00:02Cornell's faculty Senate is preparing a rare vote of no confidence in the university's leadership
00:07as anger grows over its handling of a 2024 alleged gang rape. The largely symbolic resolution would
00:14put new pressure on university leaders who are already facing calls for change over how the
00:19school handled these sexual assault allegations. The vote is expected October 14th. It comes after
00:25hundreds of students, faculty and community members protested on campus late Monday. Cornell's main
00:31administration building was also found covered in graffiti and damaged. Protesters accused the
00:37university's president and trustees of putting Cornell's reputation ahead of student safety.
00:43Some are now calling for President Michael Kotlikoff to resign and for the university to ban fraternities.
