A special broadcast reviews Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in governance, marking a quarter of a century since he took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on 7 October 2001. The bulletin traces his 13 years in Gujarat and his tenure as Prime Minister since 2014, becoming the first leader after Jawaharlal Nehru to secure three consecutive terms. The broadcast highlights his five targets for a Viksit Bharat by 2047, including becoming a top three global economy, expanding Atmanirbhar Bharat, establishing India as a global manufacturing hub, hosting the Olympic Games, and advancing space exploration. It covers major policy shifts including GST, Jan Dhan accounts, UPI adoption, the abrogation of Article 370, and strategic security responses against cross-border terrorism. In his speech, the Prime Minister contrasts earlier policy paralysis with ongoing economic reforms, export growth, and saturation governance.

00:0025 years ago, this day, Narendra Modi took over as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
00:08Today, a quarter of a century later, that journey from Gandhinagar to Delhi
00:15is being marked as one of the most defining political milestones in India's political history.
00:23The BJP and the NDA are celebrating 25 years of Narendra Modi at the helm of government.
00:3213 years in Gujarat, 12 years and counting in Delhi.
00:38To mark this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid out his vision,
00:44his roadmap for the journey towards a Vikasit Bharat or a developed India by 2047.
00:51So, speaking in the national capital, the Prime Minister's message was clear.
00:57We will do it, he said.
01:00He laid out five big targets for every Indian to achieve.
01:05Target number one, a top three global economy.
01:09India should be amongst the top three.
01:12An Atmanirbhar Bharat.
01:14And this is extremely critical to be self-dependent, self-reliant when it comes to manufacturing.
01:22Making India a global manufacturing hub.
01:26The Prime Minister has often spoken of,
01:28make in India, make for the world.
01:32A big dream, post the Olympic Games.
01:36And take India further into space.
01:41All of these, he said, are part of a larger ambition.
01:46Vikasit Bharat, a developed India by 2047.
01:50The Prime Minister also spoke about how India has changed in the past 25 years.
01:56He contrasted an earlier era.
01:59We often used to hear of words like policy paralysis.
02:03And now, an area, he insisted, he worked on very hard, faster reforms, transformation.
02:11He pointed to and focused on India's ability to withstand global crisis.
02:17And we've seen this year after year.
02:19Whether it was COVID-19, or it was a standoff,
02:24or the current situation, initially Russia-Ukraine 2022,
02:29or the Iran-US war 2025 and 2026.
02:33Saying, instead of the economy being shaken whenever there's a crisis,
02:38the country's resilience is now being discussed across the world.
02:43Narendra Modi's political journey began on the 7th of October in 2001.
02:49That was the day he took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
02:53He succeeded Keshubhai Patel.
02:56Not many thought he'll be able to survive.
02:59In fact, there are those who, election after election,
03:03and I've covered some of those elections,
03:04whether it was 2007 election or 12 elections in Gujarat,
03:09or 2014 when he became Prime Minister,
03:12they kept saying, he won't last.
03:14He's gone. This election, he's gone.
03:16The same people, election after election, would say, he's gone.
03:20He's still there.
03:22He continues.
03:24In 2002, he led the BJP to victory in Gujarat Assembly elections,
03:28elected as Chief Minister for the first time.
03:31He returned to power in 2007,
03:33and again with bigger numbers in 2012.
03:36Each time when those naysayers said,
03:38it's over, it's game over for Narendra Modi,
03:40but then there was a bigger game that was at play.
03:43So he completed 13 years as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
03:472013, the BJP named him as their Prime Ministerial candidate.
03:54And then in 2014, the BJP won a majority.
03:59282 seats in Lok Sabha.
04:01Narendra Modi moved from Gandhinagar to the National Council.
04:062019, there were many who said,
04:08oh, he's just a one election wonder.
04:10Just five years.
04:11Won't happen again.
04:132019, the BJP returned with even bigger numbers.
04:16Larger majority.
04:17303 seats on their own.
04:19And the Prime Minister began his second term.
04:22And then in 2024,
04:24the NDA returned.
04:25But this time,
04:27it was NDA that returned with majority,
04:30giving Prime Minister Narendra Modi
04:31the third consecutive term as Prime Minister,
04:35making him the first Prime Minister
04:37after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru
04:39to lead a government for three terms.
04:4325 years of governance is also a story
04:46of decisions that have fundamentally shaped the nation.
04:51It's been called the Modi era.
04:54On the economic front, for example,
04:56there was GST bringing India's indirect tax system
04:59under one national framework.
05:03Many said it couldn't be done.
05:04It was done.
05:06Then there was a push for financial inclusion
05:08through the Jam Trinity,
05:11the Jandhan accounts,
05:12the Aadhaar-linked digital delivery
05:14and direct benefit transfers.
05:17Then came a game changer,
05:20an absolute game changer,
05:21the digital transformation
05:24with UPI turning digital payments
05:27into an everyday part of life
05:30which is happening so successfully in India today,
05:33not happening in many parts of the developed world.
05:36And Western leaders come to India and say,
05:38India has been able to do it.
05:41They haven't.
05:41Of course, there were many leaders,
05:44even in India,
05:45very powerful leaders,
05:46even in India,
05:47who said,
05:48no, this can't happen.
05:49It happened.
05:50On the political front,
05:51on the legal front,
05:52some of the biggest and most consequential decisions,
05:55including an absolute game changer,
05:59article 370,
06:00August 2019,
06:03that was an absolute game changer
06:05in our country's history and destiny.
06:09The Citizenship Amendment Act,
06:11the criminal law overhaul,
06:13the Bharatiya Nyai Sahita
06:15and related laws.
06:18And on the national security,
06:20we've been suffering Pakistan state-sponsored
06:23radical Islamist terror for decades.
06:261993,
06:27Pakistan used terrorists or criminals in our country
06:31to bleed us.
06:32257 died in serial blasts in Mumbai.
06:36257.
06:36Those terrorists had AK-47s,
06:38our police had bolt-action rifles.
06:41That is how terror had changed.
06:42What did India do?
06:43Nothing.
06:43Nothing.
06:44There was evidence of Pakistan's involvement.
06:47Court saw that evidence of Pakistan's involvement.
06:50India did nothing.
06:51And that wasn't the first time.
06:53You've had the 26-11 Mumbai terror attacks.
06:57The forces said,
06:58let's respond,
06:58let's hit Pakistan.
07:00Nothing was done.
07:03India,
07:03under Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
07:05gave Pakistan a chance.
07:07He not only invited Nawaz Sharif to India,
07:10he also went to Lahore.
07:12But then when Pakistan didn't change,
07:13one terror attack after the other,
07:15after the Uri terror attack,
07:17there were the first surgical strikes
07:19on Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir that time.
07:23And that was a game-changer.
07:252019, after Pulwama,
07:27came a bigger game-changer
07:28when Indian Air Force was used
07:29without declaration of war,
07:31not just to hit across the LC,
07:33hit across the international border
07:34in Khaybar Pakhtunkhwa,
07:36in Balakot.
07:37That was another signal sent out to Pakistan.
07:39No part of Pakistan is safe for terrorists.
07:41And then when Pehalgaam happened,
07:43when they massacred Hindus,
07:46when they called out Hindus
07:47and massacred them,
07:48these Pakistani terrorists,
07:50including their ex-servicemen,
07:52including SSG commandos,
07:53and gave out those messages to those widows,
07:56that was the time
08:00that an absolute game-changer decision
08:03was taken
08:03to bomb initially
08:06just terrorist bases,
08:07but the headquarters of terror
08:09at Mureed Ke,
08:11which was a dream
08:12for victims of terror
08:14and security forces
08:15for decades.
08:16That dream was realized
08:17when Mureed Ke,
08:19the Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters,
08:20was hit,
08:20when Bahawalpur of Jaisheb Mohamad
08:23was hit,
08:23and when Pakistan tried
08:24to target Indian military assets,
08:26then Pakistan air force bases
08:28and Pakistan military bases
08:30from Rawalpindi to Lahore
08:32to Sargodha
08:33to Raheem Yarkhan
08:34to Rafiki
08:35to Jacobabad
08:36to Bholari in Sindh,
08:38no part of Pakistan
08:40is safe from Indian missiles.
08:42That was the message
08:43that was sent out
08:44very loud and clear.
08:46Of course,
08:46there are some,
08:47even in India,
08:48who refuse to see
08:49that writing on the wall,
08:51let alone the Pakistanis.
08:52They may have promoted a failure,
08:54but then there are many
08:55who promote failures even here.
08:56But that's a separate story.
08:58But look at global diplomacy.
09:00From the G20 presidency
09:02and the expansion of India's
09:04engagement with Global South,
09:06and that happened
09:06during India's G20 presidency,
09:09to initiatives
09:10like the International Solar Alliance
09:12and the Vaccine Maitri.
09:14A vikset Bharat by 2047,
09:16that is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's
09:18slogan and dream
09:19as he completes 25 years.
09:22As the Prime Minister,
09:23first Chief Minister of Gujarat
09:25and then Prime Minister of India.
09:2725 years as head of a government.
09:30Listen in to the Prime Minister's vision.
09:35Vikset Bharat by 2047,
09:40we will do it.
09:44Vikset Bharat by 2047,
10:03Vikset Bharat by 247,
10:20In parfum, the skill of the Olympics, in attack of the Felly.
10:25In attack of the Felly.
10:30Same with you.
10:32This failure, this pursuit, this sammy, this sou하루 is the last one.
11:13और आज made in India mobile phone का जलबा है
11:20तब पूरे भारत में blackout ये global headline मनती थी
11:28और आज भारत की solar power capacity के चर्चे होते है
11:34।
