00:00Is Brian Cashman in any trouble here?
00:02I don't think so.
00:03I don't see how he would be.
00:05Look, the ownership loves Cashman.
00:08They love Boone.
00:17Obviously, we came out and did not play well,
00:20especially in the first inning, and that kind of snowballed.
00:23So we got to, but you got to be able to handle moments like that,
00:27especially in the postseason,
00:28if you're going to ultimately be successful.
00:32Bagots, Boone.
00:34Bagots, Yankees.
00:36That really pissed me off.
00:38I'm still not over game two.
00:39Hangs over the Yankees as we get ready for game three
00:42at Yankee Stadium tonight.
00:44Yankees losing game two in the fashion that they did.
00:48Honestly, I'm sick.
00:50And if Aaron Boone keeps his job, I have nothing else to believe in.
00:55And look, we've called for Aaron Boone to be fired before
00:59because he underachieves constantly in the postseason.
01:02And the Yankees constantly play in the postseason when it matters the most,
01:08like they have their heads and their collective derriers.
01:11And you saw that four errors at the damn drop.
01:16I mean, that's amateur hour.
01:19Three errors in the first inning.
01:20That is pathetic.
01:23That is garbage.
01:24Ryan McMahon, still not over that.
01:26He better not be in the lineup tonight.
01:29I don't want to see him.
01:30I don't want to see him anymore.
01:32He's there for one reason and one reason alone.
01:35Defense.
01:35Slytler's on the bump.
01:36It was a must-win, have-to-win, gonna-win game.
01:40And then just botches the first ball that's put in play.
01:44I mean, amateur hour.
01:46Jazz doesn't know where to throw the ball.
01:49Jazz later in the game doesn't know what infield in means.
01:52Austin Wells, you know, you look at what happened with the catcher's interference.
01:56Spencer Jones doesn't give a damn.
01:58Some of the ball hits to the outfield.
02:00I mean, it's like he's in Tampa at a spring training split squad game.
02:05Not like he's out there for the postseason trying to win.
02:10I mean, you had Lombard and Garcia.
02:13I don't know what the hell that was.
02:15And the Yankees wasted another gem from Cam Schlittler.
02:18What a disaster.
02:19Absolute disaster.
02:20And the defense is pathetic.
02:23And the offense is pathetic.
02:24I mean, this Yankee offense right now is offensive.
02:27You have Wells hitting.
02:29You have Belly hitting.
02:30You have Rice hitting.
02:32Other than that, this team has not been able to hit.
02:34I mean, look at this.
02:36Stare at these numbers of futility.
02:39The rest of the team outside of Rice and Belly and Wells, 0 for the series.
02:46086 batting average.
02:48First two games of a playoff series.
02:51The worst, the worst in consecutive games in the history of the baseball playoffs.
02:57So it's Ruth.
02:59It's Garrick.
03:00It's Mantle.
03:01DiMaggio.
03:02Derek Jeter.
03:03And this, in terms of Yankee history.
03:07Pathetic.
03:08How does Aaron Boone keep his job?
03:10And I have way too much respect for Kevin Cash.
03:13Way too much respect for the Tampa Rays to believe that the Yankees are going to win three straight.
03:18Do I think they'll win tonight with Max Fried on the bump?
03:20I do.
03:21Because Max Fried is a gamer.
03:24He's a bulldog.
03:24He's the exact guy you want out there when you look at a win or go home scenario.
03:30Max Fried has been great in these kind of spots.
03:32We could go to Atlanta.
03:33Go to what he's been as a Yankee.
03:35But I'm still not over what happened in game two and then how it relates to game three.
03:40So, yes, I predict the Yankees will stay alive tonight.
03:44But the Yankees are dead.
03:48There's no way the Rays lose three straight.
03:52That's, you've got to look at it backwards.
03:54It's not a Yankee topic for conversation.
03:56Look at what the Rays do.
03:58They have speed.
04:00They catch the ball.
04:01They put the ball in play.
04:03They're fundamentally sound.
04:05As opposed to this grotesque slop that we see from the New York Yankees.
04:10Absolutely suffocating.
04:12Sickening.
04:13And let me tell you something.
04:15How Aaron Boone holds a job, I'll never know.
04:17The New York Yankees are not in the business of making the playoffs.
04:22The New York Yankees should be in the business of ultimately getting to the World Series and winning the World
04:29Series.
04:30How could Hal Steinbrenner look his fans in the face and say, this is the face of the guy who's
04:37going to lead the New York Yankees to another championship?
04:40We've had the time to do it.
04:42Can't see it.
04:43And Aaron Boone managed team is completely clueless.
04:46You know, the lineup in game two was what it was.
04:48Okay?
04:49How about you pinch hit?
04:51How about you go to the other guys when you start going to the bullpen if you're Tampa Bay?
04:56I'm still not over that stupid trot, by the way.
04:59I mean, that thing is a complete and utter disgrace.
05:01I want to be the guy who just absolutely blows that thing up.
05:05Still can't believe that there was an out when a ball hit the roof and the catwalk and the beam.
05:10I mean, please.
05:11And listen, I want to see Caballero in the lineup.
05:15I don't need to see Goldschmidt.
05:16I don't need to see Volpe.
05:18You know, if they play, I can't sit here and, you know, bang the drum, jazz must play.
05:23But just play Caballero.
05:25You can't keep doing the same old, same old.
05:28And when Kevin Cash in game two goes to the bullpen, you've got all these guys sitting on the bench.
05:33You've got to pinch hit.
05:35You've got to do something.
05:36This is not a week in a Bernie situation.
05:38Act like you're awake.
05:40Act like you're among the living.
05:42I mean, what a complete and utter fiasco for the Yankee.
05:45Season's over.
05:45The only question is the date.
05:47Does it end tonight?
05:48Does it end on Thursday?
05:50Does it end on Saturday?
05:52And this will go down as a waste.
05:54And honestly, how does Brian Cashman still hold a job?
05:58Seriously.
05:58And if you're looking at levels here, right, you know, first of all, the players deserve blame.
06:04Let's not absolve them.
06:05We mentioned the batting average, obviously.
06:06I blame for this specific year Boone more than Cashman.
06:10But we ripped Cashman for the trade deadline.
06:13Ramos was the big pickup in the outfield?
06:16What are we doing?
06:17Garcia was a fabulous trade.
06:18But we wanted more relief pitchers.
06:20We want another outfielder.
06:22Go check everything on YouTube.
06:24This is exactly what we called for, for the New York Yankees at the trade deadline.
06:28That's his job.
06:29I mean, that's what we've been waiting for.
06:32So, listen.
06:34Cashman should go.
06:35I mean, Boone must go.
06:37And a lot of these players need to go as well.
06:40Well, I am just so sick to my stomach on where the New York Yankees are heading into this
06:45ballgame tonight.
06:46Joining us right now to break down tonight's do or die game three and what could happen
06:51if the Yankees go home, New York Post baseball columnist and insider, my guy, the great John
06:58Heyman.
06:58John, how are you?
06:59I'm good.
07:00How are you, Adam?
07:01I'm doing great.
07:01I mean, I'd be doing better if the Yankees were up 2-0 instead of down 0-2, but I
07:07digress.
07:08Now, I picked the Yankees to win this series in five.
07:10You picked the Yankees to win this series in four.
07:14So, what has surprised you or, from a Yankee perspective, disappointed you the most in the
07:20first couple of games?
07:22Well, they haven't played clean baseball.
07:25They've been poor in the field.
07:26I mean, most of it's in game two, really.
07:29Game one had the base running blunder.
07:31That was really the one really bad moment.
07:35Game two, we've had all sorts of fielding issues.
07:39It's four errors, but could have been some others.
07:42Really, one of the worst played game from a defensive standpoint, probably in Yankee history,
07:49certainly in recent Yankee playoff history.
07:51That is the disappointment.
07:53And obviously, they haven't hit.
07:54You could chalk it up to Drew Rasmussen in one, if you like, but they faced Freddie Peralta
08:00and the bullpen in game two, and hit a little bit better, but still not great.
08:06Listen, I agree with you, and that's the only way to phrase it.
08:08I mean, that was an all-time dud for the Yankees in game number two, and it was a disgrace
08:13in
08:14the field right from the jump with McMahon, and then we saw, you know, Wells, and we saw
08:18Jazz, and the whole thing, Spencer Jones in the outfield.
08:21The whole thing was a disaster.
08:23And listen, game three tonight, I'd like to see some lineup changes.
08:28I'd like to see Caballero, as an example, at third base.
08:33What would you like to see?
08:34What should Aaron Boone do to mix things up?
08:37Because you can't repeat the same old, same old from the first couple games.
08:41Yeah, I mean, Caballero is the obvious one, and I'm not sure exactly why he hasn't played
08:45more than he has.
08:46They were playing Volpe over him consistently at second base while Jazz was out.
08:52They've said that they like Caballero off the bench due to his versatility and his base-stealing
08:57abilities.
08:58You know, at some point, you know, if you really like him so much, put him in the lineup.
09:03But now I think it's pretty clear that he needs to be in that lineup.
09:07And, you know, the fact that McFried is left-handed and there'll be some grounders third, and then
09:13McMahon is historically a better fielder, I don't think that really weighs that heavily
09:17into it.
09:18Because really, McMahon has not fielded like he normally does this year.
09:22And Caballero is a good fielding third baseman.
09:25It's not just like a utility guy you're putting out there, and he's below average at third.
09:30He is fine at third.
09:32Look, McMahon at his best, yeah, he's a little bit better defensively, but he hasn't hit at
09:36all.
09:36So I'll be shocked if Caballero isn't in the lineup in some spot, and I'll be surprised
09:43if it's not third base.
09:45It's clear that Boone loves Volpe, and everybody's seen his praises, and he has been very solid
09:54defensively since he's been back.
09:56And I get it, and obviously people are mad at Jazz right now because he's been erratic.
10:01So I'm not going to be surprised if Volpe's in there for Jazz as well.
10:06I think those are probably the two main ones.
10:09I'm not seeing the other potential changes that people are suggesting.
10:16So there's not a ton they can do, but I mean, Caballero is long overdue to be in that lineup
10:21for one.
10:21Yeah, we're on the same page, and listen, I'm still playing Garcia at first base.
10:25Let's be crystal clear about that, and, you know, Jazz has, you know, been driving me
10:30crazy.
10:30I could play him at second.
10:32Listen, I can't sit here and bang the drum for him, but, you know, I could understand
10:36why if Boone wants to go to Volpe, so be it.
10:39Caballero is a must without question.
10:40Yankees' first couple games have hit 086.
10:43I mean, it's an embarrassment right now at the plate, so they have to make some changes.
10:48John, if the Yankees get swept, do they make a managerial change?
10:53You know, I wouldn't rule it out completely.
10:55I would say, as I said on our podcast with Joel Sherman, that it's more realistic now than
11:00ever before.
11:01That said, I don't think it's better than 50-50.
11:04I still think it's only a small chance.
11:07There certainly will be a discussion about it.
11:10They did not look ready to play in Game 2.
11:13That certainly is a strike against them, but to me, the main issue is it's been nine years.
11:19That's the main argument against.
11:20You know, if you don't win the World Series again, you're 0 for 9 in terms of what George
11:26Steinbrenner's goal was every year.
11:29He said it was a failure.
11:30Now, I don't necessarily think that's something you can actually live by in the real world,
11:37and obviously his son and Brian Cashman don't think that either, and I get that.
11:42But if you're 0 for 9, no matter how good you are in the regular season and how much the
11:48ownership likes you and how much the players like you, there needs to be a discussion at
11:53least about this.
11:55I'm looking at the overall record.
11:57I know people are picking on certain strategies.
11:59I mean, the guy has been a winning manager.
12:02He has won consistently in the regular season.
12:05He's made the playoffs every year but won.
12:09You know, he is a good manager.
12:11There are other issues.
12:13He's got another year to go.
12:14That's probably not the biggest thing.
12:16They may have a lockout, which makes it more difficult to bring in somebody new.
12:20That's probably not the biggest thing either.
12:23And this is why they will need to have a discussion if they get wiped out here in this round,
12:28whether
12:28it be swept or four or five.
12:31And I get it.
12:33You got to advance better in the playoffs.
12:36Looking at his record in the playoffs, he's beaten those central teams pretty consistently,
12:42but he's lost way more than he's won against the other teams.
12:47You nailed it.
12:47And you nailed it talking about the central.
12:49You nailed it 0 for 9.
12:51You nailed it in terms of the lack of fundamentals.
12:54I mean, you look at a Boone team versus a Kevin Cash team, and frankly, it's apples and
12:58Oldsmobiles.
12:59It's not even apples and oranges.
13:00I mean, not even in a fruit category here, John.
13:03I mean, this is not good.
13:04Let me follow with this.
13:06And I'm not naive.
13:07I'm paying attention.
13:08And for this specific year, to me, it's more on Boone than Cashman.
13:13Is Brian Cashman in any trouble here?
13:16I don't think so.
13:17I don't see how he would be.
13:19Look, the ownership loves Cashman.
13:21They love Boone.
13:23They love them both.
13:25I do think Cashman has had, by and large, a pretty good year.
13:30You know, the trades he's made over the last year, year and a half, you know, I guess
13:35you could say it's been a mixed bag.
13:37You know, you can say that Chisholm isn't exactly what we wanted, but what did they give
13:42up for him?
13:42You know, I think, by and large, they got the better of that trade at this point.
13:47McMahon, that trade was not successful.
13:50Garcia, that trade looks, I mean, you could go through it up and down.
13:54The fact is, right now, on paper, they look like they have a really good team, and I think
13:59it's pretty disappointing if they're out in this round, particularly in a sweep.
14:04They're one of two teams with four viable starting pitchers still going and going strong.
14:11They're a team that has a good bullpen.
14:16Their bullpen was in the top two or three in baseball.
14:19The Bednar pickup last year was outstanding.
14:22The fact they signed Blackburn for $2 million and turned him to an excellent setup man, that's
14:29outstanding.
14:29Hedrick, where did he come from?
14:32Now, obviously, lately, it looks like he may be a little bit gassed, shouldn't even say
14:37a little bit, but I mean, that was a very good move, and he's performed very well.
14:43You know, I think their team is very, very good, and his contract is up, so it's a little
14:47different situation, but I will be shocked if they do make a change at general manager,
14:52and I've heard that they are not going that way.
14:55If the Yankees win tonight, and for the record, I do think they will win tonight.
15:01Max Fried on the bump.
15:02I think he gets it done.
15:03I think he's a big-time, big-game pitcher.
15:06You know, we talked at length about, last time we chatted on Shine Time, who starts game
15:10one, and I said it had to be Garrett Cole, right?
15:13We nailed it in terms of the rotation for the Boston series, the Tampa series.
15:18So, if the Yankees win tonight, is it Garrett Cole on Thursday, or is it Carlos Rodon?
15:25I mean, it should be Rodon.
15:27Rodon has been the second-best pitcher in the American League after Schlittler over the
15:30last six weeks.
15:32You know, I thought he would have been a fine choice, actually, for one, or for three, had
15:38the Gondu third against Boston.
15:42Tampa is much better hitting against right-handers than left-handers.
15:48Rodon shut them out over eight innings, two hits, only two and a half weeks ago.
15:54Cole has not been great over the last month.
15:57He had a good first game, but let's not go crazy over it.
16:00He threw five innings, one run, five hits.
16:03He was good.
16:04He's on his way to the Hall of Fame.
16:06You look at the back of the baseball card, I understand why Boone went to him, and it's
16:11not worth criticizing that move.
16:13You know, would Rodon have thrown a shutout?
16:15I don't know.
16:16I wouldn't criticize that one-run outing or the choice of the guy who threw the one-run
16:21outing.
16:21But to rush Cole back when Rodon is not only fully healthy, he's fully rested.
16:28He's beyond rested at this point and hasn't pitched at all.
16:32I think that would be foolish.
16:34Rodon has been excellent recently.
16:37He rediscovered his slider.
16:39And, you know, I think they've underutilized him, and I think they've underutilized Caballero,
16:45in my opinion.
16:46I'm with you, especially on Caballero.
16:48I mean, I have no idea what the hell is going on.
16:51All right, John, final question for you.
16:53Play the rest of the series out for us.
16:55What happens tonight?
16:56What happens the rest of the way?
16:59Yeah, I guess I take your word for it that I picked them in four.
17:03I probably should have put more thought into it.
17:05I mean, I was in St. Petersburg.
17:06They're not looking good.
17:08Can they turn it around?
17:09About a little more than 10% of teams do win down 0-2.
17:12The last team to do that was the 2017 Yankees.
17:15I know it was against a central team, but it was a really good central team, the Cleveland
17:20Indians at the time.
17:22And that was a team coming off the World Series.
17:25They ended up losing that year to Houston, who won the World Series, as we recall, kind
17:32of ignominiously over the Yankees.
17:35And Girardi ended up getting fired then.
17:39For them to win three in a row, look, it's two to the third power, one out of eight.
17:43But the way they played, I think it's less than that.
17:46I don't think their chances are great at this moment.
17:48I'm just being realistic.
17:50My predictions, I hope nobody's making any bets on my predictions.
17:55They're not good at the beginning, particularly at the beginning of the series, if I picked
17:59the Yankees in four.
18:00I guess I was excited that they had beaten Boston by a score of 18-2, cumulative score
18:06over two games.
18:07That was my error.
18:08But having seen the Rays up close twice there, and I get it.
18:11Now we're at Yankee Stadium.
18:13I don't think the Yankees are going to repeat that effort of Game 2.
18:17I think they'll put in a good performance.
18:19But to win three in a row, it's going to be tough.
18:23Very tough, especially the way the Raiders play.
18:25By the way, ignominiously.
18:26I mean, that's an unbelievable word right there.
18:29That's the Northwestern John Heyman education right there.
18:32No matter what happens tonight, you can read about it from John Heyman in tomorrow's New
18:35York Post, and of course, catch John and Joel on another great New York podcast, New
18:41York Post podcast, the show.
18:43It's on the New York Post Sports YouTube page.
18:45Up right now, they've got an incredible interview.
18:48I watched it.
18:49I was obsessed with it.
18:50I watched it three times with Bob Costas, who went to Syracuse, by the way, not Northwestern.
18:55Just throwing that out there.
18:56John, you're the best.
18:57Excellent stuff as always, and we appreciate it.
18:59Thanks, Adam.
19:01The Dodgers prevailed in the showdown between Yamamoto and Sal last night's Game 3 in Atlanta.
19:08And once again, it was Kike Hernandez playing the role of home run hero for the Dodgers in
19:13the postseason.
19:15I didn't know when it was going to happen, but the one thing that I knew was that I was
19:18going to be ready whenever Doc put my name in the lineup or needed me to pinch it.
19:22And obviously, having Chris Sale would have been nice to get a little bit of a warm-up
19:29before Sale, but I was just glad that I'm talking here about something positive and not something
19:36negative.
19:37Dodgers baseball, baby.
19:38They are a beautiful baseball machine, and Yamamoto's sale, as predicted, lived up to the
19:44hype, and Yamamoto is a stud.
19:48Yamamoto is an icon.
19:50Yamamoto is a legend.
19:51As Dylan Hernandez wrote in the California Post, build the statue right now outside Dodger
19:59Stadium.
19:59What he did last night on the bump in the back page of the California Post, absolutely
20:05nailed it.
20:06The numbers for Yamamoto last night were off the charts.
20:10The feel, even better than these ridiculously amazing statistics when you look at what Yamamoto
20:17was able to do.
20:18Ten strikeouts, seven innings of gold.
20:20The numbers for Yamamoto in this ballgame were just ridiculously impressive.
20:27The Braves looked like they were swinging a wet noodle at the dish, swinging and missing
20:31at the fastball, swinging and missing at the curveball.
20:34So impressive.
20:36Ten strikeouts, one walk, one run.
20:38Off the charts, amazing for Yamamoto.
20:41And this is not a surprise.
20:44You take a look at what Yamamoto brings to the table in his career as a postseason performer,
20:50this guy is an absolute superstar.
20:53He's a legend.
20:54We are talking about someone who has an 8-1 record, 2-1-4 ERA, 58 strikeouts, and 11 appearances
21:04in the postseason.
21:05He is a certified killer.
21:07He won the MVP last year, of course, of the World Series.
21:12This guy won three games last year in the World Series.
21:16So how did you think it was going to go for Yamamoto last night?
21:19And what he was able to do in that fifth inning, to keep the Braves at bay, bases were loaded,
21:26able to get a ground ball.
21:28That was incredible with Baldwin, plates a run, then able to get Acuna Jr. to just hit
21:34another ground ball, no harm, no foul.
21:36Then you saw Tanner Scott in the eighth, and that was a high intense moment.
21:41He was fantastic.
21:43Then Edwin Diaz for the ninth, and Ozzie Albies was able to rake that double.
21:47But then Timmy and his trumpets, able to start playing as Diaz was able to settle in, and
21:53the Dodgers take care of business.
21:55And listen, how about Quique Hernandez?
21:58Quique Hernandez, obviously, is a playoff hero.
22:02People talk about payroll all the time.
22:04Forget about it.
22:04You have heroes like this, who are gamers, who step up, who don't feel any pressure,
22:09apply pressure.
22:100-0 game, two-run jack from Quique Hernandez.
22:14Homer Hernandez is right.
22:16I mean, listen, this is incredible.
22:1911.2% of his career home runs in the playoffs.
22:24This cat is a freak.
22:25Then, of course, you look at Freddie Freeman, who got robbed of a homer earlier in the game.
22:30And then the former Brave stepped to the plate and put a charge in one, and nobody was going
22:35to get it.
22:35And I'll tell you, as great as that home run was, and Freddie's back in Atlanta for the
22:40first time since he left as a World Series hero back in Atlanta for the playoffs for
22:44the first time since he left in 2021 when he won the World Series for the Atlanta Braves.
22:48I mean, that play at first base, that scoop at the end, that's a tough play for a first
22:54baseman.
22:55And how about Mookie Betts, one of the most prolific playoff and big-game performers in
22:59baseball history, and what an unselfish, dominant superstar.
23:03Think about, for Mookie, Red Sox or the Dodgers, the games that he's won with his bat, with his
23:09power, with his contact, his throwing arm in the outfield, his speed in the outfield,
23:14his speed on the bases, his range at second base, shortstop, how he ended, obviously,
23:19what he did to contribute in the Dodgers winning the World Series on defense last year in the
23:24infield.
23:24And then this last night, he has with the pitch, and you see Mookie glide over and just streak
23:31towards second, scoops it up, whirls around, throws to first, it's in the dirt, he knows
23:36he can trust his first baseman, and Freddie scoops it out.
23:39That right there is Dodger baseball.
23:41And listen, we said Dodgers in four, and we think the Dodgers are winning four, and I
23:46think that in the Battle of Tyler's tonight, Glass now will be able to bring it home.
23:50And this is who the Dodgers are, this is what they do.
23:55And they know how to handle pressure, they know how to apply pressure for a team that is
24:00obviously win the World Series or bust.
24:03This team is unbelievable.
24:04And they dropped Shohei Ohtani in the lineup, and it didn't even matter.
24:09You know Dave Roberts has to talk to Ohtani and his entire team about that.
24:13So this is amazing to watch.
24:16It is incredibly, ridiculously impressive.
24:18I love every single second of what the Dodgers did.
24:22Obviously, Yamamoto, dealing like that, incredible, matching the great Chris Sale,
24:28who's going to the Hall of Fame, and I expect the Dodgers to beat the Atlanta Braves and
24:33move on to the championship series tonight.
24:36Padres avoid elimination last night in San Diego, thanks to a tie-breaking home run from
24:40Drake Cronenworth in the fifth, and a six-out save from game two starter Michael King.
24:46Here's some of what the two have to say after.
24:49I made myself available on Sunday, confirmed it with Salmon today, and I knew that there
24:56was a chance it was going to be late in the game because of Mason's wife.
25:01But six outs to end the game is six outs to end the game.
25:04I wasn't as crisp as I'd like to be, but yeah, I'm very happy for a game four.
25:10You look at the situation we've been in for, shoot, over half the season.
25:14You know, it's kind of bent our backs against the wall.
25:17We've been fighting since before the trade deadline to survive, and, you know, I think
25:22no team's more battle-tested than we are right now.
25:26It is just incredible, and, you know, the Padres are amazing.
25:30I think they're better than the Brewers.
25:32They could have, should have won game number one, but, you know, tie France.
25:36It should have been a go-ahead bomb, but it hit a damn beam in Milwaukee.
25:39Then you saw Mason Miller.
25:40I agreed with the way Stam and the manager structured it, okay?
25:44Fine, six outs save.
25:46That's what you do.
25:47Mason Miller blew it, credit cheerio, and, you know, the rest is history.
25:52But then you see, for game number three, you see Cronenworth, the game is tied.
25:56Look at that joy, that jubilation, that exhale.
25:59The crowd's going nuts, and they are just an amazing, amazing fan base, and the joint was
26:04jumping at Petco.
26:06Incredible.
26:07I thought Merrill's defense last night was amazing, Machado, Tatis getting involved early, RBIs,
26:15that was huge.
26:15I love what I saw from Pavetta early on.
26:18But to me, as big a story as any, this guy, number 34, the King.
26:25Michael King is a gamer.
26:27He's a bulldog.
26:27He is a stud.
26:29He's a guy you want in your foxhole.
26:31So, Mason Miller couldn't go on the paternity list as his wife unexpectedly went into labor.
26:37And Michael King sets history.
26:41And by the way, that's not photoshopped.
26:43He was wearing the crown last night.
26:45I mean, only pitcher in the playoffs, in the history of the postseason, to get a six or
26:51more out save a couple days after a start.
26:55It's never happened before.
26:56Look at the numbers on Michael King and the safe.
27:01Look at the ability to walk into Stammen's office and say, Skip, I got you.
27:05All right?
27:06We hope everything's great with Mason.
27:08Hope everything's great with his wife and his baby.
27:11And I got this.
27:12Don't even worry about it.
27:14No sweat.
27:15We're going to win tonight.
27:17That's amazing.
27:18I'm openly rooting for the Padres.
27:20They're fun to watch.
27:21They're the best team in baseball in the second half of the season.
27:23Brewers were very fortunate first couple of games.
27:26And I think the Padres are going to win again tonight.
27:28And I think the Padres are going to find a way to win five.
27:31I think this team is better than Milwaukee.
27:33I think Milwaukee has been very fortunate all year.
27:36I think the joint's going to be jumping again tonight.
27:39I'm going to be up to all hours of the night watching Padres baseball because I can't get
27:43enough.
27:44All hands going to be on deck for San Diego.
27:47And let me tell you the script because I've seen this movie before.
27:50The stars will come to play.
27:51You're going to see Tatis impact the game.
27:53You're going to see Machado impact the game.
27:55These guys know what it takes to grind and win and work.
27:59And that crowd is amazing.
28:01I can't wait for game four tonight.
28:04That effort from Michael King.
28:06Man, that was absolutely sensational stuff.
28:09I just love the intensity and the stories of this baseball postseason.
