps opponents constantly guessing in the arena.
00:22The Infiltrator introduces three new items to the game.
00:26The Truesight Specialization sets up the core of the playstyle,
00:30while two new gadgets, the Mimic Device and the Translocator,
00:34round out the loadout.
00:35Let's talk a little more about each of these items.
00:38The Truesight Specialization is a rework and reimagining of Thermal Vision,
00:43which has been out of rotation since Season 8.
00:46With Truesight, you can activate a Vision Mode
00:48that highlights enemy players and deployables,
00:51while also allowing you to see cloaked players even when they're disguised.
00:55While active, Truesight slowly drains an Energy Meter,
00:58so use it wisely.
01:00Truesight can also see through environmental smoke and smoke grenades,
01:04giving the Infiltrator much more control over smoke as part of their playstyle.
01:09Unlike Thermal Vision, Truesight is much more reliable
01:12across different lighting conditions and environments,
01:15while keeping the surrounding environment clear for the player.
01:18It also clearly shows the team colors of highlighted enemies and items,
01:23allowing you to keep track of who you are facing without constantly toggling the ability on and off.
01:29The first of the Infiltrator's gadgets is the Mimic Device,
01:32a handheld tool that allows you to scan any prop in the level
01:36and temporarily disguise yourself as that item.
01:40Use the Mimic Device to evade enemies or sneak upon objectives.
01:44Just make sure your disguise is convincing.
01:47Not only does the Mimic Device inherit the appearance of props,
01:50it can also inherit the functionality of some of them as well.
01:54Want to get to high ground fast?
01:56Why not disguise yourself as a gas canister and have your teammates propel you there?
02:00Or maybe you fancy disguising yourself as a healing barrel and rolling your way to victory.
02:05Just be careful. The effect of these props can be triggered by taking damage,
02:10so make sure you don't accidentally set your teammates on fire.
02:14We'd also advise that you steer clear of any enemy holding a data reshaper.
02:18The consequences of being reshaped are not pretty.
02:23The final gadget we're adding is the Translocator,
02:26a teleportation device that allows you to swap positions with another object in the world.
02:31The Translocator requires you to mark an object,
02:34such as a prop,
02:36and when activated you will immediately swap position with the target,
02:40as long as it remains within range.
02:42As well as allowing rapid repositioning,
02:45this tool lets you get very creative.
02:48Enemy turret locking down the objective?
02:50Mark it and translocate it out of the room.
02:53Want to close distance on the enemy?
02:55Tag that gas canister, throw it at the enemy, then swap locations.
03:00Or maybe you want to make an explosive entrance?
03:03Load up a fuel can with some Breach Chargers, swap it into the enemy,
03:07and let it do the work.
03:10We believe these additions to the game bring a new level of creativity and variety to the Light Archetype,
03:16and we can't wait to see you all getting creative with them.
