00:05Qatar says efforts to ease the regional crisis are continuing, with messages still going back
00:10and forth between the different sides. We've just had an update here from the foreign ministry in
00:15Doha. Doha says contacts between Washington and Tehran haven't stopped as mediators try to find
00:20common ground. The scale of this conflict and the magnitude of the price that the whole world is
00:26paying require us to put our best efforts to end this immediately through a negotiable solution
00:33on the negotiation table. Iran's interior minister has met Qatar's amir with talks focused on
00:40de-escalation. The fate of three Iranian military pilots also came up. Tehran claims they're being
00:46held in Qatar. Doha denies that and says Iran can send a technical team to review details of its
00:51search-and-rescue operation. Meanwhile, tensions are also rising in Yemen. Houthi attacks have hit
00:57airports in Jizan and Najran in Saudi Arabia, prompting Saudi-led coalition strikes in Yemen.
01:21Qatar also backs the Mecca alliance between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, but says it's too early to
01:27discuss joining. And the escalation is getting Europe's attention. European Commission President
01:32Ursula von der Leyen says the Houthi attacks are fueling violence and threatening global energy
01:37security. The issue is expected to feature prominently at the second annual EU-GCC summit
01:42in Saudi Arabia on October 24th, which Qatar's amir has been invited to attend. But so far those
01:49diplomatic efforts haven't led to a breakthrough. And with tensions playing out on several fronts,
01:54there's growing pressure to find a way forward. Adil Halim, Euronews, Doha.
