00:00Yeah, you know, we had some chances.
00:02We had some chances.
00:04You know, we played well for the most part.
00:07Got to find a way to not turn the ball over there.
00:09You know, specifically the one in the red zone.
00:10That's the one I'm most upset about.
00:12The only one I got hit as I was throwing.
00:14Those are going to happen sometimes.
00:18Yeah.
00:20How much did things change when Jamar went out in terms of what you were looking at and trying to
00:23do out there?
00:24I think it mainly changed how they were playing.
00:26I mean, obviously, you know, when a guy like Jamar goes out, it's going to be tough.
00:32But, I mean, those guys came in and really stepped up.
00:34Dante and Mitch, Tanner and Mike.
00:37I mean, those guys.
00:38And really, T for a good part of the game, too.
00:42Balled as well.
00:44And then T went out and Tanner, Mike, Mitch, and Dante.
00:48I mean, you can't say enough about those guys.
00:50What was your mentality?
00:51What were you thinking about going in, no timeouts left, getting back on the field?
00:54What was running through your mind?
00:55Yeah, I felt good about it.
00:56You know, hit two big ones off the jump.
01:00And, you know, I was feeling really good about it.
01:03You know, I'll have to, you know, it was pretty chaotic.
01:05So, I got to go back and watch the tape and, you know, figure out what happened on those first
01:11three downs before that fourth down.
01:16But we moved into a good spot and gave ourselves a chance.
01:21Sounded like Zach had an emotional message to the team in the locker room after the game.
01:25And what is the feeling among the team right now?
01:29Yeah, we're very confident.
01:30You know, we're two and two.
01:31But, you know, nobody wins a championship after week four.
01:37So, do you – sorry, I didn't mean to cut you.
01:39No, go ahead.
01:40Do you feel it's important, like, for yourself to drive the, I don't know, the mood or the feeling among
01:48the team,
01:48the attitude coming out of a game like this, out of two games like this?
01:52Yeah, that's part of what leaders do.
01:55But at the same time, you know, we're still very confident.
01:58And we have guys in that locker room that feel really good about what we are and what we're going
02:05to do.
02:07You know, obviously the last two weeks haven't gone the way that we want.
02:11But, you know, I was proud of us fighting back there in that fourth quarter.
02:15Obviously, you know, you'd like to get it done.
02:17We're not here for more victories.
02:20This is the NFL, so, you know, no excuses.
02:25But we got a lot ahead of them.
02:27Just the grit you saw defensively today from your guys?
02:31Yeah, we made plays when we had to.
02:33You know, it's a good offense.
02:35And, you know, we got to find ways to score more points.
02:40That last week in completion to Gasicki there late, what did you see on that one?
02:44Yeah, we just had a little miscommunication there, a little miscommunication.
02:47That fourth down call, last play of the game.
02:51Were you kind of looking to go ahead of the sticks and you saw something with Chase down there?
02:55Or was that your primary read over there?
02:57Yeah, we had one-on-one.
02:58And, you know, we had a play call, but I saw the one-on-one.
03:03And got it to Chase in space.
03:05And the guy made a great tackle.
03:06So, you know, we were just short, and that's how it goes.
03:11Why do you think it was difficult when you execute the first half?
03:14Or at least execute and produce in terms of points?
03:17Yeah, we'll have to go back and watch the tape and come back with our takeaways
03:21and talk about it as an offense.
03:23Can you take us through the interception?
03:25Yeah, the one in the right zone.
03:26Yeah, that's just, you know, a bad play by me.
03:30You know, got pressure and was trying to get rid of it.
03:32And, you know, it didn't seem.
03:35Knowing who you guys have at receiver and you have quarterback,
03:38everybody that watches you knows you guys are always going to be pass-first offense.
03:42But look at the stat sheet and you see a difference between 111 rushing yards for the Jags
03:48and 23 on your end.
03:50Do you feel like there needs to be a little bit more balance there?
03:53You're obviously knowing it's all you guys are always going to be a pass-first offense.
03:57But do you feel like it's balanced enough?
03:59You know, my response to that would be let's throw more.
04:03Why is that the response?
04:05Because I know we're great at it.
04:06I know, you know, that's what I do best.
04:08And, you know, we're really pass-protecting really well right now.
04:12You know, obviously we'd like to get more out of the run game.
04:14But, you know, I know we'll make it work.
04:17Is it a matter of you don't want to bang your head against the ball at that point?
04:20If you're not going to run well?
04:22You know, like obviously it depends on how the game is going, right?
04:28But, you know, I'm always going to want the ball in my hands in those spots.
04:33And, you know, there'll be games where we run the heck out of the ball.
04:37And we're going to get in the center and run it.
04:39And there'll be games that we need to drop back 60 times and go and make it happen.
04:43And, you know, we'll find that balance as the season goes.
04:47But, yeah, we can be better in both areas.
04:50What's the most frustrating part about being back at 500 after the whale started?
04:54Yeah, obviously not.
04:55You know, we had our opportunities the last two weeks.
04:57But, you know, certainly this isn't Armageddon or anything.
05:01I think we're still in a great spot and, you know, feel really good about our team.
05:07Come back to practice next week, keep getting better.
05:09And that's what the NFL is all about.
05:11You can't ride the roller coaster of the week to week.
05:13You're going to win some, you're going to lose some.
05:14And, obviously, you want to win every single one.
05:17You're going to fight like hell to make it happen.
05:19But we're not going to ride that roller coaster.
05:22That last drive you had Mitch, Mike, and basically Dante.
05:26You know, three guys you probably never worked with all at once in that kind of a situation.
05:32Were you drawing it up or how did that drive evolve?
05:36We called it just like we would have if anybody else was in there.
05:40You know, those guys made plays.
05:42You know, I've said that this is the deepest room that we've had.
05:47And I thank God we got Mitch back this week.
05:50He really came in and played great and made some big-time plays for us.
05:55Obviously, Dante did too.
05:57Mike, he's going to be Mike.
05:59He's going to, you know, find the spots and be creative in his routes.
06:04And Tanner went in there and did a good job as well.
06:07So we've got so many pass catchers that we feel really good about.
06:10And I think they really did step up today.
06:12I don't know how many yards we had, but, you know, it felt like we were completing the ball and
06:17moving the chains.
06:18The touchdown to Mike was, wait, see if he didn't pass the linebacker.
06:23Yeah, you know, their linebackers were doing a great job all day of being physical underneath and disrupting rounds.
06:29And when you play those kind of defenders, there's a space back there to make plays.
06:36You just have to figure out a way to get past those guys and not get disrupted.
06:40And Mike did a great job right there.
06:42You said it's not Armageddon.
06:43You had a lot of championship talk going into the season, your four games at 2-2.
06:47Where do you feel like that's at now as you approach wrestling?
06:49I still feel great about it.
06:50I feel great about it.
06:53You know, we played a good team this week and we came up short.
06:56The game didn't play out the way we wanted to, but, you know, that's life in the NFL.
07:01So we'll come back and, you know, get better on Monday, rest on Tuesday,
07:08and just keep getting better throughout practice.
07:10I know the NFL's ability, you know, at the next man I'm getting,
07:13but is there any frustration from your perspective?
07:15You know, you've had three straight weeks where at least one receiver's gone down.
07:18Is there any frustration from you guys from your perspective of it?
07:22And if not, if so, is it just as simple as compartmentalizing,
07:27which is like let's just go win this game and figure out the rest later?
07:30No, certainly no frustration.
07:32Like I said, you know, those guys really step up,
07:34and I had a lot of confidence in those guys going into the year.
07:38And they just keep proving me right.
07:41You know, when we get, when guys like Jamar and Keith go down,
07:44then you're going to start getting a little more man.
07:46That's basically what we got after that.
07:49And they did a great job doing man coverage.
07:51Those are good corners over there that play physical.
07:56You know, number four and number 12,
07:58they're good players.
08:02You know, specifically number four,
08:03being physical in the early parts of the routes
08:07can really disrupt timing and ball placement
08:11if your receivers aren't physical right back.
08:14And I think they really did a great job today.
08:16He's going to win some reps,
08:17but our guys did a great job.
08:21You mentioned Dante's show in that second half
08:22that they have, you know, what it takes, at least right now,
08:26in the very short term to fill in
08:27and step into even bigger roles,
08:29depending on what happens with the warranty.
08:30Certainly, certainly.
08:31Last couple weeks, you've had the offense on the field
08:34at the end of the game with a chance to win it
08:36and it hasn't worked out.
08:38What's it going to take for this offense
08:39to get over that hump
08:40and be able to win a game in the end like that?
08:43Yeah, just kind of execute in those moments.
08:47You know, each play is its own story
08:51and you've got to try your best
08:55to execute as good as you can
08:57in the context of that story.
08:59And, you know, sometimes we did today
09:02and sometimes we didn't.
09:03That's the NFL.
09:04That's the NFL.
